耶41:1 但在七月的时候，王裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，也是王的一位大臣，带了十个人和他一起到米斯巴去见亚希甘的儿子基大利；他们在米斯巴一起吃饭的时候，
耶41:1 Now it came about in the seventh month that Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the king's seed, having with him ten men, came to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah; and they had a meal together in Mizpah.
耶41:2 尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的那十个人就起来，用刀袭击沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王指派管理那地的，把他杀掉。
耶41:2 Then Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, got up, and attacking Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, put to death him whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
耶41:3 以实玛利也击杀了所有在米斯巴和基大利一起的犹大人，以及在那里所遇见的迦勒底军兵。
耶41:3 And Ishmael put to death all the Jews who were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldaean men of war.
耶41:4 他杀了基大利以后，没有人知道；第二天，
耶41:4 Now on the second day after he had put Gedaliah to death, when no one had knowledge of it,
耶41:5 有八十个人从示剑、示罗和撒玛利亚前来，胡须剃去，衣服撕裂，身体割破，手里拿着素祭和乳香，要带到耶和华的殿里去。
耶41:5 Some people came from Shechem, from Shiloh and Samaria, eighty men, with the hair of their faces cut off and their clothing out of order, and with cuts on their bodies, and in their hands meal offerings and perfumes which they were taking to the house of the Lord.
耶41:6 尼探雅的儿子以实玛利从米斯巴出来迎接他们，边走边哭，遇见了他们，就对他们说：“请你们来见亚希甘的儿子基大利！”
耶41:6 And Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, went out from Mizpah with the purpose of meeting them, weeping on his way: and it came about that when he was face to face with them he said, Come to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam.
耶41:7 他们到了城中，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的人，就把他们杀了，扔在坑里。
耶41:7 And when they came inside the town, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the men who were with him, put them to death and put their bodies into a deep hole.
耶41:8 只是他们中间有十个人却对以实玛利说：“请不要杀死我们！因为我们有许多小麦、大麦、油和蜜，埋藏在田间。”他就住了手，没有把这十个人在他们的兄弟中一同杀死。
耶41:8 But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, Do not put us to death, for we have secret stores, in the country, of grain and oil and honey. So he did not put them to death with their countrymen.
耶41:9 以实玛利把他们所击杀的人的尸体全部扔在坑里（他杀这些人是因为基大利的缘故）；这坑是从前亚撒王为了防御以色列王巴沙而挖掘的。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利用那些被杀的人的尸体填满了那坑。
耶41:9 Now the hole into which Ishmael had put the dead bodies of the men whom he had put to death, was the great hole which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha, king of Israel: and Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, made it full of the bodies of those who had been put to death.
耶41:10 以实玛利还掳去所有留在米斯巴的余民，包括王的众公主和所有留在米斯巴的人民；这些人都是护卫长尼布撒拉旦交给亚希甘的儿子基大利管理的。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利把他们掳走，往亚扪那里去。
耶41:10 Then Ishmael took away as prisoners all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people still in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had put under the care of Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam: Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, took them away prisoners with the purpose of going over to the children of Ammon.
耶41:11 加利亚的儿子约哈难和与他一起的众将领，听见了尼探雅的儿子以实玛利所行的一切恶事，
耶41:11 But when Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the armed forces who were with him, had news of all the evil which Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had done,
耶41:12 就率领所有的人，去攻打尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，在基遍的大水池边追上他。
耶41:12 They took their men and went out to make war on Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and they came face to face with him by the great waters in Gibeon.
耶41:13 在以实玛利那里的众民，看见了加利亚的儿子约哈难和与他一起的众将领，就都欢喜。
耶41:13 Now when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces with him, then they were glad.
耶41:14 于是以实玛利从米斯巴掳去的众民都转身，归到加利亚的儿子约哈难那里。
耶41:14 And all the people whom Ishmael had taken away prisoners from Mizpah, turning round, came back and went to Johanan, the son of Kareah.
耶41:15 尼探雅的儿子以实玛利带着八个人逃脱了约哈难的手，到亚扪那里去。
耶41:15 But Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, got away from Johanan, with eight men, and went to the children of Ammon.
耶41:16 加利亚的儿子约哈难和与他一起的众将领，就夺回了全部余民，包括军兵、妇女、孩童和宫中的臣宰，就是尼探雅的儿子以实玛利在刺杀亚希甘的儿子基大利以后，从米斯巴掳走的。约哈难把这些人都从基遍带回来。
耶41:16 Then Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, took all the rest of the people whom Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had made prisoners, after he had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the people from Mizpah, that is, the men of war and the women and the children and the unsexed servants, whom he had taken back with him from Gibeon:
耶41:17 他们去到伯利恒附近的基罗特金罕，停留在那里，想要往埃及去，
耶41:17 And they went and were living in the resting-place of Chimham, which is near Beth-lehem on the way into Egypt,
耶41:18 躲避迦勒底人。他们惧怕迦勒底人，因为尼探雅的儿子以实玛利杀了巴比伦王指派管理那地的亚希甘的儿子基大利。
耶41:18 Because of the Chaldaeans: for they were in fear of them because Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
