民35:1 耶和华在耶利哥对面，约旦河边的摩押平原，对摩西说：
民35:1 And the Lord said to Moses in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho,
民35:2 “你要吩咐以色列人，叫他们从所得为业的地中，把一些城给利未人居住，也把这些城周围的郊区给利未人。
民35:2 Give orders to the children of Israel to give to the Levites, from the heritage which is theirs, towns for themselves, with land on the outskirts of the towns.
民35:3 这些城要归他们居住，城的郊区可以牧放他们的牛羊和一切牲畜，也可以存放他们的财物。
民35:3 These towns are to be their living-places, with land round them for their cattle and their food and all their beasts,
民35:4 “你们给利未人的城郊，要从城墙起，周围向外量四百五十公尺。
民35:4 Stretching from the wall of the towns a distance of a thousand cubits all round.
民35:5 你们又要从城外，向东面量九百公尺，向南面量九百公尺，向西面量九百公尺，向北面量九百公尺，城在中间；这要归给他们作城外的郊区。
民35:5 The measure of this space of land is to be two thousand cubits outside the town on the east, and two thousand cubits on the south and on the west and on the north, the town being in the middle. This space will be the outskirts of their towns.
民35:6 你们分给利未人的城，其中要有六座避难城，让误杀人的可以逃到那里去，此外还要给他们四十二座城。
民35:6 And the towns which you give the Levites are to be the six safe places to which the taker of life may go in flight; and in addition you are to give them forty-two towns.
民35:7 这样，你们所要给利未人的城，共为四十八座，连城带城郊都要给他们。
民35:7 Forty-eight towns are to be given to the Levites, all with land round them.
民35:8 从以色列人所得的地业中，你们要把一些城给利未人，人多的就要多给，人少的就要少给；每个支派要照着自己承受的产业，把城分给利未人。”
民35:8 And these towns are to be given out of the heritage of the children of Israel, taking the greater number from those who have much, and a smaller number from those who have little: everyone, in the measure of his heritage, is to give of his property to the Levites.
民35:9 耶和华对摩西说：
民35:9 And the Lord said to Moses,
民35:10 “你要吩咐以色列人说：‘你们过约旦河，进到迦南地的时候，
民35:10 Say to the children of Israel, when you have gone over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
民35:11 就要选择几座城，给你们作避难城，让误杀人的，就是无心杀死人的，可以逃到那里。
民35:11 Then let certain towns be marked out as safe places to which anyone who takes the life of another in error may go in flight.
民35:12 它们可以作你们逃避报仇者的避难城，使误杀人的不至于死，直到他站在会众面前受审判。
民35:12 In these towns you may be safe from him who has the right of punishment; so that death may not overtake the taker of life till he has been judged by the meeting of the people.
民35:13 你们指定的城，要给你们作六座避难城。
民35:13 Six of the towns which you give will be such safe places;
民35:14 在约旦河东面，你们要分出三座城；在迦南地，你们也要分出三座城，都要作避难城。
民35:14 Three on the other side of Jordan and three in the land of Canaan, to be safe places for flight.
民35:15 这六座城要给以色列人和外族人，以及他们中间居住的人作避难城，使无心杀人的人，都可以逃到那里去。
民35:15 For the children of Israel and for the man from another country who is living among them, these six towns are to be safe places, where anyone causing the death of another through error may go in flight.
民35:16 “‘如果人用铁器打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意杀人的；故意杀人的必被处死。
民35:16 But if a man gives another man a blow with an iron instrument, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
民35:17 如果人手里拿着可以打死人的石头打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意杀人的；故意杀人的必被处死。
民35:17 Or if he gives him a blow with a stone in his hand, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
民35:18 如果人手里拿着可以打死人的木器打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意杀人的；故意杀人的必被处死。
民35:18 Or if he gave him blows with a wood instrument in his hands, causing his death, he is a taker of life and is certainly to be put to death.
民35:19 报血仇的，要亲自把那故意杀人的杀死；一遇见他，就可以杀死他。
民35:19 He whose right it is to give punishment for blood, may himself put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.
民35:20 如果人因怀恨把人推倒，或是埋伏着向人扔东西，以致把人打死；
民35:20 If in his hate he put a sword through him, or waiting secretly for him sent a spear or stone at him, causing his death;
民35:21 或者因仇恨用手打人，以致把人打死；那打人的，必被处死，因为他是故意杀人的；报血仇的一遇见凶手，就可以杀死他。
民35:21 Or in hate gave him blows with his hand, causing death; he who gave the death-blow is to be put to death; he is a taker of life: he whose right it is to give punishment for blood may put to death the taker of life when he comes face to face with him.
民35:22 “‘但是，如果人没有仇恨，忽然把人推倒，或是无意向人投掷什么器皿，
民35:22 But if a man has given a wound to another suddenly and not in hate, or without design has sent something against him,
民35:23 或是因为没有看见，用任何可以打死人的石头，扔在人身上，以致把人打死，他本来与他无仇，也无意害他；
民35:23 Or has given him a blow with a stone, without seeing him, so causing his death, though he had nothing against him and no desire to do him evil:
民35:24 这样，会众就要照着典章，在打死人的和报血仇的人中间施行裁判。
民35:24 Then let the meeting of the people be judge between the man responsible for the death and him who has the right of punishment for blood, acting by these rules:
民35:25 会众要把误杀人的，从报血仇的人手中救出来；他要住在城中，直到受膏的大祭司死了。
民35:25 And let the people keep the man responsible for the death safe from the hands of him who has the right of punishment for blood, and send him back to his safe town where he had gone in flight: there let him be till the death of the high priest who was marked with the holy oil.
民35:26 但误杀人的，若是出了他逃进的避难城的境界，
民35:26 But if ever he goes outside the walls of the safe town where he had gone in flight,
民35:27 报血仇的在避难城境外遇着他，把他杀了，报血仇的就没有犯流人血的罪。
民35:27 And the giver of punishment, meeting him outside the walls of the town, puts him to death, he will not be responsible for his blood:
民35:28 因为那误杀人的应该住在避难城中，直到大祭司死了；大祭司死了以后，那误杀人的才可以回到他自己地业去。
民35:28 Because he had been ordered to keep inside the safe town till the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the taker of life may come back to the place of his heritage.
民35:29 “‘这在你们一切居住的地方，要作你们世世代代的律例典章。
民35:29 These rules are to be your guide in judging through all your generations wherever you may be living.
民35:30 杀人的，要凭着几个见证人的口供，才可以把他处死；如果只有一个见证人，就不能指证把人处死。
民35:30 Anyone causing the death of another is himself to be put to death on the word of witnesses: but the word of one witness is not enough.
民35:31 犯了死罪，故意杀人的，你们不可收取赎价代他赎命，因为他必被处死。
民35:31 Further, no price may be given for the life of one who has taken life and whose right reward is death: he is certainly to be put to death.
民35:32 逃到避难城的人，你们也不可收取他的赎价，使他在大祭司未死以前回到本地居住。
民35:32 And no price may be offered for one who has gone in flight to a safe town, for the purpose of letting him come back to his place before the death of the high priest.
民35:33 这样，你们就没有玷污你们居住的地，因为血能玷污地；在地上如果有流人血的，除非流那故意杀人者的血，那地的血就不能得赎。
民35:33 So do not make the land where you are living unholy: for blood makes the land unholy: and there is no way of making the land free from the blood which has come on it, but only by the death of him who was the cause of it.
民35:34 你们不可玷污你所住的地，就是我居住的地，因为我耶和华是居住在以色列人中间的。’”
民35:34 Do not make unclean the land where you are living and in which is my House: for I the Lord am present among the children of Israel.
