撒下9:1 大卫问：“扫罗家还有剩下的人没有？我要因约拿单的缘故，以慈爱待他。”
撒下9:1 And David said, Is there still anyone of Saul's family living, so that I may be a friend to him, because of Jonathan?
撒下9:2 扫罗家有一个仆人，名叫洗巴。有人叫他来见大卫；王问他：“你是洗巴吗？”他回答：“仆人正是。”
撒下9:2 Now there was of Saul's people a servant named Ziba, and they sent him to David; and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am.
撒下9:3 王又问：“扫罗家还有人没有？我要以 神的慈爱待他。”洗巴回答王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，他双脚残废了。”
撒下9:3 And the king said, Is there anyone of Saul's family still living, to whom I may be a friend in God's name? And Ziba said, There is a son of Jonathan, whose feet are damaged.
撒下9:4 王又问他说：“他在哪里？”洗巴回答王说：“他在罗．底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里。”
撒下9:4 And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, He is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
撒下9:5 于是大卫王派人去把他从罗．底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里接来。
撒下9:5 Then King David sent, and had him taken from Lo-debar, from the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel.
撒下9:6 扫罗的孙子，约拿单的儿子米非波设来到大卫面前，俯伏叩拜。大卫说：“米非波设！”他回答：“仆人在这里。”
撒下9:6 And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, came to David, and falling down on his face, gave him honour. And David said, Mephibosheth. And answering he said, Your servant is here.
撒下9:7 大卫对他说：“你不要怕，我必因你父亲约拿单的缘故，以慈爱待你，把你祖父扫罗所有的田地都归还给你；你也可以常常与我同席吃饭。”
撒下9:7 And David said to him, Have no fear: for truly I will be good to you, because of your father Jonathan, and I will give back to you all the land which was Saul's; and you will have a place at my table at all times.
撒下9:8 米非波设再叩拜说：“仆人算什么？你竟然眷顾我这个像条死狗的人！”
撒下9:8 And he went down on his face before the king, and said, What is your servant, for you to take note of a dead dog such as I am?
撒下9:9 王把扫罗的仆人洗巴召来，对他说：“我已经把属于扫罗，以及他全家所有的一切，给了你主人的孙子。
撒下9:9 Then the king sent for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, All the property of Saul and of his family I have given to your master's son.
撒下9:10 你和你的儿子，以及你的仆人，都要替他耕种田地；你要把所收获的拿来，供他食用。米非波设要常常与我同席吃饭。”洗巴有十五个儿子，二十个仆人。
撒下9:10 And you and your sons and your servants are to take care of the land for him, and get in the fruit of it, so that your master's son may have food: but Mephibosheth, your master's son, will have a place at my table at all times. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
撒下9:11 洗巴对王说：“我主我王吩咐仆人的一切，仆人都必遵行。”于是米非波设与王同桌吃饭，像是王的一个儿子一样。
撒下9:11 Then Ziba said to the king, Every order which you have given to your servant will be done. As for Mephibosheth, he had a place at David's table, like one of the king's sons.
撒下9:12 米非波设有一个小儿子，名叫米迦。住在洗巴家里的人，都作了米非波设的仆人。
撒下9:12 And Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. And all the people living in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.
撒下9:13 这样，米非波设住在耶路撒冷，常常与王同席吃饭。可是他的双腿都是瘸的。
撒下9:13 So Mephibosheth went on living in Jerusalem; for he took all his meals at the king's table; and he had not the use of his feet.
