赛29:1 亚利伊勒、亚利伊勒（“亚利伊勒”意即“祭坛的炉”，代表耶路撒冷），大卫曾在此安营的城啊，有祸了！虽然你一年又一年按时举行节期，
赛29:1 Ho! Ariel, Ariel, the town against which David made war; put year to year, let the feasts come round:
赛29:2 我却要使亚利伊勒受困苦，成了一座充满悲伤哀号的城，我要以它为亚利伊勒。
赛29:2 And I will send trouble on Ariel, and there will be weeping and cries of grief; and she will be to me as Ariel.
赛29:3 我必四面安营攻击你，筑起攻城的台来围困你，堆起高垒攻击你。
赛29:3 And I will make war on you like David, and you will be shut in by earthworks, and I will make towers round you.
赛29:4 你必降低，从地中说话；你说的话必细微，如同出于尘土；你的声音必像交鬼者的声音，从地里出来；你的言语必像耳语般低微，如同出于尘土。
赛29:4 And you will be made low, and your voice will come out of the earth, and your words will be low out of the dust; and your voice will come out of the earth like that of a spirit, making bird-like noises out of the dust.
赛29:5 但你敌人的数量必多如灰尘，那些强暴者的数量也多如被吹散的糠秕，这必在顷刻之间，突然发生。
赛29:5 And the army of your attackers will be like small dust, and all the cruel ones like dry stems gone before the wind; suddenly it will come about.
赛29:6 万军之耶和华必用雷轰、地震、大声、旋风、暴风和吞灭人的火焰来惩罚他们。
赛29:6 The Lord of armies will come in with thunder and earth-shaking and great noise, with rushing wind and storm, and the flame of burning fire.
赛29:7 那时，所有攻击亚利伊勒的列国众军，就是所有攻击亚利伊勒和它的堡垒，以及迫害它的，必如梦景，如夜间的异象。
赛29:7 And all the nations making war on Ariel, and all those who are fighting against her and shutting her in with their towers, will be like a dream, like a vision of the night.
赛29:8 又像饥饿的人在梦中吃饭，醒了以后，仍然觉得饥饿；又像口渴的人在梦中喝水，醒了以后，仍然觉得口渴，心里还是想喝。那攻打锡安山的列国众军，也必这样。
赛29:8 And it will be like a man desiring food, and dreaming that he is feasting; but when he is awake there is nothing in his mouth: or like a man in need of water, dreaming that he is drinking; but when he is awake he is feeble and his soul is full of desire: so will all the nations be which make war on Mount Zion.
赛29:9 你们留连吧，自我蒙蔽，继续盲目吧！你们醉了，却与酒无关，你们东倒西歪，也不是因为浓酒的缘故。
赛29:9 Be surprised and full of wonder; let your eyes be covered and be blind: be overcome, but not with wine; go with uncertain steps, but not because of strong drink.
赛29:10 因为耶和华把沉睡的灵，倾倒在你们身上；他紧闭你们的眼，就是先知；蒙盖你们的头，就是先见。
赛29:10 For the Lord has sent on you a spirit of deep sleep; and by him your eyes, the prophets, are shut, and your heads, the seers, are covered.
赛29:11 对你们来说，整个异象就像密封的书卷的话，人把这书卷交给识字的，说：“请念吧！”他必回答：“我不能念，因为它是密封的。”
赛29:11 And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book which is shut, which men give to one who has knowledge of writing, saying, Make clear to us what is in the book: and he says, I am not able to, for the book is shut:
赛29:12 人又把这书卷交给不识字的人，说：“请念吧！”他必回答：“我不识字。”
赛29:12 And they give it to one without learning, saying, Make clear to us what is in the book: and he says, I have no knowledge of writing.
赛29:13 主说：“因为这子民只用言语来亲近我，用嘴唇尊崇我，他们的心却远离我。他们对我的敬畏，只是遵从传统的吩咐。
赛29:13 And the Lord said, because this people come near to me with their mouths, and give honour to me with their lips, but their heart is far from me, and their fear of me is false, a rule given them by the teaching of men;
赛29:14 因此，看哪！我要再向这子民施行奇事，就是奇妙又奇妙的事；他们智慧人的智慧必要消没，他们聪明人的聪明必被隐藏。”
赛29:14 For this cause I will again do a strange thing among this people, a thing to be wondered at: and the wisdom of their wise men will come to nothing, and the sense of their guides will no longer be seen.
赛29:15 那些向耶和华深藏谋略的人，有祸了！他们在暗中行事，说：“谁看见我们？谁知道我们？”
赛29:15 Cursed are those who go deep to keep their designs secret from the Lord, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, Who sees us? and who has knowledge of our acts?
赛29:16 你们颠倒事理了！窑匠怎能被看作泥土呢？被造的怎能对造它的说：“他没有造我”？制成品怎可对制成它的说：“他不聪明”？
赛29:16 You are turning things upside down! Is the wet earth the same to you as the one who is forming it? will the thing made say of him who made it, He made me not: or the thing formed say of him who gave it form, He has no knowledge?
赛29:17 不是还有一点点的时候，黎巴嫩就要变为肥田，肥田就要被看为树林吗？
赛29:17 In a very short time Lebanon will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will seem like a wood.
赛29:18 到那日，聋子必听见这书卷上的话；瞎子的眼，必在迷蒙黑暗中也能看见。
赛29:18 And in that day those whose ears are stopped will be hearing the words of the book; and the eyes of the blind will see through the mist and the dark.
赛29:19 困苦的必因耶和华增添喜乐；贫穷的人必因以色列的圣者而快乐。
赛29:19 And the poor will have their joy in the Lord increased, and those in need will be glad in the Holy One of Israel.
赛29:20 因为强暴人归于无有，好讥笑人的必被灭绝；所有意图行恶的，必被剪除。
赛29:20 For the cruel one has come to nothing; and those who make sport of the Lord are gone; and those who are watching to do evil are cut off:
赛29:21 他们只用一句话就定了人的罪，又设下网罗来陷害城门口那执行裁判的，用毫无根据的事屈枉义人。
赛29:21 Who give help to a man in a wrong cause, and who put a net for the feet of him who gives decisions in the public place, taking away a man's right without cause.
赛29:22 因此，曾经救赎亚伯拉罕的耶和华，论到雅各家时，这样说：“雅各今后必不再羞愧，他的脸容也不再变为苍白，
赛29:22 For this reason the Lord, the saviour of Abraham, says about the family of Jacob, Jacob will not now be put to shame, or his face be clouded with fear.
赛29:23 因为他看见了他的子孙在他中间，就是我手所作的。他们必尊我的名为圣，必尊雅各的圣者为圣，也必敬畏以色列的 神。
赛29:23 But when they, the children of Jacob, see the work of my hands among them, they will give honour to my name; yes, they will give honour to the Holy One of Jacob, and go in fear of the God of Israel.
赛29:24 那些心中迷惑的，必明白真理，那些发怨言的，必接受教训。”
赛29:24 Those whose hearts were turned away from him will get knowledge, and those who made an outcry against him will give attention to his teaching.
