2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

N 罗2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

N 罗2:2 Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.

2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

N 罗2:3 So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?

2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

N 罗2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

K 罗2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

N 罗2:5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

N 罗2:6 God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

 罗2:7 凡恒心行善,寻求荣耀、尊贵和不能朽坏之福的,就以永生报应他们;

K 罗2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

N 罗2:7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

N 罗2:8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

 罗2:9 将患难、困苦加给一切作恶的人,先是犹太人,后是希利尼人;

K 罗2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

N 罗2:9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

N 罗2:10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

N 罗2:11 For God does not show favoritism.

K 罗2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

N 罗2:12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

N 罗2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

N 罗2:14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law,

2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

N 罗2:15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)

2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

N 罗2:16 This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

 罗2:17 你称为犹太人,又倚靠律法,且指着 神夸口;

K 罗2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

N 罗2:17 Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and brag about your relationship to God;

 罗2:18 既从律法中受了教训,就晓得 神的旨意,也能分别是非(或作“也喜爱那美好的事”);

K 罗2:18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

N 罗2:18 if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law;

2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

N 罗2:19 if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark,

2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

N 罗2:20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth--

2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

N 罗2:21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

N 罗2:22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

N 罗2:23 You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

N 罗2:24 As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

N 罗2:25 Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.

2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

N 罗2:26 If those who are not circumcised keep the law's requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised?

2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

N 罗2:27 The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.

2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

N 罗2:28 A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.

2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

N 罗2:29 No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.
