耶35:1 在犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬作王的日子，耶和华有话临到耶利米，说：
耶35:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, in the days of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,
耶35:2 “你去见利甲族的人，和他们交谈，领他们进入耶和华殿里的一个房间，给他们酒喝。”
耶35:2 Go into the house of the Rechabites, and have talk with them, and take them into the house of the Lord, into one of the rooms, and give them wine.
耶35:3 于是我把哈巴洗尼雅的孙子、雅利米雅的儿子雅撒尼亚，以及他的兄弟、他的众子和利甲全族的人，
耶35:3 Then I took Jaazaniah, the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brothers and all his sons and all the Rechabites;
耶35:4 都领进耶和华的殿里，进了神人伊基大利的儿子哈难众子的房间；这房间是在众领袖的房间旁边，在沙龙的儿子守卫殿门的玛西雅的房间上面。
耶35:4 And I took them into the house of the Lord, into the room of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the rulers' room, which was over the room of Maaseiah, the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door;
耶35:5 然后我把盛满酒的酒壶和酒杯，摆放在利甲族人的面前，对他们说：“请喝酒！”
耶35:5 And I put before the sons of the Rechabites basins full of wine and cups, and I said to them, Take some wine.
耶35:6 但他们说：“我们不喝酒，因为我们的祖先利甲的儿子约拿达曾吩咐我们说：‘你们和你们的子孙永远都不可喝酒。
耶35:6 But they said, We will take no wine: for Jonadab, the son of Rechab our father, gave us orders, saying, You are to take no wine, you or your sons, for ever:
耶35:7 你们也不可建造房屋，不可撒种，不可栽种或拥有葡萄园；你们一生的日子只可住帐棚，使你们在寄居的地上活得长久。’
耶35:7 And you are to make no houses, or put in seed, or get vine-gardens planted, or have any: but all your days you are to go on living in tents, so that you may have a long life in the land where you are living as in a strange country.
耶35:8 我们的祖先利甲的儿子约拿达吩咐我们的一切话，我们都听从了；我们和我们的妻子儿女，终生都不喝酒，
耶35:8 And we have kept the rules of Jonadab, the son of Rechab our father, in everything which he gave us orders to do, drinking no wine all our days, we and our wives and our sons and our daughters;
耶35:9 不建造房屋居住，也没有葡萄园、田地和种子。
耶35:9 Building no houses for ourselves, having no vine-gardens or fields or seed:
耶35:10 我们只住帐棚；我们听从祖先约拿达吩咐我们的一切话，并且照着去行。
耶35:10 But we have been living in tents, and have done everything which Jonadab our father gave us orders to do.
耶35:11 但是，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上来攻打这地的时候，我们就说：‘来吧！为了迦勒底和亚兰人的军队的缘故，我们到耶路撒冷去。’这样，我们才住在耶路撒冷。”
耶35:11 But when Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, came up into the land, we said, Come, let us go to Jerusalem, away from the army of the Chaldaeans and from the army of the Aramaeans: and so we are living in Jerusalem.
耶35:12 耶和华的话临到耶利米，说：
耶35:12 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
耶35:13 “万军之耶和华以色列的 神这样说：你去对犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民说：‘你们不接受管教，不听我的话吗？’这是耶和华的宣告。
耶35:13 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: Go and say to the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem, Is there no hope of teaching you to give ear to my words? says the Lord.
耶35:14 ‘利甲的儿子约拿达吩咐他的子孙不可喝酒的话，他们已经实行了，他们直到今日都不喝酒，因为他们听从了他们祖先的吩咐。至于我，我不断告诫你们，你们却不听从我。
耶35:14 The orders which Jonadab, the son of Rechab, gave to his sons to take no wine, are done, and to this day they take no wine, for they do the orders of their father: but I have sent my words to you, getting up early and sending them, and you have not given ear to me.
耶35:15 我不断差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，对你们说：你们各人要悔改，离开自己的恶道，改正你们的行为，不可随从事奉别神；这样，你们就可以住在我赐给你们和你们列祖的土地上。只是你们毫不在意，也没有听从我。
耶35:15 And I have sent you all my servants the prophets, getting up early and sending them, saying, Come back, now, every man from his evil way, and do better, and go not after other gods to become their servants, and you will go on living in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but your ears have not been open, and you have not given attention to me.
耶35:16 利甲的儿子约拿达的子孙实行了他们祖先吩咐他们的命令，但这人民没有听从我。’
耶35:16 Though the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have done the orders of their father which he gave them, this people has not given ear to me:
耶35:17 因此，耶和华万军的 神、以色列的 神这样说：‘看哪！我必使我对他们预告过的一切灾祸，临到犹大人和耶路撒冷所有的居民，因为我对他们说话，他们却不听从；我呼唤他们，他们却不回应。’”
耶35:17 For this reason the Lord, the God of armies, the God of Israel, has said, See, I will send on Judah and on all the people of Jerusalem all the evil which I said I would do to them: because I sent my words to them, but they did not give ear; crying out to them, but they gave no answer.
耶35:18 耶利米对利甲族人说：“万军之耶和华以色列的 神这样说：‘因为你们听从了你们祖先约拿达的吩咐，谨守他的一切命令，又照着他吩咐你们的一切去行。’
耶35:18 But to the Rechabites Jeremiah said, This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: Because you have done the orders of Jonadab your father, and have kept his rules, and done everything as he gave you orders to do it;
耶35:19 所以，万军之耶和华以色列的 神这样说：‘利甲的儿子约拿达必永远不断有人在我面前侍立。’”
耶35:19 For this reason the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said, Jonadab, the son of Rechab, will never be without a man to take his place before me.
