和 撒上31:1 非利士人与以色列人争战。以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波有被杀仆倒的。
K 撒上31:1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
N 撒上31:1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
和 撒上31:2 非利士人紧追扫罗和他儿子们，就杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单、亚比拿达、麦基舒亚。
K 撒上31:2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul's sons.
N 撒上31:2 The Philistines pressed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua.
和 撒上31:3 势派甚大，扫罗被弓箭手追上，射伤甚重，
K 撒上31:3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.
N 撒上31:3 The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him critically.
和 撒上31:4 就吩咐拿他兵器的人说：“你拔出刀来将我刺死，免得那些未受割礼的人来刺我、凌辱我。”但拿兵器的人甚惧怕，不肯刺他，扫罗就自己伏在刀上死了。
K 撒上31:4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
N 撒上31:4 Saul said to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me." But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
和 撒上31:5 拿兵器的人见扫罗已死，也伏在刀上死了。
K 撒上31:5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

和 撒上31:6 这样，扫罗和他三个儿子，与拿他兵器的人，以及跟随他的人，都一同死亡。

和 撒上31:7 住平原那边并约旦河西的以色列人，见以色列军兵逃跑，扫罗和他儿子都死了，也就弃城逃跑。非利士人便来住在其中。
K 撒上31:7 And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
N 撒上31:7 When the Israelites along the valley and those across the Jordan saw that the Israelite army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines came and occupied them.
和 撒上31:8 次日，非利士人来剥那被杀之人的衣服，看见扫罗和他三个儿子仆倒在基利波山，
K 撒上31:8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in mount Gilboa.

和 撒上31:9 就割下他的首级，剥了他的军装，打发人到非利士地的四境（“到”或作“送到”），报信与他们庙里的偶像和众民；
K 撒上31:9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people.

和 撒上31:10 又将扫罗的军装放在亚斯她录庙里，将他的尸身钉在伯珊的城墙上。

和 撒上31:12 他们中间所有的勇士就起身，走了一夜，将扫罗和他儿子的尸身从伯珊城墙上取下来，送到雅比那里用火烧了；
K 撒上31:12 All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.
