王下1:1 亚哈死后，摩押背叛以色列。
王下1:1 After the death of Ahab, Moab made itself free from the authority of Israel.
王下1:2 有一天，亚哈谢在撒玛利亚，从楼上的窗户掉下来，他就病了；于是他差派使者，对他们说：“你们去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，我这个病到底能否复原？”
王下1:2 Now Ahaziah had a fall from the window of his room in Samaria, and was ill. And he sent men, and said to them, Put a question to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, about the outcome of my disease, to see if I will get well or not.
王下1:3 但耶和华的使者对提斯比人以利亚说：“你动身上去迎着撒玛利亚王的使者，对他们说：‘你们去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有 神吗？
王下1:3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Go now, and, meeting the men sent by the king of Samaria, say to them, Is it because there is no God in Israel, that you are going to get directions from Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?
王下1:4 因此，耶和华这样说：你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”于是以利亚去了。
王下1:4 Give ear then to the words of the Lord: You will never again get down from the bed on to which you have gone up, but death will certainly come to you. Then Elijah went away.
王下1:5 众使者回到亚哈谢那里；他对他们说：“你们为什么回来呢？”
王下1:5 And the men he had sent came back to the king; and he said to them, Why have you come back?
王下1:6 他们对王说：“有一个人上来迎着我们，又对我们说：‘去吧，回到那差派你们的王那里，对他说：耶和华这样说：你派人去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有 神吗？因此，你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”
王下1:6 And they said to him, On our way we had a meeting with a man who said, Go back to the king who sent you and say to him, The Lord says, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you send to put a question to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? For this reason, you will not come down from the bed on to which you have gone up, but death will certainly come to you.
王下1:7 王对他们说：“那上来迎着你们，又对你们说这番话的是个怎样的人？”
王下1:7 And he said to them, What sort of a man was it who came and said these words to you?
王下1:8 他们对王说：“那人穿着毛皮衣，腰间束上皮带。”王说：“这人必是提斯比人以利亚。”
王下1:8 And they said in answer, He was a man clothed in a coat of hair, with a leather band about his body. Then he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
王下1:9 于是王差派一个五十夫长和他的五十名手下到以利亚那里；那位五十夫长就上到以利亚那里去。他看见以利亚正坐在山顶上，就对以利亚说：“神人哪！王吩咐你下来。”
王下1:9 Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men; and he went up to him where he was seated on the top of a hill, and said to him, O man of God, the king has said, Come down.
王下1:10 以利亚回答五十夫长说：“如果我是神人，愿火从天降下，把你和你的五十名手下吞灭。”于是有火从天降下，吞灭了五十夫长和他的五十名手下。
王下1:10 And Elijah in answer said to the captain of fifty, If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven on you and on your fifty men, and put an end to you. Then fire came down from heaven and put an end to him and his fifty men.
王下1:11 王再次派一个五十夫长和他的五十名手下到以利亚那里去。那五十夫长对以利亚说：“神人哪！王这样吩咐：‘你赶快下来。’”
王下1:11 Then the king sent another captain of fifty with his fifty men; and he said to Elijah, O man of God, the king says, Come down quickly.
王下1:12 以利亚回答他们说：“如果我是神人，愿火从天降下，把你和你的五十名手下吞灭。”于是 神的火从天降下，吞灭了五十夫长和他的五十名手下。
王下1:12 And Elijah in answer said, If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven on you and on your fifty men, and put an end to you. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and put an end to him and his fifty men.
王下1:13 王又派出第三名五十夫长和他的五十名手下；那五十夫长来到，就双膝跪在以利亚面前，恳求他，对他说：“神人哪！愿我的性命和这五十个仆人的性命在你眼中看为宝贵。
王下1:13 Then he sent a third captain of fifty with his fifty men; and the third captain of fifty went up, and falling on his knees before Elijah, requesting mercy of him, said, O man of God, let my life and the life of these your fifty servants be of value to you.
王下1:14 看哪！曾经有火从天降下，吞灭了先前两个五十夫长和他们各五十名手下；现在，愿我的性命在你眼中看为宝贵。”
王下1:14 For fire came down from heaven and put an end to the first two captains of fifty and their fifties; but now let my life be of value in your eyes.
王下1:15 耶和华的使者对以利亚说：“你和他下去吧，不要怕他。”于是以利亚起来，和他下山到王那里去了。
王下1:15 Then the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, Go down with him; have no fear of him. So he got up and went down with him to the king.
王下1:16 以利亚对亚哈谢说：“耶和华这样说：‘你差派使者去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有 神可以求问吗？因此，你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”
王下1:16 And he said to him, This is the word of the Lord: Because you sent men to put a question to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, for this reason you will never again get down from the bed on to which you have gone up, but death will certainly come to you.
王下1:17 亚哈谢果然死了，正如耶和华藉以利亚所宣告的话。因为他没有儿子，他的弟弟约兰就接续他作王，那时是犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰第二年。
王下1:17 So death came to him, as the Lord had said by the mouth of Elijah. And Jehoram became king in his place in the second year of the rule of Jehoram, son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah; because he had no son.
王下1:18 亚哈谢其余所行的事迹，不是都写在以色列诸王的年代志上吗？
王下1:18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?
