民21:1 住在南地的迦南人亚拉得王，听说以色列人从亚他林路来，就与以色列人交战，掳了他们几个人。
民21:1 And it came to the ears of the Canaanite, the king of Arad, living in the South, that Israel was coming by the way of Atharim, and he came out against them and took some of them prisoners.
民21:2 于是以色列人向耶和华许愿，说：“如果你把这民交在我手里，我就必把他们的城尽行毁灭。”
民21:2 Then Israel made an oath to the Lord, and said, If you will give up this people into my hands, then I will send complete destruction on all their towns.
民21:3 耶和华听了以色列人的祈求，就把迦南人交给他们，于是他们把迦南人和他们的城尽行毁灭；那地方的名就叫何珥玛。
民21:3 And the Lord, in answer to the voice of Israel, gave the Canaanites up to them; and they put them and their towns completely to destruction: and that place was named Hormah.
民21:4 他们从何珥山沿着到红海的路起行，要绕过以东地；众民因为这条路，心里烦躁，
民21:4 Then they went on from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, going round the land of Edom: and the spirit of the people was overcome with weariness on the way.
民21:5 就反抗 神和摩西，说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及领上来，使我们死在旷野呢？这里没有粮食，又没有水，我们的心厌恶这淡薄的食物。”
民21:5 And crying out against God and against Moses, they said, Why have you taken us out of Egypt to come to our death in the waste land? For there is no bread and no water, and this poor bread is disgusting to us.
民21:6 于是耶和华打发火蛇进入人民中间；蛇咬他们，许多以色列人就死了。
民21:6 Then the Lord sent poison-snakes among the people; and their bites were a cause of death to numbers of the people of Israel.
民21:7 人民来见摩西，说：“我们有罪了，因为我们出恶言攻击耶和华和你；求你向耶和华祷告，叫这些蛇离开我们。”于是摩西为众人祷告。
民21:7 Then the people came to Moses and said, We have done wrong in crying out against the Lord and against you: make prayer to the Lord to take away the snakes from us. So Moses made prayer for the people.
民21:8 耶和华对摩西说：“你要做一条火蛇，挂在杆上；被咬的，一看这蛇，就必得存活。”
民21:8 And the Lord said to Moses, Make an image of a snake and put it on a rod, and anyone who has been wounded by the snakes, looking on it will be made well.
民21:9 摩西就做了一条铜蛇，挂在杆上；被蛇咬了的人，一望这铜蛇，就活了。
民21:9 So Moses made a snake of brass and put it on a rod; and anyone who had a snakebite, after looking on the snake of brass, was made well.
民21:10 以色列人又起行，在阿伯安营。
民21:10 Then the children of Israel went on and put up their tents in Oboth.
民21:11 再从阿伯起行，在以耶．亚巴琳安营，就是摩押对面的旷野，向日出之地。
民21:11 And journeying on again from Oboth, they put up their tents in Iye-abarim, in the waste land before Moab looking east.
民21:12 他们又从那里起行，在撒烈谷安营。
民21:12 And moving on from there, they put up their tents in the valley of Zered.
民21:13 又从那里起行，在亚嫩河那边安营；这亚嫩河是在旷野，从亚摩利人的境内流出来；原来亚嫩河就是摩押的边界，在摩押与亚摩利人之间。
民21:13 From there they went on and put up their tents on the other side of the Arnon, which is on the waste land at the edge of the land of the Amorites; for the Arnon is the line of division between Moab and the Amorites:
民21:14 因此，在耶和华的战书上记着：“在苏法的哇哈伯，和亚嫩河的河谷，
民21:14 As it says in the book of the Wars of the Lord, Vaheb in Suphah, and the valley of the Amon;
民21:15 以及河谷的斜坡，这斜坡伸展到亚珥城的地方，就是靠近摩押边境的。”
民21:15 The slope of the valleys going down to the tents of Ar and touching the edge of Moab.
民21:16 以色列人又从那里到了比珥（“比珥”意即“井”）；从前耶和华对摩西说：“你要聚集众民，我好把水给他们喝”，说的就是这个井。
民21:16 From there they went on to Beer, the water-spring of which the Lord said to Moses, Make the people come together and I will give them water.
民21:17 那时，以色列人就唱了这首歌，说：“井啊，涌上水来。你们要向这井歌唱。
民21:17 Then Israel gave voice to this song: Come up, O water-spring, let us make a song to it:
民21:18 这井是领袖挖掘的，是民间的尊贵人，用圭用杖挖掘的。”以色列人从旷野到了玛他拿，
民21:18 The fountain made by the chiefs, made deep by the great ones of the people, with the law-givers' rod, and with their sticks. Then from the waste land they went on to Mattanah:
民21:19 从玛他拿到拿哈列，从拿哈列到巴末，
民21:19 And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:
民21:20 从巴末到摩押地的谷，又到了俯瞰荒野的毗斯迦山顶。
民21:20 And from Bamoth to the valley in the open country of Moab, and to the top of Pisgah looking over Jeshimon.
民21:21 以色列人派使者去见亚摩利人的王西宏说：
民21:21 And Israel sent men to Sihon, king of the Amorites, saying,
民21:22 “求你容我们从你的地经过；我们不偏入田间和葡萄园，也不喝井里的水；我们只走大路，直到过了你的境界。”
民21:22 Let me go through your land: we will not go into field or vine-garden, or take the water of the springs; we will go by the highway till we have gone past the limits of your land.
民21:23 西宏不容以色列人从他的境界经过，反而聚集了自己的人民，出到旷野去攻击以色列人，西宏到了雅杂，与以色列人交战。
民21:23 And Sihon would not let Israel go through his land; but got all his people together and went out against Israel into the waste land, as far as Jahaz, to make war on Israel.
民21:24 以色列人用刀击杀了他，占领了他的地，从亚嫩河到雅博河，直到亚扪人那里，因为雅谢是亚扪人的边界。
民21:24 But Israel overcame him, and took all his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the country of the children of Ammon, for the country of the children of Ammon was strongly armed.
民21:25 以色列人夺取了这一切城，也住在亚摩利人的各城，就是希实本，与属于希实本的一切村庄。
民21:25 And Israel took all their towns, living in Heshbon and all the towns and small places of the Amorites.
民21:26 这希实本是亚摩利人的王西宏的京城；西宏曾经与摩押以前的王交战，从他手中夺去了所有的地，直到亚嫩河。
民21:26 For Heshbon was the town of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who had made war against an earlier king of Moab and taken from him all his land as far as the Arnon.
民21:27 因此诗人说：“你们来到希实本！愿西宏的城被重建，愿西宏的城坚立。
民21:27 So the makers of wise sayings say, Come to Heshbon, building up the town of Sihon and making it strong:
民21:28 因为有火从希实本发出，有火焰从西宏的城冒出，吞灭了摩押的亚珥，烧毁了亚嫩河的高冈。
民21:28 For a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the town of Sihon: for the destruction of Ar in Moab, and the lords of the high places of the Arnon.
民21:29 摩押啊，你有祸了，基抹的民哪，你们灭亡了；基抹使自己的男子逃亡，使自己的女子被掳，交给了亚摩利人的王西宏。
民21:29 Sorrow is yours, O Moab! Destruction is your fate, O people of Chemosh: his sons have gone in flight, and his daughters are prisoners, in the hands of Sihon, king of the Amorites.
民21:30 我们射击他们，希实本就毁灭，直到底本。我们使地荒凉，直到挪法，挪法直伸到米底巴。”
民21:30 They are wounded with our arrows; destruction has come on Heshbon, even to Dibon; and we have made the land waste as far as Nophah, stretching out to Medeba.
民21:31 这样，以色列人就住在亚摩利人的地。
民21:31 So Israel put up their tents in the land of the Amorites.
民21:32 摩西派人去窥探雅谢，以色列人就占领了雅谢的村镇，把那里的亚摩利人赶走。
民21:32 And Moses sent men secretly to Jazer, and they took its towns, driving out the Amorites who were living there.
民21:33 以色列人回头，沿着到巴珊的路上走；巴珊王噩和他的众民都出来迎着以色列人，在以得来与他们交战。
民21:33 Then turning they went up by the way of Bashan; and Og, king of Bashan, went out against them with all his people, to the fight at Edrei.
民21:34 耶和华对摩西说：“不要怕他，因为我已经把他和他的众民，以及他的地都交在你手里；你要待他，像从前待那住在希实本的亚摩利人的王西宏一样。”
民21:34 And the Lord said to Moses, Have no fear of him: for I have given him up into your hands, with all his people and his land; do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, at Heshbon.
民21:35 于是，他们杀了噩和他的儿子，以及他的众民，没有留下一个，就占领了他的地。
民21:35 So they overcame him and his sons and his people, driving them all out: and they took his land for their heritage.
