创世记第21章

 创21:1 耶和华按着先前的话眷顾撒拉,便照他所说的给撒拉成就。

K 创21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

N 创21:1 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.

 创21:2 当亚伯拉罕年老的时候,撒拉怀了孕,到 神所说的日期,就给亚伯拉罕生了一个儿子。

K 创21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

N 创21:2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.

 创21:3 亚伯拉罕给撒拉所生的儿子起名叫以撒。

K 创21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

N 创21:3 Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him.

 创21:4 以撒生下来第八日,亚伯拉罕照着 神所吩咐的,给以撒行了割礼。

K 创21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

N 创21:4 When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him.

 创21:5 他儿子以撒生的时候,亚伯拉罕年一百岁。

K 创21:5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

N 创21:5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

 创21:6 撒拉说:“ 神使我喜笑,凡听见的必与我一同喜笑。”

K 创21:6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

N 创21:6 Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."

 创21:7 又说:“谁能预先对亚伯拉罕说‘撒拉要乳养婴孩呢?’因为在他年老的时候,我给他生了一个儿子。”

K 创21:7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

N 创21:7 And she added, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."

 创21:8 孩子渐长,就断了奶。以撒断奶的日子,亚伯拉罕设摆丰盛的筵席。

K 创21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

N 创21:8 The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.

 创21:9 当时,撒拉看见埃及人夏甲给亚伯拉罕所生的儿子戏笑,

K 创21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

N 创21:9 But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking,

 创21:10 就对亚伯拉罕说:“你把这使女和她儿子赶出去!因为这使女的儿子不可与我的儿子以撒一同承受产业。”

K 创21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

N 创21:10 and she said to Abraham, "Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac."

 创21:11 亚伯拉罕因他儿子的缘故很忧愁。

K 创21:11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

N 创21:11 The matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son.

 创21:12 神对亚伯拉罕说:“你不必为这童子和你的使女忧愁,凡撒拉对你说的话,你都该听从,因为从以撒生的,才要称为你的后裔。

K 创21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

N 创21:12 But God said to him, "Do not be so distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.

 创21:13 至于使女的儿子,我也必使他的后裔成立一国,因为他是你所生的。”

K 创21:13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

N 创21:13 I will make the son of the maidservant into a nation also, because he is your offspring."

 创21:14 亚伯拉罕清早起来,拿饼和一皮袋水,给了夏甲,搭在她的肩上,又把孩子交给她,打发她走。夏甲就走了,在别是巴的旷野走迷了路。

K 创21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

N 创21:14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the desert of Beersheba.

 创21:15 皮袋的水用尽了,夏甲就把孩子撇在小树底下,

K 创21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

N 创21:15 When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes.

 创21:16 自己走开约有一箭之远,相对而坐,说:“我不忍见孩子死!”就相对而坐,放声大哭。

K 创21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

N 创21:16 Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she thought, "I cannot watch the boy die." And as she sat there nearby, she began to sob.

 创21:17 神听见童子的声音。 神的使者从天上呼叫夏甲说:“夏甲!你为何这样呢?不要害怕, 神已经听见童子的声音了。

K 创21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

N 创21:17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, "What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.

 创21:18 起来!把童子抱在怀中(“怀”原文作“手”),我必使他的后裔成为大国。”

K 创21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

N 创21:18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation."

 创21:19 神使夏甲的眼睛明亮,她就看见一口水井,便去将皮袋盛满了水,给童子喝。

K 创21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

N 创21:19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

 创21:20 神保佑童子,他就渐长,住在旷野,成了弓箭手。

K 创21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

N 创21:20 God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.

 创21:21 他住在巴兰的旷野,他母亲从埃及地给他娶了一个妻子。

K 创21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

N 创21:21 While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt.

 创21:22 当那时候,亚比米勒同他军长非各对亚伯拉罕说:“凡你所行的事都有 神的保佑。

K 创21:22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

N 创21:22 At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, "God is with you in everything you do.

 创21:23 我愿你如今在这里指着 神对我起誓,不要欺负我与我的儿子,并我的子孙,我怎样厚待了你,你也要照样厚待我与你所寄居这地的民。”

K 创21:23 Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

N 创21:23 Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you are living as an alien the same kindness I have shown to you."

 创21:24 亚伯拉罕说:“我情愿起誓。”

K 创21:24 And Abraham said, I will swear.

N 创21:24 Abraham said, "I swear it."

 创21:25 从前亚比米勒的仆人霸占了一口水井,亚伯拉罕为这事指责亚比米勒。

K 创21:25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

N 创21:25 Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech's servants had seized.

 创21:26 亚比米勒说:“谁作这事我不知道,你也没有告诉我,今日我才听见了。”

K 创21:26 And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

N 创21:26 But Abimelech said, "I don't know who has done this. You did not tell me, and I heard about it only today."

 创21:27 亚伯拉罕把羊和牛给了亚比米勒,二人就彼此立约。

K 创21:27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

N 创21:27 So Abraham brought sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a treaty.

 创21:28 亚伯拉罕把七只母羊羔另放在一处。

K 创21:28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

N 创21:28 Abraham set apart seven ewe lambs from the flock,

 创21:29 亚比米勒问亚伯拉罕说:“你把这七只母羊羔另放在一处,是什么意思呢?”

K 创21:29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

N 创21:29 and Abimelech asked Abraham, "What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?"

 创21:30 他说:“你要从我手里受这七只母羊羔,作我挖这口井的证据。”

K 创21:30 And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

N 创21:30 He replied, "Accept these seven lambs from my hand as a witness that I dug this well."

 创21:31 所以他给那地方起名叫别是巴(就是“盟誓的井”),因为他们二人在那里起了誓。

K 创21:31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.

N 创21:31 So that place was called Beersheba, because the two men swore an oath there.

 创21:32 他们在别是巴立了约,亚比米勒就同他军长非各起身回非利士地去了。

K 创21:32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

N 创21:32 After the treaty had been made at Beersheba, Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces returned to the land of the Philistines.

 创21:33 亚伯拉罕在别是巴栽上一棵垂丝柳树,又在那里求告耶和华永生 神的名。

K 创21:33 And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

N 创21:33 Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.

 创21:34 亚伯拉罕在非利士人的地寄居了多日。

K 创21:34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.

N 创21:34 And Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for a long time.
