太8:1 耶稣下了山，许多人跟随着他。
太8:1 And when he had come down from the mountain, great numbers of people came after him.
太8:2 有一个患痲风的人前来向他跪拜，说：“主啊！如果你肯，必能使我洁净。”
太8:2 And a leper came and gave him worship, saying, Lord, if it is your pleasure, you have power to make me clean.
太8:3 耶稣伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！”他的痲风立刻洁净了。
太8:3 And he put his hand on him, saying, It is my pleasure; be clean. And straight away he was made clean.
太8:4 耶稣对他说：“你千万不可告诉别人，只要去给祭司检查，并且照着摩西所规定的献上供物，好向大家作证。”
太8:4 And Jesus said to him, See that you say nothing about this to anyone; but go and let the priest see you and make the offering which was ordered by Moses, for a witness to them.
太8:5 耶稣到了迦百农，有一个百夫长前来恳求他，
太8:5 And when Jesus was come into Capernaum, a certain captain came to him with a request,
太8:6 说：“主啊！我的仆人瘫痪了，躺在家里非常痛苦。”
太8:6 Saying, Lord, my servant is ill in bed at the house, with no power in his body, and in great pain.
太8:7 耶稣对他说：“我去医治他。”
太8:7 And he said to him, I will come and make him well.
太8:8 百夫长回答：“主啊，要你到舍下来，实在不敢当。只要你说一句话，我的仆人就必好了。
太8:8 And the captain in answer said, Lord, I am not good enough for you to come under my roof; but only say the word, and my servant will be made well.
太8:9 我自己是在别人的权下，也有兵在我以下；我对这个说‘去！’他就去，对另一个说‘来！’他就来；对仆人说‘作这个！’他就作。”
太8:9 Because I myself am a man under authority, having under me fighting men; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
太8:10 耶稣听了，就很惊奇，对跟随的人说：“我实在告诉你们，这样的信心，我在以色列中从来没有见过。
太8:10 And when these words came to the ears of Jesus he was surprised, and said to those who came after him, Truly I say to you, I have not seen such great faith, no, not in Israel.
太8:11 我告诉你们，必有许多人从东从西来到，和亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各在天国里一起吃饭。
太8:11 And I say to you that numbers will come from the east and the west, and will take their seats with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:
太8:12 但本来要承受天国的人，反被丢在外面黑暗里，在那里必要哀哭切齿。”
太8:12 But the sons of the kingdom will be put out into the dark, and there will be weeping and cries of pain.
太8:13 于是耶稣对百夫长说：“回去吧！事情必照你所信的给你成就。”他的仆人就在那时痊愈了。
太8:13 And Jesus said to the captain, Go in peace; as your faith is, so let it be done to you. And the servant was made well in that hour.
太8:14 耶稣来到彼得家里，看见他的岳母发烧，病在床上。
太8:14 And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother in bed, very ill.
太8:15 耶稣一摸她的手，热就退了；她就起来服事耶稣。
太8:15 And he put his hand on hers and the disease went from her, and she got up and took care of his needs.
太8:16 到了黄昏，有些人带了许多被鬼附的人来见耶稣，他只用一句话就把污灵赶出去，并且医好了所有患病的人。
太8:16 And in the evening, they took to him a number of people who had evil spirits; and he sent the spirits out of them with a word, and made well all who were ill;
太8:17 这样正应验了以赛亚先知所说的：“他亲自除去我们的软弱，担当我们的疾病。”
太8:17 So that the word of Isaiah the prophet might come true: He himself took our pains and our diseases.
太8:18 耶稣看见许多人围着他，就吩咐往对岸去。
太8:18 Now when Jesus saw a great mass of people about him, he gave an order to go to the other side.
太8:19 有一位经学家前来对他说：“老师，你无论往哪里去，我都要跟从你！”
太8:19 And there came a scribe and said to him, Master, I will come after you wherever you go.
太8:20 耶稣回答：“狐狸有洞，天空的飞鸟有窝，但人子却没有栖身（“栖身”原文作“枕头”）的地方。”
太8:20 And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven have a resting-place; but the Son of man has nowhere to put his head.
太8:21 另一个门徒对他说：“主啊！请准我先回去安葬我的父亲吧。”
太8:21 And another of the disciples said to him, Lord, let me first go and give the last honours to my father.
太8:22 耶稣对他说：“跟从我吧！让死人去埋葬他们的死人。”
太8:22 But Jesus said to him, Come after me; and let the dead take care of their dead.
太8:23 耶稣上了船，门徒跟着他。
太8:23 And when he had got into a boat, his disciples went after him.
太8:24 忽然海上起了狂风，甚至船都被波涛掩盖，但耶稣却睡着了。
太8:24 And there came up a great storm in the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves: but he was sleeping.
太8:25 他们走来把他叫醒，说：“主啊！救命啊！我们没命了！”
太8:25 And they came to him, and, awaking him, said, Help, Lord; destruction is near.
太8:26 耶稣却对他们说：“小信的人哪！为什么害怕呢？”他就起来斥责风和海，风浪就平静了。
太8:26 And he said to them, Why are you full of fear, O you of little faith? Then he got up and gave orders to the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
太8:27 众人都惊奇，说：“这是什么人，连风和海也听从他？”
太8:27 And the men were full of wonder, saying, What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea do his orders?
太8:28 耶稣过到对岸加大拉人的地区，遇见两个被鬼附着的人从墓地出来；他们十分凶暴，甚至没有人敢从那条路经过。
太8:28 And when he had come to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, there came out to him from the place of the dead, two who had evil spirits, so violent that no man was able to go that way.
太8:29 他们喊叫：“ 神的儿子，我们跟你有什么关系呢？时候还没有到，你就来这里叫我们受苦吗？”
太8:29 And they gave a loud cry, saying, What have we to do with you, you Son of God? Have you come here to give us punishment before the time?
太8:30 那时远远有一大群猪正在吃东西。
太8:30 Now there was, some distance away, a great herd of pigs taking their food.
太8:31 那些鬼就求耶稣，说：“如果要赶我们出来，就准我们进到猪群里去吧。”
太8:31 And the evil spirits made strong prayers to him, saying, If you send us out, let us go into the herd of pigs.
太8:32 耶稣对他们说：“出去吧！”他们就出来，进了猪群。那一群猪忽然闯下山崖，掉在海里淹死了。
太8:32 And he said to them, Go. And they came out, and went into the pigs; and the herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea and came to their end in the water.
太8:33 放猪的人逃进城里，把被鬼附的人的遭遇和一切事情，都报告出来。
太8:33 And their keepers went in flight to the town and gave an account of everything, and of the men who had the evil spirits.
太8:34 全城的居民都出来要见耶稣，看见了他，就求他离开他们的地区。
太8:34 And all the town came out to Jesus; and seeing him they made request that he would go away from their part of the country.
