何1:1 犹大王乌西雅、约坦、亚哈斯、希西家在位的时候，也是约阿施的儿子以色列王耶罗波安执政的时候，耶和华的话临到备利的儿子何西阿。
何1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel.
何1:2 耶和华初次借着何西阿说话。耶和华对何西阿说：“你去娶一个像娼妓一样的女人，生养像娼妓一样的儿女，因为这地盛行淫乱，离开了耶和华。”
何1:2 The start of the word of the Lord by Hosea: And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take for yourself a wife of loose ways, and children of the same, for the land has been untrue to the Lord.
何1:3 于是他就去娶了滴拉音的女儿歌玛。后来，她怀了孕，给他生了一个儿子。
何1:3 So he took as his wife Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, and she gave birth to a son.
何1:4 耶和华就对何西阿说：“给他起名叫耶斯列；因为不久我就要惩罚耶户家在耶斯列流人血的罪，我要灭绝以色列家的国。
何1:4 And the Lord said to him, Give him the name of Jezreel, for after a little time I will send punishment for the blood of Jezreel on the line of Jehu, and put an end to the kingdom of Israel.
何1:5 “到那日，我要在耶斯列平原折断以色列的弓。”
何1:5 And in that day I will let the bow of Israel be broken in the valley of Jezreel.
何1:6 后来，歌玛又怀孕，生了一个女儿。耶和华对何西阿说：“给她起名叫罗．路哈玛（“罗．路哈玛”意即“不蒙怜恤”）；因为我必不再怜恤以色列家，我决不赦免他们。
何1:6 And after that she gave birth to a daughter. And the Lord said, Give her the name Lo-ruhamah; for I will not again have mercy on Israel, to give them forgiveness.
何1:7 “但我要怜恤犹大家，使他们靠耶和华他们的 神得救。我要拯救他们，并不是靠弓、靠刀、靠兵器，也不是靠战马、靠骑兵。”
何1:7 But I will have mercy on Judah and will give them salvation by the Lord their God, but not by the bow or the sword or by fighting or by horses or horsemen.
何1:8 罗．路哈玛断奶之后，歌玛又怀孕生了一个儿子。
何1:8 Now when Lo-ruhamah had been taken from the breast, the woman gave birth to a son.
何1:9 耶和华说：“给他起名叫罗．阿米（“罗．阿米”意即“非我民”）；因为你们不是我的子民，我也不是你们的 神。
何1:9 And the Lord said, Give him the name Lo-ammi; for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.
何1:10 “然而，以色列人的数目，必多如海边的沙，量不尽，数不完。从前在什么地方对他们说：‘你们不是我的子民’，将来要在那里对他们说：‘你们是永活的 神的儿子。’
何1:10 But still the number of the children of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which may not be measured or numbered; and in place of its being said to them, You are not my people, it will be said to them, You are the sons of the living God
何1:11 犹大人和以色列人要聚集在一起，为自己立一位首领，并离开那地上去，因为耶斯列的日子必为大日。”（本章第10~11节在《马索拉抄本》为2:1~2）
何1:11 And the children of Israel and the children of Judah will come together and take for themselves one head, and will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
