和 箴23:1 你若与官长坐席，要留意在你面前的是谁。
K 箴23:1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
N 箴23:1 When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before you,
和 箴23:2 你若是贪食的，就当拿刀放在喉咙上。
K 箴23:2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
N 箴23:2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.
和 箴23:3 不可贪恋他的美食，因为是哄人的食物。
K 箴23:3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
N 箴23:3 Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.
和 箴23:4 不要劳碌求富，休仗自己的聪明。
K 箴23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
N 箴23:4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint.
和 箴23:5 你岂要定睛在虚无的钱财上吗？因钱财必长翅膀，如鹰向天飞去。
K 箴23:5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
N 箴23:5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
和 箴23:6 不要吃恶眼人的饭，也不要贪他的美味。
K 箴23:6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
N 箴23:6 Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his delicacies;
和 箴23:7 因为他心怎样思量，他为人就是怎样。他虽对你说：“请吃，请喝”，他的心却与你相背。
K 箴23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
N 箴23:7 for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. "Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
和 箴23:8 你所吃的那点食物必吐出来；你所说的甘美言语也必落空。
K 箴23:8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
N 箴23:8 You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments.
和 箴23:9 你不要说话给愚昧人听，因他必藐视你智慧的言语。
K 箴23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
N 箴23:9 Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words.
和 箴23:10 不可挪移古时的地界，也不可侵入孤儿的田地。
K 箴23:10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
N 箴23:10 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless,
和 箴23:11 因他们的救赎主大有能力，他必向你为他们辨屈。
K 箴23:11 For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.
N 箴23:11 for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.
和 箴23:12 你要留心领受训诲，侧耳听从知识的言语。
K 箴23:12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
N 箴23:12 Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.
和 箴23:13 不可不管教孩童，你用杖打他，他必不至于死。
K 箴23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
N 箴23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die.
和 箴23:14 你要用杖打他，就可以救他的灵魂免下阴间。
K 箴23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
N 箴23:14 Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
和 箴23:15 我儿，你心若存智慧，我的心也甚欢喜；
K 箴23:15 My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
N 箴23:15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad;
和 箴23:16 你的嘴若说正直话，我的心肠也必快乐。
K 箴23:16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
N 箴23:16 my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.
和 箴23:17 你心中不要嫉妒罪人，只要终日敬畏耶和华。
K 箴23:17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
N 箴23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.
和 箴23:18 因为至终必有善报，你的指望也不至断绝。
K 箴23:18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
N 箴23:18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
和 箴23:19 我儿，你当听，当存智慧，好在正道上引导你的心。
K 箴23:19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
N 箴23:19 Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.
和 箴23:20 好饮酒的，好吃肉的，不要与他们来往。
K 箴23:20 Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:
N 箴23:20 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,
和 箴23:21 因为好酒贪食的，必致贫穷；好睡觉的，必穿破烂衣服。
K 箴23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
N 箴23:21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
和 箴23:22 你要听从生你的父亲；你母亲老了，也不可藐视她。
K 箴23:22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
N 箴23:22 Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
和 箴23:23 你当买真理；就是智慧、训诲和聪明也都不可卖。
K 箴23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
N 箴23:23 Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding.
和 箴23:24 义人的父亲，必大得快乐；人生智慧的儿子，必因他欢喜。
K 箴23:24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
N 箴23:24 The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.
和 箴23:25 你要使父母欢喜，使生你的快乐。
K 箴23:25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
N 箴23:25 May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!
和 箴23:26 我儿，要将你的心归我，你的眼目也要喜悦我的道路。
K 箴23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
N 箴23:26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways,
和 箴23:27 妓女是深坑，外女是窄阱。
K 箴23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.
N 箴23:27 for a prostitute is a deep pit and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
和 箴23:28 她埋伏好像强盗，她使人中多有奸诈的。
K 箴23:28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.
N 箴23:28 Like a bandit she lies in wait, and multiplies the unfaithful among men.
和 箴23:29 谁有祸患？谁有忧愁？谁有争斗？谁有哀叹（或作“怨言”）？谁无故受伤？谁眼目红赤？
K 箴23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
N 箴23:29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
和 箴23:30 就是那流连饮酒，常去寻找调和酒的人。
K 箴23:30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
N 箴23:30 Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
和 箴23:31 酒发红，在杯中闪烁，你不可观看，
K 箴23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
N 箴23:31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!
和 箴23:32 虽然下咽舒畅，终久是咬你如蛇，刺你如毒蛇。
K 箴23:32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
N 箴23:32 In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
和 箴23:33 你眼必看见异怪的事（“异怪的事”或作“淫妇”），你心必发出乖谬的话。
K 箴23:33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
N 箴23:33 Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things.
和 箴23:34 你必像躺在海中，或像卧在桅杆上。
K 箴23:34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
N 箴23:34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.
和 箴23:35 你必说：“人打我，我却未受伤；人鞭打我，我竟不觉得。我几时清醒，我仍去寻酒。”
K 箴23:35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
N 箴23:35 "They hit me," you will say, "but I'm not hurt! They beat me, but I don't feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"
