撒上27:1 大卫心里说：“总有一天，我会死在扫罗的手里，我倒不如逃奔到非利士人的国土，扫罗对我就会死心，不再在以色列全境寻索我，我就可以逃脱他的手了。”
撒上27:1 And David said to himself, Some day death will come to me by the hand of Saul: the only thing for me to do is to get away into the land of the Philistines; then Saul will give up hope of taking me in any part of the land of Israel: and so I may be able to get away from him.
撒上27:2 于是大卫起来，和跟随他的六百人都越过边界，到迦特王玛俄的儿子亚吉那里去。
撒上27:2 So David and the six hundred men who were with him went over to Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
撒上27:3 大卫和跟随他的人，以及他们各人的家眷，都与亚吉一同住在迦特。大卫的两个妻子，就是耶斯列人亚希暖和作过拿八妻子的迦密人亚比该也都住在那里。
撒上27:3 And David and his men were living with Achish at Gath; every man had his family with him, and David had his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail of Carmel, who had been the wife of Nabal.
撒上27:4 有人告诉扫罗，大卫已经逃到迦特去了，扫罗就不再寻索他了。
撒上27:4 And Saul, hearing that David had gone to Gath, went after him no longer.
撒上27:5 大卫对亚吉说：“我若是在你眼前蒙恩，求你在这地的城市中，给我一个地方，让我住在那里。为什么要你的仆人与你一同住在王城呢？”
撒上27:5 Then David said to Achish, If now I have grace in your eyes, let me have a place in one of the smaller towns of your land, to be my living-place; for it is not right for your servant to be living with you in the king's town.
撒上27:6 那天，亚吉就把洗革拉赐给大卫，因此，洗革拉直到今日还是属犹大王的。
撒上27:6 So Achish straight away gave him Ziklag: and for that reason Ziklag has been the property of the kings of Judah to this day.
撒上27:7 大卫在非利士人的乡镇居住的日子，共有一年零四个月。
撒上27:7 And David was living in the land of the Philistines for the space of a year and four months.
撒上27:8 大卫和跟随他的人上去袭击基述人、基色人和亚玛力人，这些人自古以来就是这地的居民，居于书珥到埃及地之间。
撒上27:8 And David and his men went up and made attacks on the Geshurites and the Girzites and the Amalekites; for these were the people who were living in the land from Telam on the way to Shur, as far as Egypt.
撒上27:9 大卫攻打那地，无论男女，都不让一人存活，又掳走了牛、羊、驴子、骆驼和衣服，然后回来，到亚吉那里去。
撒上27:9 And David again and again made attacks on the land till not a man or a woman was still living; and he took away the sheep and the oxen and the asses and the camels and the clothing; and he came back to Achish.
撒上27:10 亚吉问：“你们今天袭击了什么地方呢？”大卫回答：“我们袭击了犹大的南方，耶拉蔑的南部，和基尼的南方。”
撒上27:10 And every time Achish said, Where have you been fighting today? David said, Against the South of Judah and the South of the Jerahmeelites and the South of the Kenites.
撒上27:11 无论男女，大卫都不让一人活着带到迦特来，他说：“恐怕他们把我们的事告诉别人，说：‘大卫作了这样的事，他住在非利士人乡镇的日子，常常这样作。’”
撒上27:11 Not one living man or woman did David ever take back with him to Gath, fearing that they might give an account of what had taken place, and say, This is what David did, and so has he been doing all the time while he has been living in the land of the Philistines.
撒上27:12 亚吉相信了大卫，心里说：“他在自己的族人以色列中留下了臭名，他必永远作我的仆人了。”
撒上27:12 And Achish had belief in what David said, saying, He has made himself hated by all his people Israel, and so he will be my servant for ever.
