约14:1 “你们心里不要难过，你们应当信 神，也应当信我。
约14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: have faith in God and have faith in me.
约14:2 在我父的家里，有许多住的地方；如果没有，我怎么会告诉你们我去是要为你们预备地方呢？（下半节或译：“如果没有，我早就对你们说了，因为我去是为你们预备地方。”）
约14:2 In my Father's house are rooms enough; if it was not so, would I have said that I am going to make ready a place for you?
约14:3 我若去为你们预备地方，就必再来接你们到我那里去，好使我在哪里，你们也在哪里。
约14:3 And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am.
约14:4 我去的地方，你们知道那条路。”
约14:4 And you all have knowledge of where I am going, and of the way to it.
约14:5 多马说：“主啊，我们不知道你去的地方，怎能知道那条路呢？”
约14:5 Thomas said, Lord, we have no knowledge of where you are going; how may we have knowledge of the way?
约14:6 耶稣对他说：“我就是道路、真理、生命，如果不是借着我，没有人能到父那里去。
约14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the true and living way: no one comes to the Father but by me.
约14:7 如果你们认识我，就必认识我的父；从今以后，你们认识他，并且看见了他。”
约14:7 If you had knowledge of me, you would have knowledge of my Father: you have knowledge of him now and have seen him.
约14:8 腓力说：“主啊，请把父显示给我们，我们就满足了。”
约14:8 Philip said to him, Lord, let us see the Father, and we have need of nothing more.
约14:9 耶稣说：“腓力，我跟你们在一起这么久了，你还不认识我吗？那看见了我的就是看见了父，你怎么还说‘把父显示给我们’呢？
约14:9 Jesus said to him, Philip, have I been with you all this time, and still you have no knowledge of me? He who has seen me has seen the Father. Why do you say, Let us see the Father?
约14:10 你不信我是在父里面，父是在我里面吗？我对你们说的话，不是凭着自己说的，而是住在我里面的父作他自己的事。
约14:10 Have you not faith that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words which I say to you, I say not from myself: but the Father who is in me all the time does his works.
约14:11 你们应当信我是在父里面，父是在我里面；不然，也要因我所作的而相信。
约14:11 Have faith that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me: at least, have faith in me because of what I do.
约14:12 我实实在在告诉你们，我所作的事，信我的人也要作，并且要作比这些更大的，因为我往父那里去。
约14:12 Truly I say to you, He who puts his faith in me will do the very works which I do, and he will do greater things than these, because I am going to my Father.
约14:13 你们奉我的名无论求什么，我必定成全，使父在子的身上得着荣耀。
约14:13 And whatever request you make in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may have glory in the Son.
约14:14 你们若奉我的名向我求什么，我必定成全。
约14:14 If you make any request to me in my name, I will do it.
约14:15 “如果你们爱我，就要遵守我的命令。
约14:15 If you have love for me, you will keep my laws.
约14:16 我要请求父，他就会赐给你们另一位保惠师，使他跟你们永远在一起。
约14:16 And I will make prayer to the Father and he will give you another Helper to be with you for ever,
约14:17 这保惠师就是真理的灵，世人不能接受他，因为看不见他，也不认识他。你们却认识他，因为他跟你们住在一起，也要在你们里面。
约14:17 Even the Spirit of true knowledge. That Spirit the world is not able to take to its heart because it sees him not and has no knowledge of him: but you have knowledge of him, because he is ever with you and will be in you.
约14:18 我不会撇下你们为孤儿，我要回到你们这里来。
约14:18 I will not let you be without a friend: I am coming to you.
约14:19 不久以后，世人不再看见我，你们却要看见我，因为我活着，你们也要活着。
约14:19 A little time longer, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me; and you will be living because I am living.
约14:20 到那日，你们就知道我是在我父里面，你们是在我里面，我也在你们里面。
约14:20 At that time it will be clear to you that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I in you.
约14:21 那领受我的命令，并且遵守的，就是爱我的；爱我的，我父必定爱他，我也要爱他，并且要亲自向他显现。”
约14:21 He who has my laws and keeps them, he it is who has love for me: and he who has love for me will be loved by my Father, and I will have love for him and will let myself be seen clearly by him.
约14:22 犹大（不是加略人犹大）对耶稣说：“主啊，你为什么要亲自向我们显现，不向世人显现呢？”
约14:22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, How is it that you will let yourself be seen clearly by us and not by the world?
约14:23 耶稣回答：“人若爱我，就要遵守我的话，我父必定爱他，并且我们要到他那里去，跟他住在一起。
约14:23 Jesus said to him in answer, If anyone has love for me, he will keep my words: and he will be dear to my Father; and we will come to him and make our living-place with him.
约14:24 不爱我的，就不会遵守我的话。你们所听见的道，不是我的，而是那差我来的父的道。
约14:24 He who has no love for me does not keep my words; and the word which you are hearing is not my word but the Father's who sent me.
约14:25 “我还跟你们在一起的时候，就对你们讲了这些事。
约14:25 I have said all this to you while I am still with you.
约14:26 但保惠师，就是父因我的名要差来的圣灵，他要把一切事教导你们，也要使你们想起我对你们所说过的一切话。
约14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will be your teacher in all things and will put you in mind of everything I have said to you.
约14:27 我留下平安给你们，我把自己的平安赐给你们；我给你们的，不像世界所给的。你们心里不要难过，也不要恐惧。
约14:27 May peace be with you; my peace I give to you: I give it not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled; let it be without fear.
约14:28 你们听见我对你们说过：‘我去，但还要回到你们这里来。’你们若爱我，就要喜乐，因为我到父那里去，又因为父是比我大的。
约14:28 Keep in mind how I said to you, I go away and come to you again. If you had love for me you would be glad, because I am going to the Father: for the Father is greater than I.
约14:29 现在事情还没有发生，我就已经告诉你们，使你们在事情发生的时候可以相信。
约14:29 And now I have given you word of it before it comes, so that, when it comes, you may have faith.
约14:30 我不会再跟你们讲很多的事，因为这世界的统治者将到；他在我身上毫无作用，
约14:30 After this I will not say much to you, because the ruler of this world comes: and he has no power over me;
约14:31 但这些事是要使世人知道我爱父，并且知道父怎样吩咐了我，我就怎样作。起来，我们走吧！”
约14:31 But he comes so that the world may see that I have love for the Father, and that I am doing as I am ordered by the Father. Get up, and let us go.
