创2:1 这样，天地万物都造齐了。
创2:1 And the heaven and the earth and all things in them were complete.
创2:2 第七日， 神完成了他所作的工；在第七日 神歇了他所作的一切工。
创2:2 And on the seventh day God came to the end of all his work; and on the seventh day he took his rest from all the work which he had done.
创2:3 神赐福第七日，把它分别为圣，因为在这一日， 神停了他一切所创造的工，歇息了。
创2:3 And God gave his blessing to the seventh day and made it holy: because on that day he took his rest from all the work which he had made and done.
创2:4 这是创造天地的起源：耶和华 神造天地的时候，
创2:4 These are the generations of the heaven and the earth when they were made.
创2:5 原野上还没有树木，田间的蔬菜还没有长起来，因为耶和华 神还没有降雨在地上，也没有人耕种土地；
创2:5 In the day when the Lord God made earth and heaven there were no plants of the field on the earth, and no grass had come up: for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to do work on the land.
创2:6 不过有雾气从地面上升，滋润全地。
创2:6 But a mist went up from the earth, watering all the face of the land.
创2:7 耶和华 神用地上的尘土造成人形，把生气吹进他的鼻孔里，那人就成了有生命的活人，名叫亚当。
创2:7 And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.
创2:8 耶和华 神在东方的伊甸，栽了一个园子，把他所造的人放在那里。
创2:8 And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had made.
创2:9 耶和华 神使各样的树从地上长起来，能悦人的眼目，也好作食物。园子中间又有生命树，和知善恶树。
创2:9 And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come, delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
创2:10 有一条河从伊甸流出来，灌溉那园子；从那里分支，成了四道河的源头。
创2:10 And a river went out of Eden giving water to the garden; and from there it was parted and became four streams.
创2:11 第一道河名叫比逊，就是环绕哈腓拉全地的，在那里有金子；
创2:11 The name of the first is Pishon, which goes round about all the land of Havilah where there is gold.
创2:12 那地的金子是好的；在那里也有红玉和玛瑙。
创2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
创2:13 第二道河名叫基训，就是环绕古实全地的。
创2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: this river goes round all the land of Cush.
创2:14 第三道河名叫底格里斯河（“底格里斯河”原文作“希底结”），就是流向亚述东边的。第四道河就是幼发拉底河（“幼发拉底河”原文作“伯拉河”）。
创2:14 And the name of the third river is Tigris, which goes to the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
创2:15 耶和华 神把那人安置在伊甸园里，叫他耕种和看守那园子。
创2:15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it.
创2:16 耶和华 神吩咐那人说：“园中各样树上的果子，你都可以吃；
创2:16 And the Lord God gave the man orders, saying, You may freely take of the fruit of every tree of the garden:
创2:17 只是那知善恶树的果子，你不可吃；因为你吃的时候，你必要死。”
创2:17 But of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you may not take; for on the day when you take of it, death will certainly come to you.
创2:18 耶和华 神说：“那人独居不好，我要为他造个和他相配的帮手。”
创2:18 And the Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be by himself: I will make one like himself as a help to him
创2:19 耶和华 神用泥土造了野地的各样野兽，和空中的各样飞鸟，把牠们都带到那人面前，看他给牠们叫什么名字；那人怎样叫各样有生命的活物，那就是牠的名字。
创2:19 And from the earth the Lord God made every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and took them to the man to see what names he would give them: and whatever name he gave to any living thing, that was its name.
创2:20 那人就给各样牲畜、空中的雀鸟，和野地的各样走兽起了名字；只是那人没有遇见一个和他相配的帮手。
创2:20 And the man gave names to all cattle and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field; but Adam had no one like himself as a help.
创2:21 耶和华 神使那人沉睡。他熟睡的时候，耶和华 神取了他的一根肋骨，又使肉在原处复合。
创2:21 And the Lord God sent a deep sleep on the man, and took one of the bones from his side while he was sleeping, joining up the flesh again in its place:
创2:22 然后，耶和华 神用从那人身上所取的肋骨，造了一个女人，带她到那人面前。
创2:22 And the bone which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman, and took her to the man.
创2:23 那人说：“这是我骨中的骨，肉中的肉；她当称为女人，因她是从男人身上取出来的。”
创2:23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh: let her name be Woman because she was taken out of Man.
创2:24 因此人要离开父母，和妻子连合，二人成为一体。
创2:24 For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.
创2:25 那时，夫妻二人赤身露体，彼此都不觉得羞耻。
创2:25 And the man and his wife were without clothing, and they had no sense of shame.
