摩8:1 主耶和华向我显示，我就看见一篮夏天的果子。
摩8:1 This is what the Lord God let me see: and I saw a basket of summer fruit.
摩8:2 耶和华说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我回答：“一篮夏天的果子。”他跟着对我说：“我民以色列的结局到了，我不再放过他们。
摩8:2 And he said, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then the Lord said to me, The end has come to my people Israel; never again will my eyes be shut to their sin.
摩8:3 “到那日，圣殿的歌声必变为哀号；尸首众多，抛弃各处；你们要肃静。”这是主耶和华的宣告。
摩8:3 And the songs of the king's house will be cries of pain in that day, says the Lord God: great will be the number of the dead bodies, and everywhere they will put them out without a word.
摩8:4 践踏穷乏人又除掉国中困苦人的，你们要听这话。
摩8:4 Give ear to this, you who are crushing the poor, and whose purpose is to put an end to those who are in need in the land,
摩8:5 你们说：“月朔什么时候过去，好让我们可以卖五谷；安息日什么时候结束，好让我们可以开市卖谷物。我们卖东西就把升斗弄小，收银子却用加重了的法码，我们要用假秤欺骗人。
摩8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, so that we may do trade in grain? and the Sabbath, so that we may put out in the market the produce of our fields? making the measure small and the price great, and trading falsely with scales of deceit;
摩8:6 我们用银子买穷人，用一双鞋换取穷乏人；连麦碎也卖掉。”
摩8:6 Getting the poor for silver, and him who is in need for the price of two shoes, and taking a price for the waste parts of the grain.
摩8:7 耶和华指着雅各所夸耀的起誓说：“我必永远记着他们所作的一切；
摩8:7 The Lord has taken an oath by the pride of Jacob, Truly I will ever keep in mind all their works.
摩8:8 “这地不应为此震动，所有住在地上的不应悲哀吗？这地必像尼罗河高涨翻腾，像埃及的大河退落。
摩8:8 Will not the land be shaking with fear because of this, and everyone in it have sorrow? and all of it will be overflowing like the River; and it will be troubled and go down again like the River of Egypt.
摩8:9 “到那日，这是耶和华的宣告：我必使太阳在正午落下，在白昼使地变成昏暗。
摩8:9 And it will come about in that day, says the Lord God, that I will make the sun go down in the middle of the day, and I will make the earth dark in daylight:
摩8:10 “我必使你们欢乐的节期变为悲哀的日子，把你们的歌声都变为哀哭。我必使你们各人腰束麻带，头都剃光了；我必使你们悲哀，好像丧了独生子，自始至终都是痛苦的。
摩8:10 Your feasts will be turned into sorrow and all your melody into songs of grief; everyone will be clothed with haircloth, and the hair of every head will be cut; I will make the weeping like that for an only son, and the end of it like a bitter day.
摩8:11 “看哪！日子快到，这是主耶和华的宣告。我必使饥荒临到这地，这饥荒不是因为没有食物，这干渴不是因为没有水；而是因为听不见耶和华的话。
摩8:11 See, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send times of great need on the land, not need of food or desire for water, but for hearing the words of the Lord.
摩8:12 他们从这海飘流到那海，从北到东，到处奔走，要寻求耶和华的话，却寻不见。
摩8:12 And they will go wandering from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, running here and there in search of the word of the Lord, and they will not get it.
摩8:13 “到那日，美丽的少女和勇士都因干渴昏倒。
摩8:13 In that day the fair virgins and the young men will be feeble from need of water.
摩8:14 那些指着撒玛利亚亚示玛女神（“亚示玛女神”原文作“罪”）起誓，或是那些指着但的神，或别是巴的神（“别是巴的神”原文作“别是巴的道”）起誓的，他们要倒下，再不能起来。”
摩8:14 Those who make their oaths by the sin of Samaria and say, By the life of your God, O Dan; and, By the living way of Beer-sheba; even they will go down, never again to be lifted up.
