路20:1 有一天，耶稣在殿里教导人，宣讲福音，众祭司长、经学家和长老上前来，
路20:1 And it came about on one of those days, when he was teaching the people in the Temple and preaching the good news,
路20:2 对他说：“告诉我们，你凭着什么权柄作这些事？给你这权柄的是谁？”
路20:2 That the chief priests and the scribes and the rulers of the people came to him and said, Make clear to us by what authority you do these things and who gave you this authority.
路20:3 他回答他们：“我也要问你们一句话，你们告诉我：
路20:3 And in answer he said to them, I will put a question to you, and do you give me an answer:
路20:4 约翰的洗礼是从天上来的，还是从人来的呢？”
路20:4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven or of men?
路20:5 他们就彼此议论说：“如果我们说：‘是从天上来的’，他就会问：‘那你们为什么不相信他呢？’
路20:5 And they said among themselves, If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why did you not have faith in him?
路20:6 如果我们说：‘是从人来的’，众人都会用石头打我们，因为他们都认定约翰是先知。”
路20:6 But if we say, Of men; we will be stoned by the people, for they are certain that John was a prophet.
路20:7 于是他们回答耶稣：“我们不知道是从哪里来的。”
路20:7 And they made answer that they had no idea where it came from.
路20:8 耶稣说：“我也不告诉你们，我凭着什么权柄作这些事。”
路20:8 And Jesus said, And I will not make clear to you by what authority I do these things.
路20:9 于是耶稣向众人讲了这个比喻：“有一个人栽种了一个葡萄园，租给佃户，就远行去了很久。
路20:9 And he gave the people this story: A man made a vine-garden and gave the use of it to some field-workers and went into another country for a long time.
路20:10 到了时候，园主派了一个仆人到佃户那里，叫他们把葡萄园当纳的果子交给他。佃户却打了他，放他空手回去。
路20:10 And at the right time he sent a servant to the workers to get part of the fruit from the vines; but the workmen gave him blows and sent him away with nothing.
路20:11 园主又派另一个仆人去，佃户又打了他，并且侮辱他，也叫他空手回去。
路20:11 And he sent another servant, and they gave blows to him in the same way, and put shame on him, and sent him away with nothing.
路20:12 于是他又派第三个去，佃户把他打伤，赶他走了。
路20:12 And he sent a third, and they gave him wounds and put him out.
路20:13 葡萄园的主人说：‘怎么办呢？我要派我的爱子去，也许这一个他们会尊敬的。’
路20:13 And the lord of the garden said, What am I to do? I will send my dearly loved son; they may give respect to him.
路20:14 佃户一看他，就彼此商议说：‘这是继承产业的，让我们杀了他，那么，产业就成为我们的了。’
路20:14 But when the workmen saw him, they said to one another, This is he who will one day be the owner of the property: let us put him to death and the heritage will be ours.
路20:15 于是他们把园主的爱子推出葡萄园外杀了。主人要怎样对待他们呢？
路20:15 And driving him out of the garden they put him to death. Now what will the lord do to these workmen?
路20:16 他要来除掉这些佃户，把葡萄园租给别人。”他们听见了就说：“千万不要有这样的事发生！”
路20:16 He will come and put them to destruction and give the garden to others. And when he said this, they said, May it not be so.
路20:17 耶稣看着他们，说：“那么，‘建筑工人所弃的石头，成了房角的主要石头’，这经文是什么意思呢？
路20:17 But he, looking on them, said, Is it not in the Writings, The stone which the builders put on one side, the same has become the chief stone of the building?
路20:18 凡是跌在那石头上的，就必摔碎；那石头掉在谁的身上，就必把他压得粉碎。”
路20:18 Everyone falling on that stone will be broken, but the man on whom the stone comes down will be crushed to dust.
路20:19 经学家和祭司长知道这比喻是针对他们说的，当时就想动手拿他，可是又害怕群众。
路20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes made attempts to get their hands on him in that very hour; and they were in fear of the people, for they saw that he had made up this story against them.
路20:20 经学家和祭司长差派奸细伪装好人去窥探耶稣，要抓着他的把柄，好把他交由总督全权裁决。
路20:20 And they kept watch on him, and sent out secret representatives, who were acting the part of good men, in order that they might get something from his words, on account of which they might give him up to the government and into the power of the ruler.
路20:21 奸细问他：“老师，我们知道你所说所教的都对，并且不讲情面，只照着真理把 神的道教导人。
路20:21 And they put a question to him, saying, Master, we are certain that your teaching and your words are right, and that you have no respect for a man's position, but you are teaching the true way of God:
路20:22 我们纳税给凯撒可以不可以？”
路20:22 Is it right for us to make payment of taxes to Caesar or not?
路20:23 耶稣看透他们的诡计，就对他们说：
路20:23 But he saw through their trick and said to them,
路20:24 “给我一个银币看看，上面是谁的像，谁的名号？”他们说：“凯撒的。”
路20:24 Let me see a penny. Whose image and name are on it? And they said, Caesar's.
路20:25 耶稣说：“这样，凯撒的应当归给凯撒， 神的应当归给 神。”
路20:25 And he said, Then give to Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God the things which are God's.
路20:26 他们在群众面前，不能抓住耶稣的把柄，又希奇他的回答，就沉默下来。
路20:26 And they were not able to get anything from these words before the people: but they were full of wonder at his answer, and said nothing.
路20:27 撒都该人向来否认有复活的事，他们当中有几个人来问耶稣：
路20:27 And some of the Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no coming back from the dead; and they said to him,
路20:28 “老师，摩西曾写给我们说：‘如果一个人娶了妻子，还没有儿女就死了，他弟弟就应当娶他的妻子，为哥哥立后。’
路20:28 Master, Moses said that if a man's brother comes to his end, having a wife, but no children, his brother is to take the wife, and get a family for his brother.
路20:29 从前有兄弟七人，头一个娶了妻子，没有孩子就死了。
路20:29 Now there were seven brothers, and the first had a wife and came to his end, having no children;
路20:30 第二个、
路20:30 And the second;
路20:31 第三个，也娶过她；七个都是这样，都没有留下孩子就死了。
路20:31 And the third took her; and in the same way, all the seven, without having any children, came to their end.
路20:32 后来那女人也死了。
路20:32 And last of all, the woman came to her end.
路20:33 那么，这女人在复活的时候，要作哪一个的妻子呢？因为七个人都娶过她。”
路20:33 When they come back from the dead, whose wife will she be? for all the seven had her.
路20:34 耶稣说：“这世界的人又娶又嫁，
路20:34 And Jesus said to them, The sons of this world are married and have wives;
路20:35 但配得那世界的，又配从死人中复活的人，也不娶也不嫁。
路20:35 But those to whom is given the reward of the world to come, and to come back from the dead, have no wives, and are not married;
路20:36 他们和天使一样，不能再死；既然是复活了的人，就是 神的儿女了。
路20:36 And death has no more power over them, for they are equal to the angels, and are sons of God, being of those who will come back from the dead.
路20:37 至于死人复活的事，摩西在荆棘篇上提过，他称主是亚伯拉罕的 神、以撒的 神、雅各的 神；
路20:37 But even Moses made it clear that the dead come back to life, saying, in the story of the burning thorn-tree, The Lord, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
路20:38 神不是死人的 神，而是活人的 神，因为在他那里的人都是活的。”
路20:38 Now he is not the God of the dead but of the living: for all men are living to him.
路20:39 经学家中有几个说：“老师，你说得好。”
路20:39 And some of the scribes, in answer to this, said, Master, you have said well.
路20:40 从此他们再不敢问他什么了。
路20:40 And they had fear of putting any more questions to him.
路20:41 耶稣问他们：“人怎么能说基督是大卫的子孙呢？
路20:41 And he said to them, Why do they say that the Christ is the son of David?
路20:42 大卫自己在诗篇上说：‘主对我的主说：你坐在我的右边，
路20:42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Take your seat at my right hand,
路20:43 等我使你的仇敌作你的脚凳。’
路20:43 Till I put under your feet all those who are against you.
路20:44 大卫既然称他为主，他又怎会是大卫的子孙呢？”
路20:44 David then gives him the name of Lord, so how is it possible for him to be his son?
路20:45 众人听着的时候，耶稣对门徒说：
路20:45 And in the hearing of all the people he said to his disciples,
路20:46 “你们要提防经学家，他们好穿长袍走来走去，喜欢人在巿中心向他们问安，并且喜欢会堂里的高位、筵席上的首座。
路20:46 Keep away from the scribes, whose pleasure it is to go about in long robes, and to have words of respect said to them in the market-places, and to take the chief seats in the Synagogues and the first places at feasts;
路20:47 他们吞没了寡妇的房产，又用冗长的祷告作掩饰。这等人必受更重的刑罚。”
路20:47 Who take the property of widows and before the eyes of men make long prayers; they will get a greater punishment.
