撒母耳记上第16章

 撒上16:1 耶和华对撒母耳说:“我既厌弃扫罗作以色列的王,你为他悲伤要到几时呢?你将膏油盛满了角,我差遣你往伯利恒人耶西那里去,因为我在他众子之内,预定一个作王的。”

K 撒上16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

N 撒上16:1 The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king."

 撒上16:2 撒母耳说:“我怎能去呢?扫罗若听见,必要杀我。”耶和华说:“你可以带一只牛犊去,就说:‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

K 撒上16:2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

N 撒上16:2 But Samuel said, "How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me." The LORD said, "Take a heifer with you and say, 'I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.'

 撒上16:3 你要请耶西来吃祭肉,我就指示你所当行的事。我所指给你的人,你要膏他。”

K 撒上16:3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.

N 撒上16:3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate."

 撒上16:4 撒母耳就照耶和华的话去行。到了伯利恒,那城里的长老都战战兢兢地出来迎接他,问他说:“你是为平安来的吗?”

K 撒上16:4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?

N 撒上16:4 Samuel did what the LORD said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, "Do you come in peace?"

 撒上16:5 他说:“为平安来的。我是给耶和华献祭,你们当自洁,来与我同吃祭肉。”撒母耳就使耶西和他众子自洁,请他们来吃祭肉。

K 撒上16:5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

N 撒上16:5 Samuel replied, "Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me." Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

 撒上16:6 他们来的时候,撒母耳看见以利押,就心里说:“耶和华的受膏者必定在他面前。”

K 撒上16:6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.

N 撒上16:6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, "Surely the LORD'S anointed stands here before the LORD."

 撒上16:7 耶和华却对撒母耳说:“不要看他的外貌和他身材高大,我不拣选他。因为耶和华不像人看人:人是看外貌,耶和华是看内心。”

K 撒上16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

N 撒上16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

 撒上16:8 耶西叫亚比拿达从撒母耳面前经过,撒母耳说:“耶和华也不拣选他。”

K 撒上16:8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

N 撒上16:8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, "The LORD has not chosen this one either."

 撒上16:9 耶西又叫沙玛从撒母耳面前经过,撒母耳说:“耶和华也不拣选他。”

K 撒上16:9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

N 撒上16:9 Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, "Nor has the LORD chosen this one."

 撒上16:10 耶西叫他七个儿子都从撒母耳面前经过,撒母耳说:“这都不是耶和华所拣选的。”

K 撒上16:10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

N 撒上16:10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, "The LORD has not chosen these."

 撒上16:11 撒母耳对耶西说:“你的儿子都在这里吗?”他回答说:“还有个小的,现在放羊”撒母耳对耶西说:“你打发人去叫他来;他若不来,我们必不坐席。”

K 撒上16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

N 撒上16:11 So he asked Jesse, "Are these all the sons you have?" "There is still the youngest," Jesse answered, "but he is tending the sheep." Samuel said, "Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives."

 撒上16:12 耶西就打发人去叫了他来。他面色光红,双目清秀,容貌俊美。耶和华说:“这就是他,你起来膏他。”

K 撒上16:12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

N 撒上16:12 So he sent and had him brought in. He was ruddy, with a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD said, "Rise and anoint him; he is the one."

 撒上16:13 撒母耳就用角里的膏油,在他诸兄中膏了他。从这日起,耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

K 撒上16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

N 撒上16:13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came upon David in power. Samuel then went to Ramah.

 撒上16:14 耶和华的灵离开扫罗,有恶魔从耶和华那里来扰乱他。

K 撒上16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

N 撒上16:14 Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him.

 撒上16:15 扫罗的臣仆对他说:“现在有恶魔从 神那里来扰乱你。

K 撒上16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

N 撒上16:15 Saul's attendants said to him, "See, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you.

 撒上16:16 我们的主可以吩咐面前的臣仆,找一个善于弹琴的来,等 神那里来的恶魔临到你身上的时候,使他用手弹琴,你就好了。”

K 撒上16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

N 撒上16:16 Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who can play the harp. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes upon you, and you will feel better."

 撒上16:17 扫罗对臣仆说:“你们可以为我找一个善于弹琴的,带到我这里来。”

K 撒上16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.

N 撒上16:17 So Saul said to his attendants, "Find someone who plays well and bring him to me."

 撒上16:18 其中有一个少年人说:“我曾见伯利恒人耶西的一个儿子善于弹琴,是大有勇敢的战士,说话合宜,容貌俊美,耶和华也与他同在。”

K 撒上16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

N 撒上16:18 One of the servants answered, "I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the harp. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the LORD is with him."

 撒上16:19 于是,扫罗差遣使者去见耶西说:“请你打发你放羊的儿子大卫到我这里来。”

K 撒上16:19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

N 撒上16:19 Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, "Send me your son David, who is with the sheep."

 撒上16:20 耶西就把几个饼和一皮袋酒,并一只山羊羔,都驮在驴上,交给他儿子大卫,送与扫罗。

K 撒上16:20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

N 撒上16:20 So Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine and a young goat and sent them with his son David to Saul.

 撒上16:21 大卫到了扫罗那里,就侍立在扫罗面前。扫罗甚喜爱他,他就作了扫罗拿兵器的人。

K 撒上16:21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

N 撒上16:21 David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much, and David became one of his armor-bearers.

 撒上16:22 扫罗差遣人去见耶西说:“求你容大卫侍立在我面前,因为他在我眼前蒙了恩。”

K 撒上16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

N 撒上16:22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, "Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him."

 撒上16:23 从 神那里来的恶魔临到扫罗身上的时候,大卫就拿琴用手而弹,扫罗便舒畅爽快,恶魔离了他。

K 撒上16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

N 撒上16:23 Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.
