和 伯15:1 提幔人以利法回答说:
K 伯15:1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,

和 伯15:2 “智慧人岂可用虚空的知识回答,用东风充满肚腹呢?
K 伯15:2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
N 伯15:2 "Would a wise man answer with empty notions or fill his belly with the hot east wind?
和 伯15:3 他岂可用无益的话和无济于事的言语理论呢?
K 伯15:3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
N 伯15:3 Would he argue with useless words, with speeches that have no value?
和 伯15:4 你是废弃敬畏的意,在 神面前阻止敬虔的心。
K 伯15:4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.
N 伯15:4 But you even undermine piety and hinder devotion to God.
和 伯15:5 你的罪孽指教你的口,你选用诡诈人的舌头。
K 伯15:5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
N 伯15:5 Your sin prompts your mouth; you adopt the tongue of the crafty.
和 伯15:6 你自己的口定你有罪,并非是我;你自己的嘴见证你的不是。
K 伯15:6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
N 伯15:6 Your own mouth condemns you, not mine; your own lips testify against you.
和 伯15:7 你岂是头一个被生的人吗?你受造在诸山之先吗?
K 伯15:7 Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
N 伯15:7 "Are you the first man ever born? Were you brought forth before the hills?
和 伯15:8 你曾听见 神的密旨吗?你还将智慧独自得尽吗?
K 伯15:8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
N 伯15:8 Do you listen in on God's council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?
和 伯15:9 你知道什么,是我们不知道的呢?你明白什么,是我们不明白的呢?
K 伯15:9 What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?
N 伯15:9 What do you know that we do not know? What insights do you have that we do not have?
和 伯15:10 我们这里有白发的和年纪老迈的,比你父亲还老。
K 伯15:10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
N 伯15:10 The gray-haired and the aged are on our side, men even older than your father.
和 伯15:11 神用温和的话安慰你,你以为太小吗?
K 伯15:11 Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?
N 伯15:11 Are God's consolations not enough for you, words spoken gently to you?
和 伯15:12 你的心为何将你逼去?你的眼为何冒出火星?
K 伯15:12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
N 伯15:12 Why has your heart carried you away, and why do your eyes flash,
和 伯15:13 使你的灵反对 神,也任你的口发这言语?
K 伯15:13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
N 伯15:13 so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth?
和 伯15:14 人是什么,竟算为洁净呢?妇人所生的是什么,竟算为义呢?
K 伯15:14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
N 伯15:14 "What is man, that he could be pure, or one born of woman, that he could be righteous?
和 伯15:15 神不信靠他的众圣者,在他眼前天也不洁净!
K 伯15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
N 伯15:15 If God places no trust in his holy ones, if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes,
和 伯15:16 何况那污秽可憎、喝罪孽如水的世人呢?
K 伯15:16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
N 伯15:16 how much less man, who is vile and corrupt, who drinks up evil like water!
和 伯15:17 我指示你,你要听!我要述说所看见的,
K 伯15:17 I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;
N 伯15:17 "Listen to me and I will explain to you; let me tell you what I have seen,
和 伯15:18 就是智慧人从列祖所受、传说而不隐瞒的。
K 伯15:18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:
N 伯15:18 what wise men have declared, hiding nothing received from their fathers
和 伯15:19 (这地惟独赐给他们,并没有外人从他们中间经过。)
K 伯15:19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
N 伯15:19 (to whom alone the land was given when no alien passed among them):
和 伯15:20 恶人一生之日劬劳痛苦,强暴人一生的年数也是如此。
K 伯15:20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
N 伯15:20 All his days the wicked man suffers torment, the ruthless through all the years stored up for him.
和 伯15:21 惊吓的声音常在他耳中;在平安时抢夺的必临到他那里。
K 伯15:21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
N 伯15:21 Terrifying sounds fill his ears; when all seems well, marauders attack him.
和 伯15:22 他不信自己能从黑暗中转回;他被刀剑等候。
K 伯15:22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
N 伯15:22 He despairs of escaping the darkness; he is marked for the sword.
和 伯15:23 他漂流在外求食说:‘哪里有食物呢?’他知道黑暗的日子在他手边预备好了。
K 伯15:23 He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
N 伯15:23 He wanders about--food for vultures; he knows the day of darkness is at hand.
和 伯15:24 急难困苦叫他害怕,而且胜了他,好像君王预备上阵一样。
K 伯15:24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
N 伯15:24 Distress and anguish fill him with terror; they overwhelm him, like a king poised to attack,
和 伯15:25 他伸手攻击 神,以骄傲攻击全能者,
K 伯15:25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
N 伯15:25 because he shakes his fist at God and vaunts himself against the Almighty,
和 伯15:26 挺着颈项,用盾牌的厚凸面向全能者直闯。
K 伯15:26 He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
N 伯15:26 defiantly charging against him with a thick, strong shield.
和 伯15:27 是因他的脸蒙上脂油,腰积成肥肉。
K 伯15:27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.
N 伯15:27 "Though his face is covered with fat and his waist bulges with flesh,
和 伯15:28 他曾住在荒凉城邑,无人居住将成乱堆的房屋。
K 伯15:28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
N 伯15:28 he will inhabit ruined towns and houses where no one lives, houses crumbling to rubble.
和 伯15:29 他不得富足,财物不得常存,产业在地上也不加增。
K 伯15:29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
N 伯15:29 He will no longer be rich and his wealth will not endure, nor will his possessions spread over the land.
和 伯15:30 他不得出离黑暗,火焰要将他的枝子烧干,因 神口中的气,他要灭亡(原文作“走去”)。
K 伯15:30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
N 伯15:30 He will not escape the darkness; a flame will wither his shoots, and the breath of God's mouth will carry him away.
和 伯15:31 他不用倚靠虚假欺哄自己,因虚假必成为他的报应。
K 伯15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
N 伯15:31 Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return.
和 伯15:32 他的日期未到之先,这事必成就;他的枝子不得青绿。
K 伯15:32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.
N 伯15:32 Before his time he will be paid in full, and his branches will not flourish.
和 伯15:33 他必像葡萄树的葡萄,未熟而落;又像橄榄树的花,一开而谢。
K 伯15:33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
N 伯15:33 He will be like a vine stripped of its unripe grapes, like an olive tree shedding its blossoms.
和 伯15:34 原来不敬虔之辈必无生育;受贿赂之人的帐棚必被火烧。
K 伯15:34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
N 伯15:34 For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes.
和 伯15:35 他们所怀的是毒害,所生的是罪孽,心里所预备的是诡诈。”
K 伯15:35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
N 伯15:35 They conceive trouble and give birth to evil; their womb fashions deceit."
