太20:1 “天国好像一个家主，清早出去雇请工人到他的葡萄园工作。
太20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a house, who went out early in the morning to get workers into his vine-garden.
太20:2 他和工人讲定了一天的工钱是一个银币，然后派他们到葡萄园去。
太20:2 And when he had made an agreement with the workmen for a penny a day, he sent them into his vine-garden.
太20:3 大约九点钟，他又出去，看见还有人闲站在街市上，
太20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others in the market-place doing nothing;
太20:4 就对他们说：‘你们也到葡萄园来吧，我会给你们合理的工钱。’
太20:4 And he said to them, Go into the vine-garden with the others, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went to work.
太20:5 他们就去了。约在正午和下午三点钟，他又出去，也是这样作。
太20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same.
太20:6 下午五点钟左右，他再出去，看见还有人站着，就问他们：‘你们为什么整天站在这里不去作工？’
太20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and saw others doing nothing; and he says to them, Why are you here all the day doing nothing?
太20:7 他们回答：‘没有人用我们。’他说：‘你们也到葡萄园来吧。’
太20:7 They say to him, Because no man has given us work. He says to them, Go in with the rest, into the vine-garden.
太20:8 到了黄昏，园主对管工说：‘把工人叫来，给他们工钱，从最后的开始，到最先来的。’
太20:8 And when evening came, the lord of the vine-garden said to his manager, Let the workers come, and give them their payment, from the last to the first.
太20:9 那些下午五点钟才开始作工的人来了，每个人都领到一个银币。
太20:9 And when those men came who had gone to work at the eleventh hour, they were given every man a penny.
太20:10 最先作工的人也来了，以为会多得一点，但每个人也是领到一个银币。
太20:10 Then those who came first had the idea that they would get more; and they, like the rest, were given a penny.
太20:11 他们领到之后，就埋怨家主，说：
太20:11 And when they got it, they made a protest against the master of the house,
太20:12 ‘我们整天在烈日之下劳苦，这些后来的人只工作了一个小时，你却给他们跟我们一样的工钱。’
太20:12 Saying, These last have done only one hour's work, and you have made them equal to us, who have undergone the hard work of the day and the burning heat.
太20:13 家主回答他们当中的一个，说：‘朋友，我并没有亏待你。你我不是讲定了一个银币吗？
太20:13 But he in answer said to one of them, Friend, I do you no wrong: did you not make an agreement with me for a penny?
太20:14 拿你的工钱走吧！我给那后来的和给你的一样，是我的主意。
太20:14 Take what is yours, and go away; it is my pleasure to give to this last, even as to you.
太20:15 难道我不可以照自己的主意用我的财物吗？还是因为我仁慈你就嫉妒呢？’
太20:15 Have I not the right to do as seems good to me in my house? or is your eye evil, because I am good?
太20:16 因此，在后的将要在前，在前的将要在后。”
太20:16 So the last will be first, and the first last.
太20:17 耶稣上耶路撒冷去的时候，把十二门徒带到一边，对他们说：
太20:17 And when Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples on one side, and said to them,
太20:18 “我们现在上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交给祭司长和经学家，他们要定他死罪，
太20:18 See, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be given into the hands of the chief priests and scribes; and they will give orders for him to be put to death,
太20:19 把他交给外族人凌辱、鞭打，并且钉在十字架上。然而第三天他要复活。”
太20:19 And will give him up to the Gentiles to be made sport of and to be whipped and to be put to death on the cross: and the third day he will come back again from the dead.
太20:20 那时，西庇太的儿子的母亲，带着她的两个儿子前来见耶稣。她跪在耶稣面前求他。
太20:20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, giving him worship and making a request of him.
太20:21 耶稣问她：“你想要什么？”她说：“求你下令，使我这两个儿子在你的国里，一个坐在你的右边，一个坐在你的左边。”
太20:21 And he said to her, What is your desire? She says to him, Let my two sons be seated, the one at your right hand, and the other at your left, in your kingdom.
太20:22 耶稣回答：“你们不知道你们求的是什么。我将要喝的杯，你们能喝吗？”他们说：“能。”
太20:22 But Jesus made answer and said, You have no idea what you are requesting. Are you able to take of the cup which I am about to take?
太20:23 他对他们说：“我的杯你们固然要喝，只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以赐的；我父预备赐给谁，就赐给谁。”
太20:23 They say to him, We are able. He says to them, Truly, you will take of my cup: but to be seated at my right hand and at my left is not for me to give, but it is for those for whom my Father has made it ready.
太20:24 其他十个门徒听见了，就向他们兄弟二人生气。
太20:24 And when it came to the ears of the ten, they were angry with the two brothers.
太20:25 耶稣把他们叫过来，说：“你们知道各国都有元首统治他们，也有官长管辖他们。
太20:25 But Jesus said to them, You see that the rulers of the Gentiles are lords over them, and their great ones have authority over them.
太20:26 但你们中间却不要这样；谁想在你们中间成为大的，就要作你们的仆役；
太20:26 Let it not be so among you: but if anyone has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant;
太20:27 谁想在你们中间为首的，就要作你们的奴仆。
太20:27 And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him take the lowest place:
太20:28 正如人子来，不是要受人的服事，而是要服事人，并且要舍命，作许多人的赎价。”
太20:28 Even as the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to give his life for the salvation of men.
太20:29 他们从耶利哥出来的时候，有许多人跟着耶稣。
太20:29 And when they were going out from Jericho, a great number went after him.
太20:30 有两个瞎眼的人坐在路旁，听说耶稣经过，就喊叫：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！”
太20:30 And two blind men seated by the wayside, when they had the news that Jesus was going by, gave a loud cry, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
太20:31 群众责备他们，叫他们不要出声，他们却更加放声喊叫：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！”
太20:31 And the people gave them orders to be quiet; but they went on crying even louder, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
太20:32 耶稣就站住，叫他们过来，说：“要我为你们作什么呢？”
太20:32 And Jesus, stopping, sent for them, and said, What would you have me do to you?
太20:33 他们说：“主啊，求你开我们的眼睛。”
太20:33 They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be open.
太20:34 耶稣就怜悯他们，摸他们的眼睛。他们立刻能看见，就跟从了耶稣。
太20:34 And Jesus, being moved with pity, put his fingers on their eyes: and straight away they were able to see, and went after him.
