彼后1:1 耶稣基督的仆人和使徒西门．彼得，写信给那靠着我们的 神和救主耶稣基督的义，得着和我们同样宝贵信心的人。
彼后1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who with us have a part in the same holy faith in the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:
彼后1:2 愿恩惠平安，因你们确实认识 神和我们的主耶稣，多多加给你们。
彼后1:2 May grace and peace ever be increasing in you, in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
彼后1:3 神以他神圣的能力，因着我们确实认识那位用自己的荣耀和美善呼召我们的，把一切有关生命和敬虔的事，都赐给了我们。
彼后1:3 Because by his power he has given us everything necessary for life and righteousness, through the knowledge of him who has been our guide by his glory and virtue;
彼后1:4 借着这些，他把又宝贵又极大的应许赐给了我们，好叫你们既然逃脱世上因私欲而来的败坏，就可以分享 神的本性。
彼后1:4 And through this he has given us the hope of great rewards highly to be valued; so that by them we might have our part in God's being, and be made free from the destruction which is in the world through the desires of the flesh.
彼后1:5 正因这缘故，你们要多多努力：有了信心，又要增添美德；有了美德，又要增添知识；
彼后1:5 So, for this very cause, take every care; joining virtue to faith, and knowledge to virtue,
彼后1:6 有了知识，又要增添节制；有了节制，又要增添忍耐；有了忍耐，又要增添敬虔；
彼后1:6 And self-control to knowledge, and a quiet mind to self-control, and fear of God to a quiet mind,
彼后1:7 有了敬虔，又要增添弟兄的爱；有了弟兄的爱，还要增添神圣的爱。
彼后1:7 And love of the brothers to fear of God, and to love of the brothers, love itself.
彼后1:8 因为你们有了这几样，并且继续增长，就必叫你们在确实认识我们的主耶稣基督上，不至于闲懒不结果子。
彼后1:8 For if you have these things in good measure, they will make you fertile and full of fruit in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
彼后1:9 人若没有这几样，就是近视，简直是瞎眼的，忘记他过去的罪已经得了洁净。
彼后1:9 For the man who has not these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having no memory of how he was made clean from his old sins.
彼后1:10 所以弟兄们，要更加努力，使你们所蒙的呼召和拣选坚定不移；你们若实行这几样，就决不会跌倒。
彼后1:10 For this reason, my brothers, take all the more care to make your selection and approval certain; for if you do these things you will never have a fall:
彼后1:11 这样，你们就得着充分的装备，可以进入我们的主和救主耶稣基督永远的国。
彼后1:11 For so the way will be open to you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
彼后1:12 因此，你们虽然已经知道这些事，又在你们已有的真道上得到坚固，我还要时常提醒你们。
彼后1:12 For this reason I will be ready at all times to keep your memory of these things awake, though you have the knowledge of them now and are well based in your present faith.
彼后1:13 趁着我还在世上（“在世上”原文作“在这帐棚”）的时候，我认为应当提醒你们，使你们常常警醒，
彼后1:13 And it seems right to me, as long as I am in this tent of flesh, to keep your minds awake by working on your memory;
彼后1:14 因为我知道我离世（“离世”原文作“离开这帐棚”）的时候快到了，正如我们的主耶稣基督清楚指示我的。
彼后1:14 For I am conscious that in a short time I will have to put off this tent of flesh, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
彼后1:15 我也要努力，使你们在我去世以后，还时常追念这些事。
彼后1:15 And I will take every care so that you may have a clear memory of these things after my death.
彼后1:16 我们从前把我们主耶稣基督的大能和降临的事告诉你们，并不是随从巧妙捏造传奇的故事，我们却是亲眼看见过他威荣的人。
彼后1:16 For when we gave you news of the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, our teaching was not based on stories put together by art, but we were eye-witnesses of his glory.
彼后1:17 因为他从父 神得着尊贵荣耀的时候，在极显赫的荣光中，有这样的声音对他说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。”
彼后1:17 For God the Father gave him honour and glory, when such a voice came to him out of the great glory, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased.
彼后1:18 这从天上发出来的声音，是我们和他同在圣山上的时候，亲自听见过的。
彼后1:18 And this voice came from heaven even to our ears, when we were with him on the holy mountain.
彼后1:19 我们还有先知的话，是更确实的。你们要特别注意它，好像注意照在暗处的明灯，直到天将破晓，晨星在你们心里出现的时候。
彼后1:19 And so the words of the prophets are made more certain; and it is well for you to give attention to them as to a light shining in a dark place, till the dawn comes and the morning star is seen in your hearts;
彼后1:20 最要紧的，你们应当知道：圣经所有的预言，都不是先知自己的见解，
彼后1:20 Being conscious in the first place that no man by himself may give a special sense to the words of the prophets.
彼后1:21 因为预言不是出于人意的，而是人受圣灵的感动，说出从 神而来的话。
彼后1:21 For these words did not ever come through the impulse of men: but the prophets had them from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
