赛40:1 你们的 神说：“你们要安慰，要安慰我的子民！
赛40:1 Give comfort, give comfort, to my people, says your God.
赛40:2 你们要向耶路撒冷说慈爱的话，又要向它宣告：他们的苦难已经满足了，他们的罪孽已经还清了，他们因着自己的一切罪，已经从耶和华的手里受到过重的刑罚。”
赛40:2 Say kind words to the heart of Jerusalem, crying out to her that her time of trouble is ended, that her punishment is complete; that she has been rewarded by the Lord's hand twice over for all her sins.
赛40:3 有声音呼喊说：“你们要在旷野清理耶和华的路，在沙漠修直我们 神的大道。
赛40:3 A voice of one crying, Make ready in the waste land the way of the Lord, make level in the lowland a highway for our God.
赛40:4 一切深谷都要填满，一切山冈都要削平；险峻的要改为平地，崎岖的要改为平原。
赛40:4 Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, and let the rough places become level, and the hilltops become a valley,
赛40:5 耶和华的荣耀必要显现，所有的人都必一同看见，因为这是耶和华亲口说的。”
赛40:5 And the glory of the Lord will be made clear, and all flesh will see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has said it.
赛40:6 有声音说：“你呼喊吧！”他问：“我呼喊什么呢？”“所有的人尽都如草；他们的荣美都像野地的花。
赛40:6 A voice of one saying, Give a cry! And I said, What is my cry to be? All flesh is grass, and all its strength like the flower of the field.
赛40:7 草必枯干，花必凋谢；因为耶和华的气吹在上面；真的，这民的确是草！
赛40:7 The grass becomes dry, the flower is dead; because the breath of the Lord goes over it: truly the people is grass.
赛40:8 草必枯干，花必凋谢，唯有我们 神的道永远长存。”
赛40:8 The grass is dry, the flower is dead; but the word of our God is eternal.
赛40:9 报好信息给锡安的啊！你要登上高山。报好信息给耶路撒冷的啊！你要极力扬声。要扬声，不要惧怕！要对犹大的众城说：“看哪，你们的 神！”
赛40:9 You who give good news to Zion, get up into the high mountain; you who give good news to Jerusalem, let your voice be strong; let it be sounding without fear; say to the towns of Judah, See, your God!
赛40:10 看哪！主耶和华必像大能者临到，他的膀臂要为他掌权；看哪！他给予人的赏赐在他那里，他施予人的报应在他面前。
赛40:10 See, the Lord God will come as a strong one, ruling in power: see, those made free by him are with him, and those whom he has made safe go before him.
赛40:11 他必像牧人牧养自己的羊群，像用膀臂聚集羊羔，抱在自己的怀中，慢慢引导乳养小羊的。
赛40:11 He will give food to his flock like a keeper of sheep; with his arm he will get it together, and will take up the lambs on his breast, gently guiding those which are with young.
赛40:12 谁曾用掌心量过海水，用手掌测过苍天呢？谁曾用升斗量过大地的尘土，用秤称山岭，用天平称冈陵呢？
赛40:12 In the hollow of whose hand have the waters been measured? and who is able to take the heavens in his stretched-out fingers? who has got together the dust of the earth in a measure? who has taken the weight of the mountains, or put the hills into the scales?
赛40:13 谁曾测度耶和华的灵，或作过他的谋士教导他呢？
赛40:13 By whom has the spirit of the Lord been guided, or who has been his teacher?
赛40:14 他与谁商议，谁使他有聪明？谁把正确的路指教他，把知识指教他，又把明智的路教导他呢？
赛40:14 Who gave him suggestions, and made clear to him the right way? who gave him knowledge, guiding him in the way of wisdom?
赛40:15 看哪！万国都像水桶里的一滴，又被看作天平上的微尘。看哪！他举起众海岛，好像微细之物。
赛40:15 See, the nations are to him like a drop hanging from a bucket, and like the small dust in the scales: he takes up the islands like small dust.
赛40:16 黎巴嫩的树林不够当柴烧，其中的走兽也不够作燔祭。
赛40:16 And Lebanon is not enough to make a fire with, or all its cattle enough for a burned offering.
赛40:17 万国在他跟前好像不存在，在他看来，只是乌有和虚空。
赛40:17 All the nations are as nothing before him; even less than nothing, a thing of no value.
赛40:18 你们把谁来跟 神相比呢？你们用什么形象来与 神并列呢？
赛40:18 Whom then is God like, in your opinion? or what will you put forward as a comparison with him?
赛40:19 至于偶像，是匠人铸造的，铸匠用金子把它包裹，用银子为它做银炼。
赛40:19 The workman makes an image, and the gold-worker puts gold plates over it, and makes silver bands for it.
赛40:20 贫穷献不起这供物的，就拣选不朽坏的树木，为自己寻找巧匠，立起不会动摇的偶像。
赛40:20 The wise workman makes selection of the mulberry-tree of the offering, a wood which will not become soft; so that the image may be fixed to it and not be moved.
赛40:21 你们不曾知道吗？你们不曾听见吗？不是从起初就已经告诉过你们吗？自从大地的根基立了以来，你们还不曾明白吗？
赛40:21 Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? has not news of it been given to you from the first? has it not been clear to you from the time when the earth was placed on its base?
赛40:22 神坐在大地的圆穹之上，地上的居民好像蚱蜢，他铺张诸天如铺张幔子，展开众天像展开可以居住的帐棚。
赛40:22 It is he who is seated over the arch of the earth, and the people in it are as small as locusts; by him the heavens are stretched out like an arch, and made ready like a tent for a living-place.
赛40:23 他使诸侯都归于无有，使地上的审判官成为虚空。
赛40:23 He makes rulers come to nothing; the judges of the earth are of no value.
赛40:24 他们才刚刚栽上，刚刚种上，他们的树头刚刚在地里扎根，他一吹在其上，他们就枯干了，旋风把他们像碎秸一样吹去。
赛40:24 They have only now been planted, and their seed put into the earth, and they have only now taken root, when he sends out his breath over them and they become dry, and the storm-wind takes them away like dry grass.
赛40:25 那圣者说：“你们把谁来跟我相比，使他与我相等呢？”
赛40:25 Who then seems to you to be my equal? says the Holy One.
赛40:26 你们向天举目吧！看是谁创造了这些万象？是谁按着数目把万象领出来，一一指名呼唤？因他的大能大力，连一个也不缺少。
赛40:26 Let your eyes be lifted up on high, and see: who has made these? He who sends out their numbered army: who has knowledge of all their names: by whose great strength, because he is strong in power, all of them are in their places.
赛40:27 雅各啊！你为什么这样说；以色列啊！你为什么埋怨说：“我的道路向耶和华隐藏，我的案件被我的 神忽略了”？
赛40:27 Why do you say, O Jacob, such words as these, O Israel, The Lord's eyes are not on my way, and my God gives no attention to my cause?
赛40:28 你不知道吗？你没有听过吗？永在的 神、耶和华、地极的创造主既不疲乏，也不困倦；他的知识无法测度。
赛40:28 Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? The eternal God, the Lord, the Maker of the ends of the earth, is never feeble or tired; there is no searching out of his wisdom.
赛40:29 疲乏的，他赐气力，无力的，他加力量。
赛40:29 He gives power to the feeble, increasing the strength of him who has no force.
赛40:30 就是年轻人也会疲乏困倦，强壮的人也会全然跌倒。
赛40:30 Even the young men will become feeble and tired, and the best of them will come to the end of his strength;
赛40:31 但那些仰望耶和华的人，必重新得力；他们必像鹰一样展翅上腾；他们奔跑，也不困倦，他们行走，也不疲乏。
赛40:31 But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.
