和 耶42:1 众军长和加利亚的儿子约哈难，并何沙雅的儿子耶撒尼亚（又名“亚撒利雅”。见四十三章二节）以及众百姓，从最小的到至大的都进前来，
K 耶42:1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,
N 耶42:1 Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest approached
和 耶42:2 对先知耶利米说：“求你准我们在你面前祈求，为我们这剩下的人祷告耶和华你的 神。我们本来众多，现在剩下的极少，这是你亲眼所见的。
K 耶42:2 And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
N 耶42:2 Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, "Please hear our petition and pray to the LORD your God for this entire remnant. For as you now see, though we were once many, now only a few are left.
和 耶42:3 愿耶和华你的 神指示我们所当走的路，所当做的事。”
K 耶42:3 That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.
N 耶42:3 Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."
和 耶42:4 先知耶利米对他们说：“我已经听见你们了，我必照着你们的话祷告耶和华你们的 神。耶和华无论回答什么，我必都告诉你们，毫不隐瞒。”
K 耶42:4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
N 耶42:4 "I have heard you," replied Jeremiah the prophet. "I will certainly pray to the LORD your God as you have requested; I will tell you everything the LORD says and will keep nothing back from you."
和 耶42:5 于是他们对耶利米说：“我们若不照耶和华你的 神差遣你来说的一切话行，愿耶和华在我们中间作真实诚信的见证。
K 耶42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
N 耶42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, "May the LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the LORD your God sends you to tell us.
和 耶42:6 我们现在请你到耶和华我们的 神面前，他说的无论是好是歹，我们都必听从！我们听从耶和华我们 神的话，就可以得福。”
K 耶42:6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
N 耶42:6 Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the LORD our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the LORD our God."
和 耶42:7 过了十天，耶和华的话临到耶利米。
K 耶42:7 And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.
N 耶42:7 Ten days later the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah.
和 耶42:8 他就将加利亚的儿子约哈难和同着他的众军长并众百姓，从最小的到至大的都叫了来，
K 耶42:8 Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,
N 耶42:8 So he called together Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers who were with him and all the people from the least to the greatest.
和 耶42:9 对他们说：“耶和华以色列的 神，就是你们请我在他面前为你们祈求的主，如此说：
K 耶42:9 And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;
N 耶42:9 He said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your petition, says:
和 耶42:10 ‘你们若仍住在这地，我就建立你们，必不拆毁；栽植你们，并不拔出，因我为降与你们的灾祸后悔了。
K 耶42:10 If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
N 耶42:10 'If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I am grieved over the disaster I have inflicted on you.
和 耶42:11 不要怕你们所怕的巴比伦王。耶和华说，不要怕他，因为我与你们同在，要拯救你们脱离他的手。
K 耶42:11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
N 耶42:11 Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the LORD, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands.
和 耶42:12 我也要使他发怜悯，好怜悯你们，叫你们归回本地。’
K 耶42:12 And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
N 耶42:12 I will show you compassion so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.'
和 耶42:13 倘若你们说：‘我们不住在这地’，以致不听从耶和华你们 神的话，
K 耶42:13 But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,
N 耶42:13 "However, if you say, 'We will not stay in this land,' and so disobey the LORD your God,
和 耶42:14 说：‘我们不住这地，却要进入埃及地，在那里看不见争战，听不见角声，也不至无食饥饿。我们必住在那里。’
K 耶42:14 Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
N 耶42:14 and if you say, 'No, we will go and live in Egypt, where we will not see war or hear the trumpet or be hungry for bread,'
和 耶42:15 你们所剩下的犹大人哪，现在要听耶和华的话！万军之耶和华以色列的 神如此说：‘你们若定意要进入埃及，在那里寄居，
K 耶42:15 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
N 耶42:15 then hear the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there,
和 耶42:16 你们所惧怕的刀剑，在埃及地必追上你们！你们所惧怕的饥荒在埃及要紧紧地跟随你们！你们必死在那里！
K 耶42:16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
N 耶42:16 then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die.
和 耶42:17 凡定意要进入埃及在那里寄居的，必遭刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死，无一人存留，逃脱我所降与他们的灾祸。’
K 耶42:17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
N 耶42:17 Indeed, all who are determined to go to Egypt to settle there will die by the sword, famine and plague; not one of them will survive or escape the disaster I will bring on them.'
和 耶42:18 万军之耶和华以色列的 神如此说：‘我怎样将我的怒气和忿怒倾在耶路撒冷的居民身上，你们进入埃及的时候，我也必照样将我的忿怒倾在你们身上，以致你们令人辱骂、惊骇、咒诅、羞辱，你们不得再见这地方。’
K 耶42:18 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
N 耶42:18 This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'As my anger and wrath have been poured out on those who lived in Jerusalem, so will my wrath be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You will be an object of cursing and horror, of condemnation and reproach; you will never see this place again.'
和 耶42:19 所剩下的犹大人哪，耶和华论到你们说：‘不要进入埃及去！’你们要确实地知道我今日警教你们了。
K 耶42:19 The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.
N 耶42:19 "O remnant of Judah, the LORD has told you, 'Do not go to Egypt.' Be sure of this: I warn you today
和 耶42:20 你们行诡诈自害，因为你们请我到耶和华你们的 神那里说：‘求你为我们祷告耶和华我们 神，照耶和华我们的 神一切所说的告诉我们，我们就必遵行。’
K 耶42:20 For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
N 耶42:20 that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the LORD your God and said, 'Pray to the LORD our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.'
和 耶42:21 我今日将这话告诉你们，耶和华你们的 神为你们的事，差遣我到你们那里说的，你们却一样没有听从。
K 耶42:21 And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.
N 耶42:21 I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the LORD your God in all he sent me to tell you.
和 耶42:22 现在你们要确实地知道，你们在所要去寄居之地必遭刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死。”
K 耶42:22 Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.
N 耶42:22 So now, be sure of this: You will die by the sword, famine and plague in the place where you want to go to settle."
