帖前1:1 保罗、西拉和提摩太，写信给帖撒罗尼迦、在父 神和主耶稣基督里的教会。愿恩惠平安临到你们。
帖前1:1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.
帖前1:2 我们常常为你们众人感谢 神，祷告的时候提到你们，
帖前1:2 We give praise to God at all times for you, keeping you in memory in our prayers;
帖前1:3 在我们的父 神面前，不住地记念你们信心的工作，爱心的劳苦和因盼望我们主耶稣基督而有的坚忍。
帖前1:3 Having ever in mind your work of faith and acts of love and the strength of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;
帖前1:4 神所爱的弟兄们，我们知道你们是蒙拣选的，
帖前1:4 Being conscious, my brothers, dear to God, that you have been marked out by God's purpose;
帖前1:5 因为我们的福音传到你们那里，不单是借着言语，也是借着权能，借着圣灵和充足的信心。为了你们的缘故，我们在你们中间为人怎样，这是你们知道的。
帖前1:5 Because our good news came to you, not in word only, but in power, and in the Holy Spirit, so that you were completely certain of it; even as you saw what our behaviour to you was like from our love to you.
帖前1:6 你们效法了我们，也效法了主，在大患难中，带着圣灵的喜乐接受了真道。
帖前1:6 And you took us and the Lord as your example, after the word had come to you in much trouble, with joy in the Holy Spirit;
帖前1:7 这样，你们就成了马其顿和亚该亚所有信徒的榜样。
帖前1:7 So that you became an example to all those who have faith in Christ in Macedonia and Achaia.
帖前1:8 因为不单主的道从你们那里传遍了马其顿和亚该亚，就是你们对 神的信心也传遍了各处，所以我们不用再说什么了。
帖前1:8 For not only was the word of the Lord sounding out from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith in God is made clear; so that we have no need to say anything.
帖前1:9 他们都述说你们是怎样接待我们，而且怎样离弃偶像归向 神，要服事这位又真又活的 神，
帖前1:9 For they themselves give the news of how we came among you; and how you were turned from images to God, to the worship of a true and living God,
帖前1:10 并且等候他的儿子从天降临。这就是 神使他从死人中复活，救我们脱离将来的忿怒的那位耶稣。
帖前1:10 Waiting for his Son from heaven, who came back from the dead, even Jesus, our Saviour from the wrath to come.
