耶45:1 以下是犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬第四年，耶利米先知对尼利亚的儿子巴录所说的话（巴录从耶利米口中把这些话写在书卷上）：
耶45:1 The words which Jeremiah the prophet said to Baruch, the son of Neriah, when he put these words down in a book from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah; he said,
耶45:2 “巴录啊！耶和华以色列的 神这样说：
耶45:2 This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, has said of you, O Baruch:
耶45:3 ‘你曾说：我有祸了！因为耶和华在我的痛苦上加添忧愁。我因唉哼而困乏，得不着安宁。’”
耶45:3 You said, Sorrow is mine! for the Lord has given me sorrow in addition to my pain; I am tired with the sound of my sorrow, and I get no rest.
耶45:4 耶和华对耶利米说：“你要这样对他说：‘耶和华这样说：看哪！我所建立的，我必拆毁；我所栽种的，我必拔除。我必这样对待全地。
耶45:4 This is what you are to say to him: The Lord has said, Truly, the building which I put up will be broken down, and that which was planted by me will be uprooted, and this through all the land;
耶45:5 你要为自己图谋大事吗？不要图谋！看哪！我必使灾祸降在全人类身上，但无论你到什么地方去，我必使你捡回自己的性命。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
耶45:5 And as for you, are you looking for great things for yourself? Have no desire for them: for truly I will send evil on all flesh, says the Lord: but your life I will keep safe from attack wherever you go.
