代上23:1 大卫年老，寿数将尽的时候，就立他的儿子所罗门作王统治以色列。
代上23:1 Now David was old and full of days; and he made his son Solomon king over Israel.
代上23:2 大卫召集了以色列的众领袖、祭司和利未人。
代上23:2 And he got together all the chiefs of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
代上23:3 利未人自三十岁以上的都被数点；按统计，他们男丁的数目，共有三万八千人。
代上23:3 And the Levites, all those of thirty years old and over, were numbered; and the number of them, by heads, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
代上23:4 其中有二万四千人，监管耶和华殿宇的工作；有六千人作官长和审判官；
代上23:4 Of these, twenty-four thousand were to be overseers of the work of the house of the Lord, and six thousand were judges and men of authority;
代上23:5 有四千人作守门的，又有四千人用大卫所做（“大卫所做”原文作“我做”）的乐器赞美耶和华。
代上23:5 Four thousand were door-keepers; and four thousand gave praise to the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, for giving praise.
代上23:6 大卫把利未的儿子革顺、哥辖和米拉利的子孙，分成班次。
代上23:6 And David put them into divisions under the names of the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
代上23:7 革顺的子孙有拉但和示每。
代上23:7 Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
代上23:8 拉但的儿子是：长子耶歇，还有西坦和约珥，共三人。
代上23:8 The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham and Joel, three.
代上23:9 示每的儿子有示罗密、哈薛和哈兰，共三人。以上这些人是拉但家族的首领。
代上23:9 The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth and Haziel and Haran, three; these were the heads of the families of Ladan.
代上23:10 示每的儿子是雅哈、细拿、耶乌施和比利亚；这四人都是示每的儿子。
代上23:10 And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zizah and Jeush and Beriah; these four were the sons of Shimei.
代上23:11 雅哈是长子，细撒是次子；耶乌施和比利亚的子孙不多，所以合为一个家族，同归一个班次。
代上23:11 Jahath was the chief and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah had only a small number of sons, so they were grouped together as one family.
代上23:12 哥辖的儿子是暗兰、以斯哈、希伯伦和乌薛，共四人。
代上23:12 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
代上23:13 暗兰的儿子是亚伦和摩西。亚伦和他的子孙永远被分别出来，献上至圣之物；在耶和华面前烧香，服事他，奉他的名祝福，直到永远。
代上23:13 The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was made separate and holy, he and his sons for ever, for the care of the most holy things and the burning of offerings before the Lord, to do his work and give blessings in his name for ever.
代上23:14 至于神人摩西，他的子孙记在利未支派的册上。
代上23:14 And the sons of Moses, the man of God, were put into the list of the tribe of Levi.
代上23:15 摩西的儿子是革舜和以利以谢。
代上23:15 The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
代上23:16 革舜的长子是细布业。
代上23:16 The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the first.
代上23:17 以利以谢的儿子是利哈比雅；以利以谢没有别的儿子，利哈比雅却有很多儿子。
代上23:17 And the sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the first; and Eliezer had no other sons, but Rehabiah had a great number.
代上23:18 以斯哈的长子是示罗密。
代上23:18 The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the first.
代上23:19 希伯伦的儿子是：长子耶利雅、次子亚玛利亚、三子雅哈悉、四子耶加面。
代上23:19 The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
代上23:20 乌薛的儿子是：长子米迦、次子耶西雅。
代上23:20 The sons of Uzziel: Micah the first, and Isshiah the second.
代上23:21 米拉利的儿子是抹利和母示；抹利的儿子是以利亚撒和基士。
代上23:21 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
代上23:22 以利亚撒死了，没有儿子，只有女儿；基士的儿子们，就是他们的亲族，娶了她们为妻。
代上23:22 And at his death Eleazar had no sons, but only daughters, and their relations, the sons of Kish, took them as wives.
代上23:23 母示的儿子是末力、以得和耶利摩，共三人。
代上23:23 The sons of Mushi: Mahli and Eder and Jeremoth, three.
代上23:24 以上这些是利未的子孙，按着他们的家族，各家的首领，照着男丁的名字被数点，二十岁以上的，都是办理耶和华殿的事务的。
代上23:24 These were the sons of Levi, grouped by families, the heads of the families of those who were numbered by name, by heads, all those of twenty years old and over who did the work of the house of the Lord.
代上23:25 因为大卫曾说：“耶和华以色列的 神已经使他的子民得享安宁，他自己永远住在耶路撒冷。
代上23:25 For David said, The Lord, the God of Israel, has given his people rest, and he has made his resting-place in Jerusalem for ever;
代上23:26 利未人不必再抬帐幕和其中所使用的一切器皿了。”
代上23:26 And from now, there will be no need for the House of the Lord, and the vessels used in it, to be moved about by the Levites.
代上23:27 按着大卫临终所吩咐的话，利未人从二十岁以上的都被数点了。
代上23:27 So among the last acts of David was the numbering of the sons of Levi, from twenty years old and over.
代上23:28 他们的职任是协助亚伦的子孙，办理耶和华殿的事务，管理院子、厢房和洁净一切圣物，以及办理 神殿的事务；
代上23:28 Their place was by the side of the sons of Aaron in all the work of the house of the Lord, in the open spaces and in the rooms, in the making clean of all the holy things, in doing all the work of the house of the Lord,
代上23:29 又管理陈设饼、素祭细面，或无酵薄饼，或是煎盘烤的，或是用油调和的，以及管理各种量度的器具。
代上23:29 The holy bread was in their care, and the crushed grain for the meal offering, of unleavened cakes or meal cooked over the fire or in water; they had control of all sorts of weights and measures;
代上23:30 每天早晨要侍立称谢和赞美耶和华，每天晚上也要这样；
代上23:30 They had to take their places every morning to give praise and make melody to the Lord, and in the same way at evening;
代上23:31 又要在安息日，每月初一日和指定的节日，按着数目照着规例，把燔祭不住地献在耶和华面前。
代上23:31 At every offering of burned offerings to the Lord, on Sabbaths, and at the new moons, and on the regular feasts, in the number ordered by the law, at all times before the Lord;
代上23:32 他们要看守会幕和圣所，以及看管他们在耶和华殿里办事的亲族，亚伦的子孙。
代上23:32 And they had the care of the Tent of meeting and the holy place, under the direction of the sons of Aaron their brothers, for the work of the house of the Lord.
