申5:1 摩西把以色列人都召了来，对他们说：“以色列人哪，我今日讲给你们听的律例和典章，你们要听从，要学习，要谨慎遵行。
申5:1 And Moses sent for all Israel, and said to them, Give ear, O Israel, to the laws and the decisions which I give you today, and give attention to them so that you may keep and do them.
申5:2 耶和华我们的 神在何烈山与我们立了约。
申5:2 The Lord our God made an agreement with us in Horeb.
申5:3 这约，耶和华不是与我们的列祖立的，而是与我们今日在这里还活着的人立的。
申5:3 The Lord did not make this agreement with our fathers but with us, who are all living and present here today.
申5:4 耶和华在山上，从火中，面对面的与你们说话。
申5:4 The word of the Lord came to you face to face on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire,
申5:5 那时，我站在耶和华和你们中间，要把耶和华的话告诉你们；你们因为惧怕那火，所以没有上到山上来，耶和华说：
申5:5 (I was between the Lord and you at that time, to make clear to you the word of the Lord: because, through fear of the fire, you did not go up the mountain;) saying,
申5:6 “‘我是耶和华你的 神，曾经把你从埃及地，从为奴之家领出来。
申5:6 I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the prison-house.
申5:7 “‘除我以外，你不可有别的神。
申5:7 You are to have no other gods but me.
申5:8 “‘你不可为自己做偶像，也不可做天上、地下和地底下水中各物的形象。
申5:8 You may not make for yourselves an image in the form of anything in heaven or on earth or in the waters under the earth:
申5:9 不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的 神是忌邪的 神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。
申5:9 You may not go down on your faces before them or give them worship: for I, the Lord your God, am a God who will not give his honour to another; and I will send punishment on the children for the wrongdoing of their fathers, to the third and fourth generation of my haters;
申5:10 爱我和遵守我诫命的，我必向他们施慈爱，直到千代。
申5:10 And I will have mercy through a thousand generations on those who have love for me and keep my laws.
申5:11 “‘不可妄称耶和华你 神的名，因为妄称耶和华的名的，耶和华必不以他为无罪。
申5:11 You are not to make use of the name of the Lord your God for an evil purpose; whoever takes the Lord's name on his lips for an evil purpose will be judged as a sinner by the Lord.
申5:12 “‘要遵守安息日为圣日，照着耶和华你 神吩咐你的。
申5:12 Keep the Sabbath day as a holy day, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God.
申5:13 六日要劳碌，作你一切工作。
申5:13 On six days do all your work:
申5:14 但第七日是属于耶和华你 神的安息日；这一日，你和你的儿女、仆婢、牛驴和一切牲畜，以及你城里的寄居者，不可作任何的工，好使你的仆婢可以和你一样享受安息。
申5:14 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; on that day do no work, you or your son or your daughter, or your man-servant or your woman-servant, or your ox or your ass or any of your cattle, or the man from a strange country who is living among you; so that your man-servant and your woman-servant may have rest as well as you.
申5:15 你要记住：你在埃及地作过奴仆；耶和华你的 神用大能的手和伸出来的膀臂，把你从那里领出来，因此耶和华你的 神吩咐你要守安息日。
申5:15 And keep in mind that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord your God took you out of that land by his strong hand and his stretched-out arm: for this reason the Lord has given you orders to keep the Sabbath day.
申5:16 “‘要孝敬父母，照着耶和华你的 神吩咐你的，使你可以得享长寿，也使你在耶和华你的 神赐给你的地上，得享福乐。
申5:16 Give honour to your father and your mother, as you have been ordered by the Lord your God; so that your life may be long and all may be well for you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
申5:17 “‘不可杀人。
申5:17 Do not put anyone to death without cause.
申5:18 “‘不可奸淫。
申5:18 Do not be false to the married relation.
申5:19 “‘不可偷盗。
申5:19 Do not take the property of another.
申5:20 “‘不可作假证供陷害你的邻舍。
申5:20 Do not give false witness against your neighbour;
申5:21 “‘不可贪爱你邻舍的妻子；不可贪图你邻舍的房屋、田地、仆婢、牛驴和你邻舍的任何东西。’
申5:21 Or let your desire be turned to your neighbour's wife, or his house or his field or his man-servant or his woman-servant or his ox or his ass or anything which is your neighbour's.
申5:22 “这些话就是耶和华在山上，从火中、密云中、幽暗里，大声对你们全体会众所说的，并没有加添什么；他把这些话写在两块石版上，交给了我。
申5:22 These words the Lord said to all of you together on the mountain, out of the heart of the fire, out of the cloud and the dark, with a great voice: and he said no more; he put them in writing on the two stones of the law and gave them to me.
申5:23 那时山上被火烧着，你们听见有声音从黑暗中发出来的时候，你们各支派的首领和你们的长老，都走到我这里来，
申5:23 And after hearing the voice which came out of the dark while the mountain was burning with fire, all the heads of your tribes and your chiefs came to me,
申5:24 说：‘看哪，耶和华我们的 神把他的荣耀和伟大显给我们看，我们又听见他从火中发出来的声音；今日我们看见了 神与人说话，而人还能活着。
申5:24 And said, The Lord has let us see his glory and his power, and his voice has come to us out of the fire: today we have seen that a man may go on living even after hearing the voice of God.
申5:25 现在这大火快要吞灭我们了，我们为什么要冒死呢？如果我们再听见耶和华我们 神的声音，我们就必死亡。
申5:25 Why then is death to be our fate? For if the voice of the Lord our God comes to us any more, death will overtake us, and we will be burned up in this great fire.
申5:26 因为有血肉生命的人，有谁像我们一样，听见永活的 神从火中说话的声音，还能活着呢？
申5:26 For what man is there in all the earth, who, hearing the voice of the living God as we have, out of the heart of the fire, has been kept from death?
申5:27 现在求你走前去，听听耶和华我们的 神要说的一切话；然后你要把耶和华我们的 神对你所说的一切话，都告诉我们；我们就必听从，也必遵行。’
申5:27 Do you go near: and after hearing everything which the Lord our God has to say, give us an account of all he has said to you, and we will give ear, and do it.
申5:28 “你们对我说话的时候，耶和华听见了你们说话的声音；耶和华就对我说：‘这人民对你所说的话，我都听见了；他们所说的都很好。
申5:28 Then the Lord, hearing your words to me, said to me, The words which this people have said to you have come to my ears: what they have said is well said.
申5:29 但愿他们常常存着这样的心，敬畏我，遵守我的一切诫命，使他们和他们的子孙永享福乐。
申5:29 If only they had such a heart in them at all times, so that they might go in fear of me and keep my orders and that it might be well for them and for their children for ever!
申5:30 你去对他们说：“你们回到自己的帐棚里去吧。”
申5:30 Now say to them, Go back to your tents.
申5:31 至于你，你要站在我这里；我要把一切诫命、律例、典章，都告诉你；你要教导他们，使他们在我赐给他们作产业的地上遵行。’
申5:31 But as for you, keep your place here by me, and I will give you all the orders and the laws and the decisions which you are to make clear to them, so that they may do them in the land which I am giving them for their heritage.
申5:32 所以，你们要照着耶和华你们的 神吩咐你们的，谨守遵行，不可偏离左右。
申5:32 Take care, then, to do whatever the Lord your God has given you orders to do; let there be no turning away to the right hand or to the left.
申5:33 你们要走在耶和华你们的 神吩咐你们走的路上，使你们可以活着，可以享福，并且使你在将要占领为业的地上，可以长久居住。”
申5:33 Go on walking in the way ordered for you by the Lord your God, so that life may be yours and it may be well for you, and your days may be long in the land of your heritage.
