徒21:1 我们离别了他们以后，船就直航到了哥士，第二天到罗底，从那里开往帕大拉；
徒21:1 And after parting from them, we put out to sea and came straight to Cos, and the day after to Rhodes, and from there to Patara:
徒21:2 遇见了一艘开往腓尼基的船，就上船起行。
徒21:2 And as there was a ship going to Phoenicia, we went in it.
徒21:3 我们远远看见塞浦路斯，就从南边驶过，直航叙利亚，在推罗靠了岸，因为船要在那里卸货。
徒21:3 And when we had come in view of Cyprus, going past it on our left, we went on to Syria, and came to land at Tyre: for there the goods which were in the ship had to be taken out.
徒21:4 我们找到了一些门徒，就在那里住了七天。他们凭着圣灵的指示告诉保罗不要上耶路撒冷去。
徒21:4 And meeting the disciples we were there for seven days: and they gave Paul orders through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.
徒21:5 过了这几天，我们就启程前行，他们众人带着妻子儿女送我们到城外。我们跪在海滩上祷告，互相道别。
徒21:5 And when these days came to an end, we went on our journey; and they all, with their wives and children, came with us on our way till we were out of the town: and after going on our knees in prayer by the sea,
徒21:6 我们上了船，他们就回家去了。
徒21:6 We said our last words to one another, and got into the ship, and they went back to their houses.
徒21:7 我们从推罗继续航行，到了多利买，问候那里的弟兄，与他们同住了一天。
徒21:7 And journeying by ship from Tyre we came to Ptolemais; and there we had talk with the brothers and were with them for one day.
徒21:8 第二天我们离开那里，来到该撒利亚，到了传福音的腓利家里，与他住在一起。他是那七位执事中的一位。
徒21:8 And on the day after, we went away and came to Caesarea, where we were guests in the house of Philip, the preacher, who was one of the seven.
徒21:9 他有四个女儿，都是童女，是会说预言的。
徒21:9 And he had four daughters, virgins, who were prophets.
徒21:10 我们住了几天之后，有一位先知，名叫亚迦布，从犹太下来。
徒21:10 And while we were waiting there for some days, a certain prophet, named Agabus, came down from Judaea.
徒21:11 他来见我们，把保罗的腰带拿过来，绑住自己的手脚，说：“圣灵说，犹太人在耶路撒冷要这样捆绑这腰带的主人，把他交在外族人的手里。”
徒21:11 And he came to us, and took the band of Paul's clothing, and putting it round his feet and hands, said, The Holy Spirit says these words, So will the Jews do to the man who is the owner of this band, and they will give him up into the hands of the Gentiles.
徒21:12 我们听了这些话，就和当地的人劝保罗不要去耶路撒冷。
徒21:12 And hearing these things, we and those who were living in that place made request to him not to go to Jerusalem.
徒21:13 保罗却回答：“你们为什么哭，使我心碎呢？我为主耶稣的名，不但被捆绑，就算死在耶路撒冷我也都准备好了。”
徒21:13 Then Paul said, What are you doing, weeping and wounding my heart? for I am ready, not only to be a prisoner, but to be put to death at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
徒21:14 他既然不听劝，我们只说了“愿主的旨意成就”，就不出声了。
徒21:14 And as he might not be moved we did no more, saying, Let the purpose of God be done.
徒21:15 过了几天，我们收拾行装，上耶路撒冷去。
徒21:15 And after these days we got ready and went up to Jerusalem.
徒21:16 有该撒利亚的几个门徒同我们在一起，领我们到一个塞浦路斯人拿孙家里住宿；他作了门徒已经很久了。
徒21:16 And some of the disciples from Caesarea went with us, taking a certain Mnason of Cyprus, one of the early disciples, in whose house we were to be living.
徒21:17 我们到了耶路撒冷，弟兄们欢欢喜喜接待我们。
徒21:17 And when we came to Jerusalem, the brothers were pleased to see us.
徒21:18 第二天，保罗和我们一同去见雅各，长老们也都在座。
徒21:18 And on the day after, Paul went with us to James, and all the rulers of the church were present.
徒21:19 保罗问候了他们，就把 神借着他的工作在外族人中所行的事，一一述说出来。
徒21:19 And when he had said how glad he was to see them, he gave them a detailed account of the things which God had done through his work among the Gentiles.
徒21:20 他们听了，就赞美 神，对保罗说：“弟兄，你看，犹太人中信主的有好几万，都是对律法很热心的人。
徒21:20 And hearing it, they gave praise to God; and they said to him, You see, brother, what thousands there are among the Jews, who have the faith; and they all have a great respect for the law:
徒21:21 他们听说，你教导所有在外族人中的犹太人背弃摩西，叫他们不要给孩子行割礼，也不要遵守规例。
徒21:21 And they have had news of you, how you have been teaching all the Jews among the Gentiles to give up the law of Moses, and not to give circumcision to their children, and not to keep the old rules.
徒21:22 他们总会听见你来了，那怎么办呢？
徒21:22 What then is the position? They will certainly get news that you have come.
徒21:23 你就照我们的话作吧，我们这里有四个人，都有愿在身。
徒21:23 Do this, then, which we say to you: We have four men who have taken an oath;
徒21:24 你把他们带去，和他们一同行洁净礼，并且替他们付钱，让他们剃去头发，这样大家就知道以前所听见关于你的事，都不是真实的，也知道你是遵守律法循规蹈矩而行的人。
徒21:24 Go with these, and make yourself clean with them, and make the necessary payments for them, so that they may be free from their oath: and everyone will see that the statements made about you are not true, but that you put yourself under rule, and keep the law.
徒21:25 至于信主的外族人，我们已经写了信，吩咐他们要禁戒祭偶像的食物、血、勒死的牲畜和淫乱。”
徒21:25 But as to the Gentiles who have the faith, we sent a letter, giving our decision that they were to keep themselves from offerings made to false gods, and from blood, and from the flesh of animals put to death in ways against the law, and from the evil desires of the body.
徒21:26 保罗就把那几个人带走了，第二天和他们一同行了洁净礼。他们进了殿，报明了他们洁净期满的日子，以及各人献祭的时间。
徒21:26 Then Paul took the men, and on the day after, making himself clean with them, he went into the Temple, giving out the statement that the days necessary for making them clean were complete, till the offering was made for every one of them.
徒21:27 七日将完的时候，从亚西亚来的犹太人看见保罗在殿里，就煽动群众，并且捉住他，
徒21:27 And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, seeing him in the Temple, got the people together and put their hands on him,
徒21:28 喊叫着说：“以色列人哪，快来帮忙！这个人到处教人反对人民，反对律法和这个地方，他甚至把希腊人也带进殿里，污秽了这圣地。”
徒21:28 Crying out, Men of Israel, come to our help: this is the man who is teaching all men everywhere against the people and the law and this place: and in addition, he has taken Greeks into the Temple, and made this holy place unclean.
徒21:29 原来他们看见过以弗所人特罗非摩同保罗在城里，就以为保罗带他进了殿。
徒21:29 For they had seen him before in the town with Trophimus of Ephesus, and had the idea that Paul had taken him with him into the Temple.
徒21:30 于是全城震动，民众一齐跑来，捉住保罗，拉出殿外，殿门就立刻关起来了。
徒21:30 And all the town was moved, and the people came running together and put their hands on Paul, pulling him out of the Temple: and then the doors were shut.
徒21:31 他们正想杀他的时候，有人报告营部的千夫长，说：“整个耶路撒冷都乱了！”
徒21:31 And while they were attempting to put him to death, news came to the chief captain of the band that all Jerusalem was out of control.
徒21:32 千夫长立刻带着士兵和百夫长跑到他们那里。众人一看见千夫长和士兵，就停止殴打保罗。
徒21:32 And straight away he took some armed men and went quickly down to them: and the Jews, seeing them, gave no more blows to Paul.
徒21:33 于是千夫长上前捉住保罗，吩咐人用两条铁链捆住他，问他是什么人，作过什么事。
徒21:33 Then the chief captain came near and took him, and gave orders for him to be put in chains, questioning them as to who he was and what he had done.
徒21:34 那时众人叫这个喊那个，吵吵闹闹，以致千夫长没有办法知道真相，只好下令把保罗带到营楼去。
徒21:34 And some said one thing and some another, among the people: and as he was not able to get a knowledge of the facts because of the noise, he gave orders for Paul to be taken into the army building.
徒21:35 保罗到了台阶下面的时候，士兵把他抬起来，因为群众猛挤，
徒21:35 And when he came on to the steps, he was lifted up by the armed men, because of the force of the people;
徒21:36 而且有一群人跟在后面叫喊：“干掉他！”
徒21:36 For a great mass of people came after them, crying out, Away with him!
徒21:37 他们带着保罗快到营楼的时候，保罗对千夫长说：“我可以跟你讲一句话吗？”千夫长说：“你懂希腊话吗？
徒21:37 And when Paul was about to be taken into the building, he said to the chief captain, May I say something to you? And he said, Have you a knowledge of Greek?
徒21:38 难道你不就是不久以前作乱的、带领四千个杀手到旷野去的那个埃及人吗？”
徒21:38 Are you by chance the Egyptian who, before this, got the people worked up against the government and took four thousand men of the Assassins out into the waste land?
徒21:39 保罗说：“我是犹太人，是基利家的大数人，并不是无名小城的公民，求你准我向民众讲几句话。”
徒21:39 But Paul said, I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, which is not an unimportant town: I make a request to you to let me say a word to the people.
徒21:40 千夫长准许了他，保罗就站在台阶上，向民众作了一个手势。大家安静下来了，保罗就用希伯来语讲话，说：
徒21:40 And when he let him do so, Paul, from the steps, made a sign with his hand to the people, and when they were all quiet, he said to them in the Hebrew language,
