耶16:1 耶和华的话临到我，说：
耶16:1 Then again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
耶16:2 “在这地方你不可娶妻，不可生儿育女。”
耶16:2 You are not to take a wife for yourself or have sons or daughters in this place.
耶16:3 因为论到这地方出生的儿女，和在这地生养他们的父母，耶和华这样说：
耶16:3 For this is what the Lord has said about the sons and daughters who come to birth in this place, and about their mothers who have given them birth, and about their fathers who have given life to them in this land:
耶16:4 “他们都必死于致命的疫症，没有人为他们哀哭，他们的尸体也没有人埋葬，必在地面上成为粪肥。他们必被刀剑和饥荒所灭，他们的尸体成了空中飞鸟和地上走兽的食物。”
耶16:4 Death from evil diseases will overtake them; there will be no weeping for them and their bodies will not be put to rest; they will be like waste on the face of the earth: the sword and need of food will put an end to them; their dead bodies will be meat for the birds of heaven and for the beasts of the earth.
耶16:5 耶和华这样说：“你不可进入丧家，也不可去为他们哀哭悲伤；因为我已经从这人民身上收回我的平安、慈爱和怜悯。”这是耶和华的宣告。
耶16:5 For this is what the Lord has said: Do not go into the house of sorrow, do not go to make weeping or songs of grief for them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, says the Lord, even mercy and pity.
耶16:6 “尊大的和卑微的都必死在这地；没有人埋葬他们，没有人为他们哀哭，也没有人为他们割伤自己，剃光头发。
耶16:6 Death will overtake great as well as small in the land: their bodies will not be put in a resting-place, and no one will be weeping for them or wounding themselves or cutting off their hair for them:
耶16:7 没有人为哀悼的人擘饼，为死者安慰他们；丧父或丧母的人，都没有人给他们喝一杯安慰酒。
耶16:7 No one will make a feast for them in sorrow, to give them comfort for the dead, or put to their lips the cup of comfort on account of their father or their mother.
耶16:8 你也不可进入欢宴之家，跟他们同坐，一起吃喝。
耶16:8 And you are not to go into the house of feasting, or be seated with them to take food or drink.
耶16:9 因为万军之耶和华以色列的 神这样说：‘看哪！我必在你们眼前，在你们还活着的日子，使欢笑和快乐的声音，新郎和新娘的声音，都从这地方止息了。’”
耶16:9 For the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said, See, before your eyes and in your days I will put an end in this place to the laughing voices and the voice of joy; to the voice of the newly-married man and the voice of the bride.
耶16:10 “你向这人民传讲这一切时，如果他们问你：‘耶和华为什么宣告这一切严重的灾祸对付我们呢？我们有什么罪孽？我们犯了什么罪，得罪了耶和华我们的 神呢？’
耶16:10 And it will be, that when you say all these words to the people, then they will say to you, Why has the Lord done all this evil against us? what is our wrongdoing and what is our sin which we have done against the Lord our God?
耶16:11 你就要回答他们：‘因为你们的列祖离弃了我（这是耶和华的宣告），他们随从别的神，事奉敬拜他们；他们离弃了我，不遵守我的律法。
耶16:11 Then you will say to them, Because your fathers have given me up, says the Lord, and have gone after other gods and become their servants and their worshippers, and have given me up and have not kept my law;
耶16:12 至于你们，你们作坏事比你们的列祖更厉害；看哪！你们各人都随从自己顽梗的恶心行事，不听从我。
耶16:12 And you have done worse evil than your fathers; for see, every one of you is guided by the pride of his evil heart, so as not to give ear to me:
耶16:13 因此，我要把你们从这地赶出去，去到你们和你们列祖所不认识的地；你们在那里必昼夜事奉别的神，因为我不再向你们施恩。’
耶16:13 For this reason I will send you away out of this land into a land which is strange to you, to you and to your fathers; there you will be the servants of other gods day and night, and you will have no mercy from me.
耶16:14 “看哪！日子快到，人必不再指着那领以色列人从埃及地上来的永活的耶和华起誓。”这是耶和华的宣告。
耶16:14 For this cause, see, the days are coming, says the Lord, when it will no longer be said, By the living Lord, who took the children of Israel up out of the land of Egypt.
耶16:15 “他们却要指着那领以色列人从北方之地，从他们被赶逐到的各国上来的永活的耶和华起誓。因我要领他们回到自己的土地，就是我从前赐给他们列祖的。
耶16:15 But, By the living Lord, who took the children of Israel up out of the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had sent them: and I will take them back again to their land which I gave to their fathers.
耶16:16 “看哪！我要差人去叫许多渔夫来，捕捉以色列人；然后我要差人去叫许多猎人来，从各大山、小山和岩石的裂缝里，猎取他们。”这是耶和华的宣告。
耶16:16 See, I will send for great numbers of fishermen, says the Lord, and they will take them like fish in a net; and after that, I will send for numbers of bowmen, and they will go after them, driving them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
耶16:17 “因为我的眼察看他们所行的一切；在我面前这一切都无法隐藏，他们的罪孽不能从我眼前遮掩起来。
耶16:17 For my eyes are on all their ways: there is no cover for them from my face, and their evil-doing is not kept secret from my eyes.
耶16:18 首先我要加倍报应他们的罪孽和罪恶，因为他们用自己那些毫无生气、可憎的偶像（“毫无生气、可憎的偶像”原文作“可憎的偶像的尸体”）玷污了我的土地，他们那些可厌之物充满了我的产业。”
耶16:18 And I will give them the reward of their evil-doing and their sin twice over; because they have made my land unclean, and have made my heritage full of the bodies of their unholy and disgusting things.
耶16:19 耶和华，我的力量、我的堡垒、我遭难时的避难所啊！万国要从地极前来朝见你，说：“我们列祖所承受的只是虚假的偶像，是虚空、一无用处的。
耶16:19 O Lord, my strength and my strong tower, my safe place in the day of trouble, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and say, The heritage of our fathers is nothing but deceit, even false things in which there is no profit.
耶16:20 人岂能为自己制造神呢？其实这些偶像并不是神。”
耶16:20 Will a man make for himself gods which are no gods?
耶16:21 “因此，看哪！我要使他们知道，这一次我必叫他们认识我的手和我的能力，他们就知道我的名是耶和华。”
耶16:21 For this reason, truly, I will make them see, this once I will give them knowledge of my hand and my power; and they will be certain that my name is the Lord.
