和 撒下10:1 此后，亚扪人的王死了，他儿子哈嫩接续他作王。
K 撒下10:1 And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.
N 撒下10:1 In the course of time, the king of the Ammonites died, and his son Hanun succeeded him as king.
和 撒下10:2 大卫说：“我要照哈嫩的父亲拿辖厚待我的恩典厚待哈嫩。”于是大卫差遣臣仆，为他丧父安慰他。大卫的臣仆到了亚扪人的境内，
K 撒下10:2 Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
N 撒下10:2 David thought, "I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, just as his father showed kindness to me." So David sent a delegation to express his sympathy to Hanun concerning his father. When David's men came to the land of the Ammonites,
和 撒下10:3 但亚扪人的首领对他们的主哈嫩说：“大卫差人来安慰你，你想他是尊敬你父亲吗？他差臣仆来不是详察窥探，要倾覆这城吗？”
K 撒下10:3 And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?
N 撒下10:3 the Ammonite nobles said to Hanun their lord, "Do you think David is honoring your father by sending men to you to express sympathy? Hasn't David sent them to you to explore the city and spy it out and overthrow it?"
和 撒下10:4 哈嫩便将大卫臣仆的胡须剃去一半，又割断他们下半截的衣服，使他们露出下体，打发他们回去。
K 撒下10:4 Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.
N 撒下10:4 So Hanun seized David's men, shaved off half of each man's beard, cut off their garments in the middle at the buttocks, and sent them away.
和 撒下10:5 有人告诉大卫，他就差人去迎接他们；（因为他们甚觉羞耻，）告诉他们说：“可以住在耶利哥，等到胡须长起再回来。”
K 撒下10:5 When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
N 撒下10:5 When David was told about this, he sent messengers to meet the men, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, "Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back."
和 撒下10:6 亚扪人知道大卫憎恶他们，就打发人去，招募伯利合的亚兰人和琐巴的亚兰人，步兵二万，与玛迦王的人一千，陀伯人一万二千。
K 撒下10:6 And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.
N 撒下10:6 When the Ammonites realized that they had become a stench in David's nostrils, they hired twenty thousand Aramean foot soldiers from Beth Rehob and Zobah, as well as the king of Maacah with a thousand men, and also twelve thousand men from Tob.
和 撒下10:7 大卫听见了，就差派约押统带勇猛的全军出去。
K 撒下10:7 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
N 撒下10:7 On hearing this, David sent Joab out with the entire army of fighting men.
和 撒下10:8 亚扪人出来在城门前摆阵；琐巴与利合的亚兰人，陀伯人并玛迦人，另在郊野摆阵。
K 撒下10:8 And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.
N 撒下10:8 The Ammonites came out and drew up in battle formation at the entrance to their city gate, while the Arameans of Zobah and Rehob and the men of Tob and Maacah were by themselves in the open country.
和 撒下10:9 约押看见敌人在他前后摆阵，就从以色列军中挑选精兵，使他们对着亚兰人摆阵。
K 撒下10:9 When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:
N 撒下10:9 Joab saw that there were battle lines in front of him and behind him; so he selected some of the best troops in Israel and deployed them against the Arameans.
和 撒下10:10 其余的兵交与他兄弟亚比筛，对着亚扪人摆阵。
K 撒下10:10 And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.
N 撒下10:10 He put the rest of the men under the command of Abishai his brother and deployed them against the Ammonites.
和 撒下10:11 约押对亚比筛说：“亚兰人若强过我，你就来帮助我；亚扪人若强过你，我就去帮助你。
K 撒下10:11 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.
N 撒下10:11 Joab said, "If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to come to my rescue; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to rescue you.
和 撒下10:12 我们都当刚强，为本国的民和 神的城邑作大丈夫。愿耶和华凭他的意旨而行。”
K 撒下10:12 Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
N 撒下10:12 Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The LORD will do what is good in his sight."
和 撒下10:13 于是，约押和跟随他的人前进攻打亚兰人，亚兰人在约押面前逃跑。
K 撒下10:13 And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.
N 撒下10:13 Then Joab and the troops with him advanced to fight the Arameans, and they fled before him.
和 撒下10:14 亚扪人见亚兰人逃跑，他们也在亚比筛面前逃跑进城。约押就离开亚扪人那里，回耶路撒冷去了。
K 撒下10:14 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
N 撒下10:14 When the Ammonites saw that the Arameans were fleeing, they fled before Abishai and went inside the city. So Joab returned from fighting the Ammonites and came to Jerusalem.
和 撒下10:15 亚兰人见自己被以色列人打败，就又聚集。
K 撒下10:15 And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.
N 撒下10:15 After the Arameans saw that they had been routed by Israel, they regrouped.
和 撒下10:16 哈大底谢差遣人，将大河那边的亚兰人调来。他们到了希兰，哈大底谢的将军朔法率领他们。
K 撒下10:16 And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
N 撒下10:16 Hadadezer had Arameans brought from beyond the River; they went to Helam, with Shobach the commander of Hadadezer's army leading them.
和 撒下10:17 有人告诉大卫，他就聚集以色列众人，过约旦河，来到希兰。亚兰人迎着大卫摆阵，与他打仗。
K 撒下10:17 And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
N 撒下10:17 When David was told of this, he gathered all Israel, crossed the Jordan and went to Helam. The Arameans formed their battle lines to meet David and fought against him.
和 撒下10:18 亚兰人在以色列人面前逃跑。大卫杀了亚兰七百辆战车的人，四万马兵，又杀了亚兰的将军朔法。
K 撒下10:18 And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
N 撒下10:18 But they fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred of their charioteers and forty thousand of their foot soldiers. He also struck down Shobach the commander of their army, and he died there.
和 撒下10:19 属哈大底谢的诸王，见自己被以色列人打败，就与以色列人和好，归服他们。于是，亚兰人不敢再帮助亚扪人了。
K 撒下10:19 And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
N 撒下10:19 When all the kings who were vassals of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with the Israelites and became subject to them. So the Arameans were afraid to help the Ammonites anymore.
