 箴1:1 以色列王大卫儿子所罗门的箴言:

K 箴1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

N 箴1:1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:

 箴1:2 要使人晓得智慧和训诲,分辨通达的言语,

K 箴1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

N 箴1:2 for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight;

 箴1:3 使人处事领受智慧、仁义、公平、正直的训诲,

K 箴1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

N 箴1:3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair;

 箴1:4 使愚人灵明,使少年人有知识和谋略,

K 箴1:4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

N 箴1:4 for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young--

 箴1:5 使智慧人听见,增长学问,使聪明人得着智谋,

K 箴1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

N 箴1:5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance--

 箴1:6 使人明白箴言和譬喻,懂得智慧人的言词和谜语。

K 箴1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

N 箴1:6 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

 箴1:7 敬畏耶和华是知识的开端;愚妄人藐视智慧和训诲。

K 箴1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

N 箴1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

 箴1:8 我儿,要听你父亲的训诲,不可离弃你母亲的法则(或作“指教”),

K 箴1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

N 箴1:8 Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.

 箴1:9 因为这要作你头上的华冠,你项上的金链。

K 箴1:9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

N 箴1:9 They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.

 箴1:10 我儿,恶人若引诱你,你不可随从。

K 箴1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

N 箴1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them.

 箴1:11 他们若说:“你与我们同去,我们要埋伏流人之血,要蹲伏害无罪之人。

K 箴1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

N 箴1:11 If they say, "Come along with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's waylay some harmless soul;

 箴1:12 我们好像阴间,把他们活活吞下;他们如同下坑的人,被我们囫囵吞了。

K 箴1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

N 箴1:12 let's swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

 箴1:13 我们必得各样宝物,将所掳来的装满房屋。

K 箴1:13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

N 箴1:13 we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;

 箴1:14 你与我们大家同分,我们共用一个囊袋。”

K 箴1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

N 箴1:14 throw in your lot with us, and we will share a common purse"--

 箴1:15 我儿,不要与他们同行一道,禁止你脚走他们的路!

K 箴1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

N 箴1:15 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;

 箴1:16 因为他们的脚奔跑行恶,他们急速流人的血,

K 箴1:16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

N 箴1:16 for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood.

 箴1:17 好像飞鸟,网罗设在眼前仍不躲避。

K 箴1:17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

N 箴1:17 How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds!

 箴1:18 这些人埋伏,是为自流己血;蹲伏,是为自害己命。

K 箴1:18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

N 箴1:18 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves!

 箴1:19 凡贪恋财利的,所行之路都是如此;这贪恋之心乃夺去得财者之命。

K 箴1:19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

N 箴1:19 Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it.

 箴1:20 智慧在街市上呼喊,在宽阔处发声,

K 箴1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

N 箴1:20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;

 箴1:21 在热闹街头喊叫,在城门口、在城中发出言语,

K 箴1:21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

N 箴1:21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:

 箴1:22 说:“你们愚昧人喜爱愚昧,亵慢人喜欢亵慢,愚顽人恨恶知识,要到几时呢?

K 箴1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

N 箴1:22 "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

 箴1:23 你们当因我的责备回转,我要将我的灵浇灌你们,将我的话指示你们。

K 箴1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

N 箴1:23 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.

 箴1:24 我呼唤,你们不肯听从;我伸手,无人理会。

K 箴1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

N 箴1:24 But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,

 箴1:25 反轻弃我一切的劝戒,不肯受我的责备。

K 箴1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

N 箴1:25 since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke,

 箴1:26 你们遭灾难,我就发笑;惊恐临到你们,我必嗤笑。

K 箴1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

N 箴1:26 I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you--

 箴1:27 惊恐临到你们,好像狂风;灾难来到,如同暴风,急难痛苦临到你们身上。

K 箴1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

N 箴1:27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

 箴1:28 那时,你们必呼求我,我却不答应;恳切地寻找我,却寻不见。

K 箴1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

N 箴1:28 "Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.

 箴1:29 因为你们恨恶知识,不喜爱敬畏耶和华,

K 箴1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

N 箴1:29 Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD,

 箴1:30 不听我的劝戒,藐视我一切的责备,

K 箴1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

N 箴1:30 since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,

 箴1:31 所以必吃自结的果子,充满自设的计谋。

K 箴1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

N 箴1:31 they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.

 箴1:32 愚昧人背道,必杀己身;愚顽人安逸,必害己命。

K 箴1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

N 箴1:32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;

 箴1:33 惟有听从我的,必安然居住,得享安静,不怕灾祸。”

K 箴1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

N 箴1:33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."
