伯9:1 约伯回答说：
伯9:1 And Job made answer and said,
伯9:2 “我实在知道是这样，但是，人在 神面前怎能算为公义呢？
伯9:2 Truly, I see that it is so: and how is it possible for a man to get his right before God?
伯9:3 人若愿意与他辩论，连千分之一也答不出来。
伯9:3 If a man was desiring to go to law with him, he would not be able to give him an answer to one out of a thousand questions.
伯9:4 他心里有智慧，而且有极大的能力，有谁对他刚硬而平安无事呢？
伯9:4 He is wise in heart and great in strength: who ever made his face hard against him, and any good came of it?
伯9:5 他在怒中移山翻冈；山冈却不知道；
伯9:5 It is he who takes away the mountains without their knowledge, overturning them in his wrath:
伯9:6 他使大地震动离开本处，大地的柱子就摇撼；
伯9:6 Who is moving the earth out of its place, so that its pillars are shaking:
伯9:7 他吩咐太阳，太阳就不上升，又封闭众星；
伯9:7 Who gives orders to the sun, and it does not give its light; and who keeps the stars from shining.
伯9:8 他独自铺开苍天，步行在海浪之上；
伯9:8 By whose hand the heavens were stretched out, and who is walking on the waves of the sea:
伯9:9 他造北斗与参星，昴星和南方的星座；
伯9:9 Who made the Bear and Orion, and the Pleiades, and the store-houses of the south:
伯9:10 他所行的大事无法测度，所行的奇事不可胜数。
伯9:10 Who does great things not to be searched out; yes, wonders without number.
伯9:11 他行过我身边，我却看不见；他掠过去，我竟不觉察。
伯9:11 See, he goes past me and I see him not: he goes on before, but I have no knowledge of him.
伯9:12 他夺取，谁能拦阻他？谁敢问他：‘你干什么？’
伯9:12 If he puts out his hand to take, by whom may it be turned back? who may say to him, What are you doing?
伯9:13 神必不抑制他的怒气，海怪拉哈伯的助手都俯伏在他以下。
伯9:13 God's wrath may not be turned back; the helpers of Rahab were bent down under him.
伯9:14 何况我呢？我怎敢回答他，措辞与他辩论呢？
伯9:14 How much less may I give an answer to him, using the right words in argument with him?
伯9:15 即使我有理，也不敢回答，只向那审判我的求怜悯；
伯9:15 Even if my cause was good, I would not be able to give an answer; I would make request for grace from him who was against me.
伯9:16 即使我呼求，他也回答我，我还是不信他会垂听我的声音。
伯9:16 If I had sent for him to be present, and he had come, I would have no faith that he would give ear to my voice.
伯9:17 他用暴风伤害我，无缘无故加添我的创伤。
伯9:17 For I would be crushed by his storm, my wounds would be increased without cause.
伯9:18 他不让我喘一口气，却使我饱尝苦楚。
伯9:18 He would not let me take my breath, but I would be full of bitter grief.
伯9:19 若论力量，他多么强大，若论诉讼，他说：‘谁能把我传来？’
伯9:19 If it is a question of strength, he says, Here I am! and if it is a question of a cause at law, he says, Who will give me a fixed day?
伯9:20 即使我有理，我的口还是定我有罪；即使我完全，我的口还是判我乖谬。
伯9:20 Though I was in the right, he would say that I was in the wrong; I have done no evil; but he says that I am a sinner.
伯9:21 我虽然完全，却不顾我自己，倒厌恶我的生命。
伯9:21 I have done no wrong; I give no thought to what becomes of me; I have no desire for life.
伯9:22 所以我说，善恶都是一样，完全人和恶人，他都灭尽。
伯9:22 It is all the same to me; so I say, He puts an end to the sinner and to him who has done no wrong together.
伯9:23 灾祸忽然把人杀害的时候，他就必嘲笑无辜人的遭遇。
伯9:23 If death comes suddenly through disease, he makes sport of the fate of those who have done no wrong.
伯9:24 全世界交在恶人的手中，他蒙蔽世上审判官的脸，如果不是他，那么是谁呢？
伯9:24 The land is given into the power of the evil-doer; the faces of its judges are covered; if not by him, then who has done it?
伯9:25 我的日子过得比信差还快，飞快逝去，不见福乐。
伯9:25 My days go quicker than a post-runner: they go in flight, they see no good.
伯9:26 我的日子消逝有如快船，好像俯冲猛扑食物的鹰。
伯9:26 They go rushing on like reed-boats, like an eagle dropping suddenly on its food.
伯9:27 我若说：‘我要忘记我的苦情，要除去愁容，面露喜乐。’
伯9:27 If I say, I will put my grief out of mind, I will let my face be sad no longer and I will be bright;
伯9:28 我就惧怕我的一切痛苦，因为我知道你必不以我为无辜。
伯9:28 I go in fear of all my pains; I am certain that I will not be free from sin in your eyes.
伯9:29 我既然被定为有罪，又何必徒然劳苦呢？
伯9:29 You will not let me be clear of sin! why then do I take trouble for nothing?
伯9:30 我若用雪水洗净我的身，又用碱水洁净我的手，
伯9:30 If I am washed with snow water, and make my hands clean with soap;
伯9:31 你还是把我扔入坑中，连我的衣服也憎恶我。
伯9:31 Then you will have me pushed into the dust, so that I will seem disgusting to my very clothing.
伯9:32 他不像我是个人，使我可以答他，让我们一起对簿公堂。
伯9:32 For he is not a man as I am, that I might give him an answer, that we might come together before a judge.
伯9:33 我俩之间并没有仲裁者，能够按手在我们双方身上。
伯9:33 There is no one to give a decision between us, who might have control over us.
伯9:34 愿他使他的刑杖离开我，愿他可畏的威严不惊吓我，
伯9:34 Let him take away his rod from me and not send his fear on me:
伯9:35 我就说话，也不怕他，因为我本身并不是这种人。”
伯9:35 Then I would say what is in my mind without fear of him; for there is no cause of fear in myself.
