和 约4:1 主知道法利赛人听见他收门徒施洗比约翰还多
K 约4:1 When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
N 约4:1 The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John,
和 约4:2 (其实不是耶稣亲自施洗,乃是他的门徒施洗。)
K 约4:2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
N 约4:2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.
和 约4:3 他就离了犹太,又往加利利去。
K 约4:3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
N 约4:3 When the Lord learned of this, he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
和 约4:4 必须经过撒马利亚,
K 约4:4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
N 约4:4 Now he had to go through Samaria.
和 约4:5 于是到了撒马利亚的一座城,名叫叙加,靠近雅各给他儿子约瑟的那块地。
K 约4:5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
N 约4:5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
和 约4:6 在那里有雅各井。耶稣因走路困乏,就坐在井旁。那时约有午正。
K 约4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
N 约4:6 Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
和 约4:7 有一个撒马利亚的妇人来打水,耶稣对她说:“请你给我水喝。”
K 约4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
N 约4:7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?"
和 约4:8 那时门徒进城买食物去了。
K 约4:8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
N 约4:8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
和 约4:9 撒马利亚的妇人对他说:“你既是犹太人,怎么向我一个撒马利亚妇人要水喝呢?”原来犹太人和撒马利亚人没有来往。
K 约4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
N 约4:9 The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
和 约4:10 耶稣回答说:“你若知道 神的恩赐和对你说‘给我水喝’的是谁,你必早求他,他也必早给了你活水。”
K 约4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
N 约4:10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
和 约4:11 妇人说:“先生,没有打水的器具,井又深,你从哪里得活水呢?
K 约4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
N 约4:11 "Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
和 约4:12 我们的祖宗雅各将这井留给我们,他自己和儿子并牲畜也都喝这井里的水,难道你比他还大吗?”
K 约4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
N 约4:12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"
和 约4:13 耶稣回答说:“凡喝这水的,还要再渴;
K 约4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
N 约4:13 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
和 约4:14 人若喝我所赐的水,就永远不渴。我所赐的水要在他里头成为泉源,直涌到永生。”
K 约4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
N 约4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
和 约4:15 妇人说:“先生,请把这水赐给我,叫我不渴,也不用来这么远打水。”
K 约4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
N 约4:15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."
和 约4:16 耶稣说:“你去叫你丈夫也到这里来。”
K 约4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
N 约4:16 He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."
和 约4:17 妇人说:“我没有丈夫。”耶稣说:“你说没有丈夫,是不错的。
K 约4:17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
N 约4:17 "I have no husband," she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband.
和 约4:18 你已经有五个丈夫,你现在有的,并不是你的丈夫,你这话是真的。”
K 约4:18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
N 约4:18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."
和 约4:19 妇人说:“先生,我看出你是先知。
K 约4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
N 约4:19 "Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet.
和 约4:20 我们的祖宗在这山上礼拜,你们倒说,应当礼拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。”
K 约4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
N 约4:20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."
和 约4:21 耶稣说:“妇人,你当信我。时候将到,你们拜父也不在这山上,也不在耶路撒冷。
K 约4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
N 约4:21 Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
和 约4:22 你们所拜的,你们不知道;我们所拜的,我们知道,因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。
K 约4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
N 约4:22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
和 约4:23 时候将到,如今就是了。那真正拜父的,要用心灵和诚实拜他,因为父要这样的人拜他。
K 约4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
N 约4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
和 约4:24 神是个灵(或无“个”字),所以拜他的,必须用心灵和诚实拜他。”
K 约4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
N 约4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
和 约4:25 妇人说:“我知道弥赛亚(就是那称为基督的)要来,他来了,必将一切的事都告诉我们。”
K 约4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
N 约4:25 The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."
和 约4:26 耶稣说:“这和你说话的就是他。”
K 约4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
N 约4:26 Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."
和 约4:27 当下门徒回来,就希奇耶稣和一个妇人说话。只是没有人说:“你是要什么?”或说:“你为什么和她说话?”
K 约4:27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
N 约4:27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"
和 约4:28 那妇人就留下水罐子,往城里去,对众人说:
K 约4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
N 约4:28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,
和 约4:29 “你们来看!有一个人将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了,莫非这就是基督吗?”
K 约4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
N 约4:29 "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?"
和 约4:30 众人就出城往耶稣那里去。
K 约4:30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
N 约4:30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
和 约4:31 这其间,门徒对耶稣说:“拉比,请吃。”
K 约4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
N 约4:31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something."
和 约4:32 耶稣说:“我有食物吃,是你们不知道的。”
K 约4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
N 约4:32 But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about."
和 约4:33 门徒就彼此对问说:“莫非有人拿什么给他吃吗?”
K 约4:33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
N 约4:33 Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?"
和 约4:34 耶稣说:“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意,做成他的工。
K 约4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
N 约4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
和 约4:35 你们岂不说‘到收割的时候还有四个月’吗?我告诉你们:举目向田观看,庄稼已经熟了(原文作“发白”),可以收割了。
K 约4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
N 约4:35 Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
和 约4:36 收割的人得工价,积蓄五谷到永生,叫撒种的和收割的一同快乐。
K 约4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
N 约4:36 Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
和 约4:37 俗语说‘那人撒种,这人收割’,这话可见是真的。
K 约4:37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
N 约4:37 Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is true.
和 约4:38 我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的,别人劳苦,你们享受他们所劳苦的。”
K 约4:38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
N 约4:38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor."
和 约4:39 那城里有好些撒马利亚人信了耶稣,因为那妇人作见证说:“他将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了。”
K 约4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
N 约4:39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did."
和 约4:40 于是撒马利亚人来见耶稣,求他在他们那里住下,他便在那里住了两天。
K 约4:40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
N 约4:40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.
和 约4:41 因耶稣的话,信的人就更多了。
K 约4:41 And many more believed because of his own word;
N 约4:41 And because of his words many more became believers.
和 约4:42 便对妇人说:“现在我们信,不是因为你的话,是我们亲自听见了,知道这真是救世主。”
K 约4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
N 约4:42 They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world."
和 约4:43 过了那两天,耶稣离了那地方,往加利利去。
K 约4:43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.
N 约4:43 After the two days he left for Galilee.
和 约4:44 因为耶稣自己作过见证说:“先知在本地是没有人尊敬的。”
K 约4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
N 约4:44 (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.)
和 约4:45 到了加利利,加利利人既然看见他在耶路撒冷过节所行的一切事,就接待他,因为他们也是上去过节。
K 约4:45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
N 约4:45 When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, for they also had been there.
和 约4:46 耶稣又到了加利利的迦拿,就是他从前变水为酒的地方。有一个大臣,他的儿子在迦百农患病。
K 约4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
N 约4:46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.
和 约4:47 他听见耶稣从犹太到了加利利,就来见他,求他下去医治他的儿子,因为他儿子快要死了。
K 约4:47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
N 约4:47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
和 约4:48 耶稣就对他说:“若不看见神迹奇事,你们总是不信。”
K 约4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
N 约4:48 "Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders," Jesus told him, "you will never believe."
和 约4:49 那大臣说:“先生,求你趁着我的孩子还没有死就下去。”
K 约4:49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
N 约4:49 The royal official said, "Sir, come down before my child dies."
和 约4:50 耶稣对他说:“回去吧!你的儿子活了。”那人信耶稣所说的话,就回去了。
K 约4:50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
N 约4:50 Jesus replied, "You may go. Your son will live." The man took Jesus at his word and departed.
和 约4:51 正下去的时候,他的仆人迎见他,说他的儿子活了。
K 约4:51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
N 约4:51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.
和 约4:52 他就问什么时候见好的。他们说:“昨日未时热就退了。”
K 约4:52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
N 约4:52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, "The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour."
和 约4:53 他便知道这正是耶稣对他说“你儿子活了”的时候;他自己和全家就都信了。
K 约4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
N 约4:53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." So he and all his household believed.
和 约4:54 这是耶稣在加利利行的第二件神迹,是他从犹太回去以后行的。
K 约4:54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
N 约4:54 This was the second miraculous sign that Jesus performed, having come from Judea to Galilee.
