伯35:1 以利户回答说：
伯35:1 And Elihu made answer and said,
伯35:2 “你说：‘我在 神面前更显为义’，你自以为这话有理吗？
伯35:2 Does it seem to you to be right, and righteousness before God, to say,
伯35:3 你还说：‘你有什么益处呢？我不犯罪有什么好处？’
伯35:3 What profit is it to me, and how am I better off than if I had done wrong?
伯35:4 我要用言语回答你，和与你在一起的朋友。
伯35:4 I will make answer to you and to your friends:
伯35:5 你要往天仰望观看，细看高过你的云天。
伯35:5 Let your eyes be turned to the heavens, and lifted up to see the skies; they are higher than you.
伯35:6 你若犯罪，你能使 神受害吗？你的过犯若增多，你又能使他受损吗？
伯35:6 If you have done wrong, is he any the worse for it? and if your sins are great in number, what is it to him?
伯35:7 你若为人正义，你能给他什么呢？他从你手里能领受什么呢？
伯35:7 If you are upright, what do you give to him? or what does he take from your hand?
伯35:8 你的邪恶只能害像你的人，你的公义也只能叫世人得益。
伯35:8 Your evil-doing may have an effect on a man like yourself, or your righteousness on a son of man.
伯35:9 他们因多受欺压而呼叫，因受强权者的压制而呼求。
伯35:9 Because the hand of the cruel is hard on them, men are making sounds of grief; they are crying out for help because of the arm of the strong.
伯35:10 却没有说：‘ 神我的创造主在哪里呢？他使人在夜间歌唱。
伯35:10 But no one has said, Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night;
伯35:11 他教导我们过于教导地上的走兽，使我们有智慧胜于空中的飞鸟。’
伯35:11 Who gives us more knowledge than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the heaven?
伯35:12 因为恶人骄傲的缘故，他们在那里呼求， 神却不回答。
伯35:12 There they are crying out because of the pride of the evil-doers, but he gives them no answer.
伯35:13 真的， 神必不垂听虚妄的呼求，全能者也必不留意，
伯35:13 But God will not give ear to what is false, or the Ruler of all take note of it;
伯35:14 更何况你说你不得见他。你的案件在他面前，你忍耐地等候他吧！
伯35:14 How much less when you say that you do not see him; that the cause is before him, and you are waiting for him.
伯35:15 但现在因为他还没有在忿怒中降罚，也不大理会人的过犯；
伯35:15 And now ... ;
伯35:16 所以约伯开口说空话，多说无知识的话。”
伯35:16 And Job's mouth is open wide to give out what is of no profit, increasing words without knowledge.
