书1:1 耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华吩咐摩西的侍从，嫩的儿子约书亚，说：
书1:1 Now after the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, the word of the Lord came to Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses' helper, saying,
书1:2 “我的仆人摩西死了；现在你要起来，和全体人民过这约旦河，到我现在要赐给他们以色列人的地去。
书1:2 Moses my servant is dead; so now get up! Go over Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the children of Israel.
书1:3 你们脚掌踏过的每一处地方，我都照着我应许摩西的赐给你们了。
书1:3 Every place on which you put your foot I have given to you, as I said to Moses.
书1:4 从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，以至大海日落的地方，就是你们的疆界。
书1:4 From the waste land and this mountain Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, and all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea, in the west, will be your country.
书1:5 你一生的日子必没有一人能在你面前立得住；我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我决不离开你，也不离弃你。
书1:5 While you are living, all will give way before you: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not take away my help from you or give you up.
书1:6 你要坚强勇敢，因为你必使这人民得着我曾经向他们列祖起誓，要赐给他们的那地作产业。
书1:6 Take heart and be strong; for you will give to this people for their heritage the land which I gave by an oath to their fathers.
书1:7 你只要坚强，十分勇敢，谨守遵行我仆人摩西吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏离左右，好使你无论到哪里去，都可以亨通。
书1:7 Only take heart and be very strong; take care to do all the law which Moses my servant gave you, not turning from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may do well in all your undertakings.
书1:8 这律法书不可离开你的口，要昼夜默诵，好使你谨守遵行书中所记的一切；这样，你的道路就必顺利，你必一路亨通。
书1:8 Let this book of the law be ever on your lips and in your thoughts day and night, so that you may keep with care everything in it; then a blessing will be on all your way, and you will do well.
书1:9 我不是吩咐过你要坚强勇敢吗？所以，你不要惧怕，也不要惊慌；因为你无论到哪里去，耶和华你的 神必与你同在。”
书1:9 Have I not given you your orders? Take heart and be strong; have no fear and do not be troubled; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go,
书1:10 于是约书亚吩咐人民的官长说：
书1:10 Then Joshua gave their orders to those who were in authority over the people, saying,
书1:11 “你们要走遍营中，吩咐人民说：‘你们要预备粮食，因为三天之内，你们要过这约旦河，进去得耶和华你们的 神要赐给你们作产业的地。’”
书1:11 Go through the tents and give orders to the people, saying, Get ready a store of food; for in three days you are to go over this river Jordan and take for your heritage the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
书1:12 约书亚又对流本人、迦得人和玛拿西半个支派的人说：
书1:12 And to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said,
书1:13 “你们要记住耶和华的仆人摩西吩咐你们的话：‘耶和华你们的 神赐你们安息，他必把这地赐给你们。’
书1:13 Keep in mind what Moses, the servant of the Lord, said to you, The Lord your God is sending you rest and will give you this land.
书1:14 你们的妻子、孩子和牲畜，都可以留在约旦河东边、摩西赐给你们的地上；但你们所有英勇的战士，都要拿起武器，在你们的兄弟前面过河去，帮助他们；
书1:14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle will be kept here in the land which Moses gave you on this side of Jordan; but you, the fighting-men, are to go over before your brothers, armed, to give them help;
书1:15 等到耶和华使你们的兄弟可以和你们一样安居，同样得着耶和华你们的 神要赐给他们作产业的地，你们才可以回到你们所得的地，以它作你们的产业，就是耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东边日出之地赐给你们的地方。”
书1:15 Till the Lord has given your brothers rest, as he has given it to you, and they have taken their heritage in the land which the Lord your God is giving them: then you will go back to the land of your heritage which Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you on the east side of Jordan.
书1:16 他们回答约书亚，说：“你吩咐我们的一切，我们都必遵行；无论你差派我们到哪里去，我们都一定去。
书1:16 Then they said to Joshua in answer, Whatever you say to us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
书1:17 我们从前怎样凡事听从摩西，现在也必照样听从你；唯愿耶和华你的 神与你同在，像与摩西同在一样。
书1:17 As we gave attention to Moses in all things, so we will give attention to you: and may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses.
书1:18 无论谁违背你的话，不听从你吩咐他的一切命令，那人必要处死。你只管坚强勇敢。”
书1:18 Whoever goes against your orders, and does not give attention to all your words, will be put to death: only take heart and be strong.
