路4:1 耶稣被圣灵充满，从约旦河回来，圣灵引他到旷野，四十天受魔鬼的试探。
路4:1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, came back from the Jordan, and was guided by the Spirit in the waste land
路4:2 那些日子他什么也没有吃，日子满了他就饿了。
路4:2 For forty days, being tested by the Evil One. And he had no food in those days; and when they came to an end, he was in need of food.
路4:3 魔鬼对他说：“你若是 神的儿子，就吩咐这块石头变成食物吧！”
路4:3 And the Evil One said to him, If you are the Son of God, give orders to this stone to become bread.
路4:4 耶稣回答：“经上记着：‘人活着不是单靠食物。’”
路4:4 And Jesus made answer to him, It has been said in the Writings, Bread is not man's only need.
路4:5 魔鬼引他上到高处，霎时间把天下万国指给他看，
路4:5 And he took him up and let him see all the kingdoms of the earth in a minute of time.
路4:6 对他说：“这一切权柄、荣华，我都可以给你；因为这些都交给了我，我愿意给谁就给谁。
路4:6 And the Evil One said, I will give you authority over all these, and the glory of them, for it has been given to me, and I give it to anyone at my pleasure.
路4:7 所以，只要你在我面前拜一拜，这一切就全是你的了。”
路4:7 If then you will give worship to me, it will all be yours.
路4:8 耶稣回答：“经上记着：‘当拜主你的 神，单要事奉他。’”
路4:8 And Jesus in answer said to him, It has been said in the Writings, Give worship to the Lord your God, and be his servant only.
路4:9 魔鬼又引他到耶路撒冷，叫他站在殿顶上，对他说：“你若是 神的儿子，就从这里跳下去吧！
路4:9 And he took him to Jerusalem and put him on the highest point of the Temple and said to him, If you are the Son of God, let yourself go down from here; for it is said in the Writings,
路4:10 因为经上记着：‘他为了你，会吩咐自己的使者保护你。’
路4:10 He will give his angels orders to take care of you:
路4:11 又记着：‘用手托住你，免得你的脚碰到石头。’”
路4:11 And, In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.
路4:12 耶稣回答：“经上说：‘不可试探主你的 神。’”
路4:12 And Jesus made answer and said to him, It is said in the Writings, You may not put the Lord your God to the test.
路4:13 魔鬼用尽了各种试探，就暂时离开了耶稣。
路4:13 And when all these tests were ended the Evil One went away from him for a time.
路4:14 耶稣带着圣灵的能力，回到加利利。他的名声传遍了周围各地。
路4:14 And Jesus came back to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news of him went through all the country round about.
路4:15 他在各会堂里教导人，很受众人的尊崇。
路4:15 And he was teaching in their Synagogues and all men gave him praise.
路4:16 耶稣来到拿撒勒自己长大的地方，照着习惯在安息日进入会堂，站起来要读经。
路4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been as a child, and he went, as his way was, into the Synagogue on the Sabbath, and got up to give a reading.
路4:17 有人把以赛亚先知的书递给他，他展开书卷找到一处，上面写着：
路4:17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was given to him and, opening the book, he came on the place where it is said,
路4:18 “主的灵在我身上，因为他膏我去传福音给贫穷的人，差遣我去宣告被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，受压制的得自由，
路4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news to the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say that the prisoners will be let go, and the blind will see, and to make the wounded free from their chains,
路4:19 又宣告主悦纳人的禧年。”
路4:19 To give knowledge that the year of the Lord's good pleasure is come.
路4:20 他把书卷卷好，交还侍役，就坐下。会堂里众人都注视他。
路4:20 And shutting the book he gave it back to the servant and took his seat: and the eyes of all in the Synagogue were fixed on him.
路4:21 他就对他们说：“这段经文今天应验在你们中间（“中间”原文作“耳中”）了。”
路4:21 Then he said to them, Today this word has come true in your hearing.
路4:22 众人称赞他，希奇他口中所出的恩言，并且说：“这不是约瑟的儿子吗？”
路4:22 And they were all giving witness, with wonder, to the words of grace which came from his mouth: and they said, Is not this the son of Joseph?
路4:23 他说：“你们必向我说这俗语：‘医生，治好你自己吧！’也必说：‘我们听见你在迦百农所行的一切事，也该在你本乡这里行啊！’”
路4:23 And he said to them, Without doubt you will say to me, Let the medical man make himself well: the things which to our knowledge were done at Capernaum, do them here in your country.
路4:24 他又说：“我实在告诉你们，没有先知在他本乡是受欢迎的。
路4:24 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, No prophet is honoured in his country.
路4:25 我对你们说实话，当以利亚的时候，三年六个月不下雨（“不下雨”原文作“天闭塞”），遍地大起饥荒，那时以色列中有许多寡妇，
路4:25 Truly I say to you, There were a number of widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months and there was no food in the land;
路4:26 以利亚没有奉差遣往他们中间任何一个那里去，只到西顿撒勒法的一个寡妇那里。
路4:26 But Elijah was not sent to one of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
路4:27 以利沙先知的时候，以色列中有许多患痲风的人，其中除了叙利亚的乃缦，没有一个得洁净的。”
路4:27 And there were a number of lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and not one of them was made clean, but only Naaman the Syrian.
路4:28 会堂里的众人听见这话，都怒气填胸，
路4:28 And all who were in the Synagogue were very angry when these things were said to them.
路4:29 起来赶他出城（这城原来建在山上），他们拉他到山崖，要把他推下去。
路4:29 And they got up and took him out of the town to the edge of the mountain on which their town was, so that they might send him down to his death.
路4:30 耶稣却从他们中间走过，就离去了。
路4:30 But he came through them and went on his way.
路4:31 耶稣下到加利利的迦百农城，在安息日教导人。
路4:31 And he came down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee; and he was giving them teaching on the Sabbath.
路4:32 他们对他的教训都很惊奇，因为他的话带着权柄。
路4:32 And they were surprised at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
路4:33 会堂里有一个被污鬼附着的人，大声喊叫：
路4:33 And there was a man in the Synagogue who had an unclean spirit; and he gave a loud cry and said,
路4:34 “哎！拿撒勒人耶稣，我们跟你有什么关系呢？你来毁灭我们吗？我知道你是谁，你是 神的圣者。”
路4:34 Let us be! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to put an end to us? I have knowledge who you are, the Holy One of God.
路4:35 耶稣斥责他说：“住口！从他身上出来！”鬼把那人摔倒在众人中间，就从他身上出来了，没有伤害他。
路4:35 And Jesus said to him, Be quiet, and come out of him. And when the evil spirit had put him down on the earth in the middle of them, he came out of him, having done him no damage.
路4:36 众人都惊骇，彼此谈论说：“这是怎么回事？他用权柄能力吩咐污灵，污灵竟出来了。”
路4:36 And wonder came on them all and they said to one another, What are these words? for with authority and power he gives orders to the evil spirits and they come out.
路4:37 耶稣的名声，传遍了周围各地。
路4:37 And there was much talk about him in all the places round about.
路4:38 他起身离开会堂，进入西门的家。西门的岳母正在发高热，他们为她求耶稣。
路4:38 And he got up and went out of the Synagogue and went into the house of Simon. And Simon's wife's mother was very ill with a burning heat; and in answer to their prayers for her
路4:39 耶稣站在她旁边，斥责那热病，热就退了；她立刻起身服事他们。
路4:39 He went near her, and with a sharp word he gave orders to the disease and it went away from her; and straight away she got up and took care of their needs.
路4:40 日落的时候，不论害什么病的人，都被带到耶稣那里；他一一为他们按手，医好他们。
路4:40 And at sundown all those who had anyone ill with any sort of disease, took them to him, and he put his hands on every one of them and made them well.
路4:41 又有鬼从好些人身上出来，喊着说：“你是 神的儿子。”耶稣斥责他们，不许他们说话，因为他们知道他是基督。
路4:41 And evil spirits came out of a number of them, crying out and saying, You are the Son of God. But he gave them sharp orders not to say a word, because they had knowledge that he was the Christ.
路4:42 天一亮，耶稣出来，到旷野地方去。众人寻找他，一直找到他那里，要留住他，不要他离开他们。
路4:42 And when it was day, he came out and went to a waste place; and great numbers of people came looking for him, and they came to him and would have kept him from going away.
路4:43 他却说：“我也必须到别的城去传 神国的福音，因为我是为了这缘故奉差遣的。”
路4:43 But he said to them, I have to give the good news of the kingdom of God in other towns, because that is why I was sent.
路4:44 于是他往犹太的各会堂去传道。
路4:44 And he was teaching in the Synagogues of Galilee.
