王下22:1 约西亚登基的时候只有八岁。他在耶路撒冷作王共三十一年。他母亲名叫耶底大，是亚大雅的女儿，来自波斯加。
王下22:1 Josiah was eight years old when he became king; and he was ruling in Jerusalem for thirty-one years; his mother's name was Jedidah, daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.
王下22:2 他行耶和华看为正的事，跟随他祖宗大卫所行的一切道路，不偏左右。
王下22:2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, walking in the ways of David his father, without turning to the right hand or to the left.
王下22:3 约西亚在位第十八年，王差派米书兰的孙子、亚萨利的儿子、书记沙番到耶和华的殿，吩咐他说：
王下22:3 Now in the eighteenth year after he became king, Josiah sent Shaphan, the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the Lord, saying to him,
王下22:4 “你上去到希勒家大祭司那里，叫他把献给耶和华殿的银子，就是守门的从人民所收集的，结算一下。
王下22:4 Go up to Hilkiah, the chief priest, and let him give out the money which is taken into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the door have got together from the people;
王下22:5 然后要他们把银子交到在耶和华殿管理工匠的人手中，他们可以把银子交付在耶和华殿修补破坏的地方的工匠，
王下22:5 And let it be given to the overseers of the work of the Lord's house, to give to the workmen who are making good what was damaged in the house of the Lord;
王下22:6 就是交给木匠、建筑工人、石匠，又购买木材和凿好的石头，用来修理圣殿破坏的地方。
王下22:6 To the woodworkers and the builders and the stone-cutters; and for getting wood and cut stones for the building up of the house.
王下22:7 银子交在他们手中，不用和他们算账，因为他们办事诚实。”
王下22:7 They did not have to give any account of the money which was handed to them, for they made use of it with good faith.
王下22:8 希勒家大祭司对书记沙番说：“我在耶和华的殿里找到了一卷律法书。”他把书卷交给沙番；沙番就阅读那书卷。
王下22:8 Then Hilkiah, the chief priest, said to Shaphan the scribe, I have made discovery of the book of the law in the house of the Lord. So Hilkiah gave it to Shaphan;
王下22:9 书记沙番来见王，向王回报说：“你的臣仆已经把殿里的银子清点，交在耶和华殿里管理工匠的人手中。”
王下22:9 Then, after reading it, Shaphan the scribe went in to the king and gave him an account of what had been done, saying, Your servants have given out the money which was in the house, and have given it to the overseers of the work of the house of the Lord.
王下22:10 书记沙番又告诉王说：“希勒家大祭司交给我一卷书卷。”书记沙番就在王面前诵读那书卷。
王下22:10 Then Shaphan the scribe said to the king, Hilkiah the priest has given me a book; and he was reading it before the king.
王下22:11 王听见律法书上的话的时候，就撕裂自己的衣服。
王下22:11 And the king, hearing the words of the book of the law, took his robe in his hands, violently parting it as a sign of his grief;
王下22:12 王又吩咐希勒家祭司、沙番的儿子亚希甘、米该亚的儿子亚革博、书记沙番和王的臣仆及亚撒雅说：
王下22:12 And he gave orders to Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Achbor, the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying,
王下22:13 “你们去，为了我、为了人民、为了犹大全国，因着所发现的这书卷上的话求问耶和华，因为耶和华向我们所发的怒气极大；这是因着我们的祖先没有听从这律法书上的话，没有照着所有写给我们的去行。”
王下22:13 Go and get directions from the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah, about the words of this book which has come to light; for great is the wrath of the Lord which is burning against us, because our fathers have not given ear to the words of this book, to do all the things which are recorded in it.
王下22:14 于是希勒家祭司、亚希甘、亚革博、沙番、亚撒雅去见女先知户勒大。她就是掌管礼服的沙龙的妻子，沙龙是哈珥哈斯的孙子、特瓦的儿子。她住在耶路撒冷第二区；他们就把事情都告诉了她。
王下22:14 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam and Achbor and Shaphan and Asaiah, went to Huldah the woman prophet, the wife of Shallum, the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the robes, (now she was living in Jerusalem, in the second part of the town;) and they had talk with her.
王下22:15 她对他们说：“耶和华以色列的 神这样说：‘告诉那差你们到我这里来的人说：
王下22:15 And she said to them, The Lord, the God of Israel, says, Say to the man who sent you to me,
王下22:16 耶和华这样说：看哪，我要照着犹大王所念那书卷上所有的话，使灾祸降临在这地方和它的居民身上，
王下22:16 These are the words of the Lord: See, I will send evil on this place and on its people, even everything which the king of Judah has been reading in the book;
王下22:17 因为他们背弃了我，向别的神焚香。他们所行的一切都使我发怒，因此我的怒火要在这地方燃点，不会熄灭。
王下22:17 Because they have given me up, burning offerings to other gods and moving me to wrath by all the work of their hands; so my wrath will be on fire against this place, and will not be put out.
王下22:18 至于那差你们来求问耶和华的犹大王，你们要这样对他说：耶和华以色列的 神这样说：有关你所听见的话，
王下22:18 But to the king of Judah who sent you to get directions from the Lord, say, This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, has said: As to the words which have come to your ears,
王下22:19 你听见我攻击这地方和它的居民的话，就是他们要成为荒凉，受咒诅，你的心就顺服，在我面前谦卑，又撕裂自己的衣服，在我面前哀哭，我已经听到了。这是耶和华的宣告。
王下22:19 Because your heart was soft, and you made yourself low before me, when you had word of what I said against this place and its people, that they would become a waste and a curse, and you gave signs of grief, weeping before me: truly, I have given ear to you, says the Lord.
王下22:20 因此，看哪，我要使你归到你的祖先那里，你必平平安安地葬在你的坟墓里；你不会看见我要降在这地的一切灾祸。’”他们就把这话向王回报。
王下22:20 For this cause I will let you go to your fathers and be put in your last resting-place in peace, and your eyes will not see all the evil which I will send on this place. So they took this news back to the king.
