伯39:1 “山岩间的野山羊的产期你能晓得吗？母鹿下犊之期你能察出吗？
伯39:1 Have you knowledge of the rock-goats? or do you see the roes giving birth to their young?
伯39:2 牠们怀胎的月数你能计算吗？牠们生产的日期你能晓得吗？
伯39:2 Is the number of their months fixed by you? or is the time when they give birth ordered by you?
伯39:3 牠们屈身，把子产下，就除掉生产的疼痛。
伯39:3 They are bent down, they give birth to their young, they let loose the fruit of their body.
伯39:4 幼雏渐渐健壮，在荒野长大，牠们一离群出去，就不再返回。
伯39:4 Their young ones are strong, living in the open country; they go out and do not come back again.
伯39:5 谁放野驴自由出去呢？谁解开快驴的绳索呢？
伯39:5 Who has let the ass of the fields go free? or made loose the bands of the loud-voiced beast?
伯39:6 我使原野作牠的家，使咸地作牠的居所。
伯39:6 To whom I have given the waste land for a heritage, and the salt land as a living-place.
伯39:7 牠嗤笑城里的喧哗，不听赶野驴的呼喝声；
伯39:7 He makes sport of the noise of the town; the voice of the driver does not come to his ears;
伯39:8 牠探索群山作牠的草场，寻觅各样青绿的东西。
伯39:8 He goes looking for his grass-lands in the mountains, searching out every green thing.
伯39:9 野牛怎肯作你的仆人，或在你的槽旁过夜呢？
伯39:9 Will the ox of the mountains be your servant? or is his night's resting-place by your food-store?
伯39:10 你怎能用套绳把野牛系在犁沟呢？牠怎肯跟着你耙山谷之地呢？
伯39:10 Will he be pulling your plough with cords, turning up the valleys after you?
伯39:11 你怎能因牠的力大就倚赖牠？怎能把你所作的交给牠作呢？
伯39:11 Will you put your faith in him, because his strength is great? will you give the fruit of your work into his care?
伯39:12 怎能信任牠能把你的粮食运回来；又收聚你禾场上的谷粒呢？
伯39:12 Will you be looking for him to come back, and get in your seed to the crushing-floor?
伯39:13 鸵鸟的翅膀欣然鼓动，但牠的翎毛和羽毛哪有慈爱呢？
伯39:13 Is the wing of the ostrich feeble, or is it because she has no feathers,
伯39:14 牠把蛋都留在地上，使它们在土里得温暖，
伯39:14 That she puts her eggs on the earth, warming them in the dust,
伯39:15 牠却忘记了人的脚可以把蛋踩碎，野地的走兽会把蛋践踏。
伯39:15 Without a thought that they may be crushed by the foot, and broken by the beasts of the field?
伯39:16 牠苛待幼雏，看牠们好像不是自己生的，就算牠的劳苦白费了，也漠不关心，
伯39:16 She is cruel to her young ones, as if they were not hers; her work is to no purpose; she has no fear.
伯39:17 因为 神使牠忘记了智慧，也没有把聪明分给牠。
伯39:17 For God has taken wisdom from her mind, and given her no measure of knowledge.
伯39:18 牠挺身鼓翼奔跑的时候，就讥笑马和骑马的人。
伯39:18 When she is shaking her wings on high, she makes sport of the horse and of him who is seated on him.
伯39:19 马的大力是你所赐的吗？牠颈上的鬃毛是你披上的吗？
伯39:19 Do you give strength to the horse? is it by your hand that his neck is clothed with power?
伯39:20 是你使牠跳跃像蝗虫吗？牠喷气之威使人惊惶。
伯39:20 Is it through you that he is shaking like a locust, in the pride of his loud-sounding breath?
伯39:21 牠在谷中扒地，以己力为乐，牠出去迎战手持武器的人。
伯39:21 He is stamping with joy in the valley; he makes sport of fear.
伯39:22 牠讥笑可怕的事，并不惊慌，也不在刀剑的面前退缩。
伯39:22 In his strength he goes out against the arms of war, turning not away from the sword.
伯39:23 箭袋、闪烁的矛与枪，都在牠的身上铮铮有声。
伯39:23 The bow is sounding against him; he sees the shining point of spear and arrow.
伯39:24 牠震抖激动，驰骋大地，一听见角声，就不能站定。
伯39:24 Shaking with passion, he is biting the earth; he is not able to keep quiet at the sound of the horn;
伯39:25 角声一响，牠就说‘呵哈’，牠从远处闻到战争的气味，又听见军长的雷声和战争的吶喊。
伯39:25 When it comes to his ears he says, Aha! He is smelling the fight from far off, and hearing the thunder of the captains, and the war-cries.
伯39:26 鹰鸟飞翔，展翅南飞，是因着你的聪明吗？
伯39:26 Is it through your knowledge that the hawk takes his flight, stretching out his wings to the south?
伯39:27 大鹰上腾，在高处筑巢，是听你的吩咐吗？
伯39:27 Or is it by your orders that the eagle goes up, and makes his resting-place on high?
伯39:28 牠住在山岩之上，栖息在岩崖与坚固所在之上，
伯39:28 On the rock is his house, and on the mountain-top his strong place.
伯39:29 从那里窥看猎物，牠们的眼睛可以从远处观望。
伯39:29 From there he is watching for food; his eye sees it far off.
伯39:30 牠的幼雏也都吮血；被杀的人在哪里，鹰也在哪里。”
伯39:30 His young have blood for their drink, and where the dead bodies are, there is he to be seen.
