伯34:1 以利户回答，说：
伯34:1 And Elihu made answer and said,
伯34:2 “智慧人哪！你们要听我的话；有知识的人哪！你们要侧耳听我。
伯34:2 Give ear, you wise, to my words; and you who have knowledge, give attention to me;
伯34:3 因为耳朵试验言语，好像上膛尝试食物。
伯34:3 For words are tested by the ear, as food is tasted by the mouth.
伯34:4 我们要选择何为是，让我们彼此知道何为善。
伯34:4 Let us make the decision for ourselves as to what is right; let us have the knowledge among ourselves of what is good.
伯34:5 约伯说：‘我是有理的， 神却夺去我的公理；
伯34:5 For Job has said, I am upright, and it is God who has taken away my right;
伯34:6 我虽然有公理，却被认为是说谎的；我虽然毫无过犯，我所受的箭伤却无法医治。’
伯34:6 Though I am right, still I am in pain; my wound may not be made well, though I have done no wrong.
伯34:7 有哪一个人像约伯呢？他喝亵慢如同喝水，
伯34:7 What man is like Job, a man who freely makes sport of God,
伯34:8 他与作孽的同伙，他与恶人同行。
伯34:8 And goes in the company of evil-doers, walking in the way of sinners?
伯34:9 因为他说过：‘人讨 神的喜悦，对他并无益处。’
伯34:9 For he has said, It is no profit to a man to take delight in God.
伯34:10 所以，明理的人哪！你们要听我的话， 神决不至作恶，全能者断不至行不义，
伯34:10 Now then, you wise, take note; you men of knowledge, give ear to me. Let it be far from God to do evil, and from the Ruler of all to do wrong.
伯34:11 因为 神必照着人所作的报应他，使各人按照所行的得报应。
伯34:11 For he gives to every man the reward of his work, and sees that he gets the fruit of his ways.
伯34:12 真的， 神必不作恶，全能者也必不颠倒是非。
伯34:12 Truly, God does not do evil, and the Ruler of all is not a false judge.
伯34:13 谁派他管理大地？谁设立全世界呢？
伯34:13 Who put the earth into his care, or made him responsible for the world?
伯34:14 他若对人决心这样作，他若把灵与气收归自己，
伯34:14 If he made his spirit come back to him, taking his breath into himself again,
伯34:15 有血肉生命的就都一同气绝身亡，世人都归回尘土。
伯34:15 All flesh would come to an end together, and man would go back to the dust.
伯34:16 你若明理，就请听这话，留心听我说话的声音。
伯34:16 If you are wise, take note of this; give ear to the voice of my words.
伯34:17 恨恶公平的真的可以掌权吗？那有公义与大能的，你定他为有罪吗？
伯34:17 How may a hater of right be a ruler? and will you say that the upright Ruler of all is evil?
伯34:18 他不是对君王说：‘你是匪徒’，又对贵族说：‘你们是恶人’吗？
伯34:18 He who says to a king, You are an evil-doer; and to rulers, You are sinners;
伯34:19 他不徇王子的情面，也不看重富人过于穷人，因为他们都是他手所造的。
伯34:19 Who has no respect for rulers, and who gives no more attention to those who have wealth than to the poor, for they are all the work of his hands.
伯34:20 他们在半夜之中剎那之间死亡，平民因遭受震动而去世，有权势的被除灭非借人手。
伯34:20 Suddenly they come to an end, even in the middle of the night: the blow comes on the men of wealth, and they are gone, and the strong are taken away without the hand of man.
伯34:21 神的眼看顾人的道路，察看他每一步，
伯34:21 For his eyes are on the ways of a man, and he sees all his steps.
伯34:22 没有黑暗，又没有死荫的地方，可以给作孽的在那里藏身。
伯34:22 There is no dark place, and no thick cloud, in which the workers of evil may take cover.
伯34:23 神不必进一步鉴察人，使人到他面前去受审判。
伯34:23 For he does not give man a fixed time to come before him to be judged.
伯34:24 他不必查究就可以打碎有权势的人，并且设立别人代替他们。
伯34:24 He sends the strong to destruction without searching out their cause, and puts others in their place.
伯34:25 他原来留心他们所行的，在夜间倾覆他们，他们就被压碎；
伯34:25 For he has knowledge of their works, overturning them in the night, so that they are crushed.
伯34:26 他在观众面前击打他们，有如击打恶人一样；
伯34:26 The evil-doers are broken by his wrath, he puts his hand on them with force before the eyes of all onlookers.
伯34:27 因为他们偏离正道不跟从他，也不留心他的一切道路，
伯34:27 Because they did not go after him, and took no note of his ways,
伯34:28 以致穷人的哀求达到他那里，他也垂听了困苦人的哀求。
伯34:28 So that the cry of the poor might come up to him, and the prayer of those in need come to his ears.
伯34:29 他若安静不动，谁能定他有罪呢？他若掩面，谁能定他有罪呢？无论对待一国或一人，都是这样。
伯34:29 ...
伯34:30 别让不敬虔的人作王，免得他危害人民。
伯34:30 ...
伯34:31 有人对 神说：‘我忍受了管教，不再有败坏的行为了，
伯34:31 ...
伯34:32 我所看不到的求你指教我，我若行了罪孽，必不再行’。
伯34:32 ...
伯34:33 神会因你拒绝悔改，就遵照你的心意吗？要作抉择的是你，不是我，你所知道的，只管说出来吧。
伯34:33 ...
伯34:34 明理的人必对我说，智慧的人要听我的话。
伯34:34 Men of knowledge, and all wise men, hearing me, will say,
伯34:35 约伯说话毫无知识，他的言语没有智慧。
伯34:35 Job's words do not come from knowledge; they are not the fruit of wisdom.
伯34:36 但愿约伯被试验到底，因为他的回答像恶人一样。
伯34:36 May Job be tested to the end, because his answers have been like those of evil men.
伯34:37 他在自己的罪上又加过犯，在我们中间鼓掌嘲笑 神，用许多话敌对 神。”
伯34:37 For in addition to his sin, he is uncontrolled in heart; before our eyes he makes sport of God, increasing his words against him.
