 箴6:1 我儿,你若为朋友作保,替外人击掌,

K 箴6:1 My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

N 箴6:1 My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have struck hands in pledge for another,

 箴6:2 你就被口中的话语缠住,被嘴里的言语捉住。

K 箴6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

N 箴6:2 if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth,

 箴6:3 我儿,你既落在朋友手中,就当这样行,才可救自己:你要自卑,去恳求你的朋友。

K 箴6:3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

N 箴6:3 then do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor's hands: Go and humble yourself; press your plea with your neighbor!

 箴6:4 不要容你的眼睛睡觉,不要容你的眼皮打盹。

K 箴6:4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

N 箴6:4 Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids.

 箴6:5 要救自己,如鹿脱离猎户的手,如鸟脱离捕鸟人的手。

K 箴6:5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

N 箴6:5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.

 箴6:6 懒惰人哪,你去察看蚂蚁的动作,就可得智慧!

K 箴6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

N 箴6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

 箴6:7 蚂蚁没有元帅,没有官长,没有君王,

K 箴6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

N 箴6:7 It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,

 箴6:8 尚且在夏天预备食物,在收割时聚敛粮食。

K 箴6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

N 箴6:8 yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.

 箴6:9 懒惰人哪,你要睡到几时呢?你何时睡醒呢?

K 箴6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

N 箴6:9 How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?

 箴6:10 再睡片时,打盹片时,抱着手躺卧片时,

K 箴6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

N 箴6:10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest--

 箴6:11 你的贫穷就必如强盗速来,你的缺乏仿佛拿兵器的人来到。

K 箴6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

N 箴6:11 and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.

 箴6:12 无赖的恶徒,行动就用乖僻的口,

K 箴6:12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

N 箴6:12 A scoundrel and villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth,

 箴6:13 用眼传 神,用脚示意,用指点划,

K 箴6:13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;

N 箴6:13 who winks with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers,

 箴6:14 心中乖僻,常设恶谋,布散纷争。

K 箴6:14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

N 箴6:14 who plots evil with deceit in his heart--he always stirs up dissension.

 箴6:15 所以灾难必忽然临到他身;他必顷刻败坏,无法可治。

K 箴6:15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

N 箴6:15 Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed--without remedy.

 箴6:16 耶和华所恨恶的有六样,连他心所憎恶的共有七样:

K 箴6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

N 箴6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:

 箴6:17 就是高傲的眼,撒谎的舌,流无辜人血的手,

K 箴6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

N 箴6:17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,

 箴6:18 图谋恶计的心,飞跑行恶的脚,

K 箴6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

N 箴6:18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,

 箴6:19 吐谎言的假见证,并弟兄中布散纷争的人。

K 箴6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

N 箴6:19 a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

 箴6:20 我儿,要谨守你父亲的诫命,不可离弃你母亲的法则(或作“指教”),

K 箴6:20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

N 箴6:20 My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching.

 箴6:21 要常系在你心上,挂在你项上。

K 箴6:21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

N 箴6:21 Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck.

 箴6:22 你行走,他必引导你;你躺卧,他必保守你;你睡醒,他必与你谈论。

K 箴6:22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

N 箴6:22 When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.

 箴6:23 因为诫命是灯,法则(或作“指教”)是光,训诲的责备是生命的道,

K 箴6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

N 箴6:23 For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life,

 箴6:24 能保你远离恶妇,远离外女谄媚的舌头。

K 箴6:24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

N 箴6:24 keeping you from the immoral woman, from the smooth tongue of the wayward wife.

 箴6:25 你心中不要恋慕她的美色,也不要被她眼皮勾引。

K 箴6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

N 箴6:25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes,

 箴6:26 因为妓女能使人只剩一块饼,淫妇猎取人宝贵的生命。

K 箴6:26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

N 箴6:26 for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life.

 箴6:27 人若怀里搋火,衣服岂能不烧呢?

K 箴6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

N 箴6:27 Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?

 箴6:28 人若在火炭上走,脚岂能不烫呢?

K 箴6:28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?

N 箴6:28 Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?

 箴6:29 亲近邻舍之妻的,也是如此。凡挨近她的,不免受罚。

K 箴6:29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

N 箴6:29 So is he who sleeps with another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.

 箴6:30 贼因饥饿偷窃充饥,人不藐视他,

K 箴6:30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

N 箴6:30 Men do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.

 箴6:31 若被找着,他必赔还七倍,必将家中所有的尽都偿还。

K 箴6:31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

N 箴6:31 Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.

 箴6:32 与妇人行淫的,便是无知,行这事的,必丧掉生命。

K 箴6:32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

N 箴6:32 But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself.

 箴6:33 他必受伤损,必被凌辱,他的羞耻不得涂抹。

K 箴6:33 A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

N 箴6:33 Blows and disgrace are his lot, and his shame will never be wiped away;

 箴6:34 因为人的嫉恨成了烈怒,报仇的时候决不留情。

K 箴6:34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

N 箴6:34 for jealousy arouses a husband's fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.

 箴6:35 什么赎价,他都不顾;你虽送许多礼物,他也不肯干休。

K 箴6:35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

N 箴6:35 He will not accept any compensation; he will refuse the bribe, however great it is.
