和 撒下8:1 此后，大卫攻打非利士人，把他们治服，从他们手下夺取了京城的权柄（原文作“母城的嚼环”）。
K 撒下8:1 And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
N 撒下8:1 In the course of time, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Metheg Ammah from the control of the Philistines.
和 撒下8:2 又攻打摩押人，使他们躺卧在地上，用绳量一量，量二绳的杀了，量一绳的存留。摩押人就归服大卫，给他进贡。
K 撒下8:2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
N 撒下8:2 David also defeated the Moabites. He made them lie down on the ground and measured them off with a length of cord. Every two lengths of them were put to death, and the third length was allowed to live. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought tribute.

K 撒下8:3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
N 撒下8:3 Moreover, David fought Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to restore his control along the Euphrates River.
和 撒下8:4 擒拿了他的马兵一千七百，步兵二万；将拉战车的马砍断蹄筋，但留下一百辆车的马。
K 撒下8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.

K 撒下8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

和 撒下8:6 于是，大卫在大马色的亚兰地设立防营，亚兰人就归服他，给他进贡。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
K 撒下8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
N 撒下8:6 He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went.
和 撒下8:7 他夺了哈大底谢臣仆所拿的金盾牌，带到耶路撒冷。
K 撒下8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
N 撒下8:7 David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
和 撒下8:8 大卫王又从属哈大底谢的比他和比罗他城中夺取了许多的铜。
K 撒下8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

和 撒下8:10 就打发他儿子约兰去见大卫王，问他的安，为他祝福，因为他杀败了哈大底谢。（原来陀以与哈大底谢常常争战。）约兰带了金银铜的器皿来，
K 撒下8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
N 撒下8:10 he sent his son Joram to King David to greet him and congratulate him on his victory in battle over Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Joram brought with him articles of silver and gold and bronze.
和 撒下8:11 大卫王将这些器皿，和他治服各国所得来的金银都分别为圣，献给耶和华。
K 撒下8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
N 撒下8:11 King David dedicated these articles to the LORD, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:
和 撒下8:12 就是从亚兰，摩押，亚扪，非利士，亚玛力人所得来的，以及从琐巴王利合的儿子哈大底谢所掠之物。
K 撒下8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
N 撒下8:12 Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek. He also dedicated the plunder taken from Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
和 撒下8:13 大卫在盐谷击杀了亚兰（或作“以东”，见诗篇60篇诗题）一万八千人回来，就得了大名。
K 撒下8:13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
N 撒下8:13 And David became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
和 撒下8:14 又在以东全地设立防营，以东人就都归服大卫。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
K 撒下8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

和 撒下8:15 大卫作以色列众人的王，又向众民秉公行义。
K 撒下8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

K 撒下8:18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
